Kylie Jenner Covers Elle UK February 2016

Kylie Jenner

Hey folks. I didn’t feature as many magazine covers as I should have last month because everyone was busy getting ready for Christmas and I didn’t have enough days to feature all I wanted to. I did try to squeeze in as many as I could, but this month, it is business as usual, I will be covering all my usual magazine covers, so watch this space.

This month Elle’s is all about the famous Kylie Jenner, and I am loving the cover, she looks beautiful on it, and I am sure this issue is going to be bought quickly by her young fans, if they can afford to cough out £4.10 for an issue. I see Elle Magazine’s target market as women in their 20s and above with a disposable income because of the magazine content and price tag, but who knows. Kylie Jenner’s fans could be women in their 20s with a disposable income, what do I know.

Back to the cover, Kylie Jenner looks gorgeous on it, and I was not expecting anything less, she is a pretty girl.  Her hair and makeup is simply flawless, and the white looks perfect on the grey background, and the dash of yellow makes it even more beautiful, but I really not sure about buying this month’s issue. I am not that interested in Kylie Jenner if I am being completely honest, and the cover girl plays a major role in determining what issue I buy, so I don’t know about this one. However, the pieces to buy and fashion’s new season articles interest me, so I may be looking to get some inspiration from there.

What are your thoughts on this cover? Will you be buying it?

Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely Friday.

Gigi Hadid Covers British Vogue January 2016

Now I must confess, Vogue magazines are one of those magazines I hardly ever buy. I got some issues on my bookshelf but compared to my huge collection of Elle and Glamour magazines, Vogue magazines are quite a few. British Vogue and Vogue in general, is one of those magazines I think is way overrated. I think the bosses at Vogue, want to appeal to a certain class of people, and alienate the rest, unlike other magazine houses, and guess what, it is working. They have succeeded in alienating most of us. I find most articles in Vogue boring, with little or no substance. However, I am loving the latest issue with Gigi Hadid on the cover.

Gigi Hadid looks amazing, dressed so casually, unlike other Vogue cover girls. She looks like the ‘girl next door’, and I can relate to that. I have heard quite a lot about Kendall Jenner’s new BFF, I see her a lot on Instagram and about on social media in general, but I know little about her. Apart from the fact that she is best friends with some of the most famous young women in the world, and I think she now models, I spotted her on the Victoria’s Secret show debut last month, but apart from that, I know nothing else about this young woman, and I am curious, so I may be buying this issue.

I find her quite interesting, and I am so loving the relaxed look of the cover. It is like a breath of fresh air, compared to the other cover girls, dressed to the nines.

I am also interested in reading more about the other articles listed on the cover, especially, ‘Your Style Forecast for 2016’, and ‘Seven Ways to a Waist’, they sound quite interesting.

I will probably get someone to get a copy for me, lol..I struggle to part with my cash for magazines sometimes, especially when they are over a pound.

Do you struggle to? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

Rebel Wilson Covers Cosmopolitan UK January 2016

Now this is a very different cover girl, and I am so proud of Cosmo for having a plus size woman on the cover for January 2016. The Australian actress – Rebel Wilson, is loved by many for not being your average Hollywood girl. Her funny and witty personality sets her apart from for her peers. This woman is like a breath of fresh air, I love her!

I fell in love with this Bridesmaids’ star years ago. I love her sense of humour and the way she looks at life. Everything is so easy, so black and white with her. I wish I could look at life through her eyes, so I can see what she sees.

One think Rebel is not bothered at all about is her size, and why should she be? She looks great and she has  a very pretty face.

“I wouldn’t ever want to compete with what I call ‘the glamours’ – the really gorgeous people. I’m about the brain, the heart and what’s on the inside. I feel really lucky to be the body type I am. I love me some ice cream or dessert, and it comes at times when I’m happy or sad. So when I have an incredibly successful day, I want to celebrate and reward myself with food. If I’ve had a sad or stressful day, food is also comfort. I bought this hilarious slogan sweater the other day that says, ‘Food is my only friend’. I thought it was really cute”.

Thank you Cosmo for the light price tag of £1. I see myself picking up a copy because I will like to read more about Rebel, and also, I will like to read about the products all beauty editors put on their skin too. That article sounds really interesting.

Will you be reading this January issue?
