Fashion and Style Police Reviews Shiseido

Regular readers of Fashion and Style Police would know my love for Japanese skincare products. And how I have been busy lately trying them out. I got a couple of skincare products thanks to M’s trip to Japan, and these Shiseido products are some of them. Prior to trying out these products, I have heard a lot about Shiseido, so the name rang a bell as soon as I saw the products. But this is my first time actually trying products from the brand.

Essential Energy Moisturising Cream £59

The Essential Energy Moisturizing Cream by the Japanese brand – Shisedo, promises to leave the skin looking and feeling moisturised, smooth and luminous.

 

Essential Energy Day Emulsion £77.18

This Shisedo Essential Energy Day Emulsion features ReNeura Technology™, which helps make skin more responsive to its skincare benefits. This product leaves the skin hydrated.

 

Essential Energy Moisturizing Gel Cream £53.10

Shisedo Essential Energy Moisturizing Gel Cream also features ReNeura Technology™. It helps elevate the effectiveness of a moisturizing and pro-radiance active ingredient complex to the highest level.

Here are my thoughts on these skincare products.

 

PROS
  1. These Shiseido skincare products are great in tackling the first signs of ageing.
  2. They are great for all skin types.
  3. The products moisturise the skin, leaving art looking hydrated and vibrant.
  4. I really like the compact packaging.
  5. The products keep the skin protected from hazards throughout the day.
  6. You can grab these products in most beauty stores and online shops.
  7. They are paragon and mineral oil free.

 

CONS
  1. They are quite pricey.

 

Overall, I would recommend these Shiseido products to women over 30 dealing with the first signs of ageing. I think these skincare products are quite useful, and they do the job perfectly. So it makes sense shopping Shiseido if you can afford to. The products come with a hefty price tag but when it comes to skincare, I have had to learn that you get what you pay for. Quality skincare does not come cheap. And the older we get, the more money we may have to spend on our skincare products.

Fashion and Style Police Reviews Rafra Balm Orange Extra Cleansing

I had the great opportunity to try out Rafra Balm Orange Extra Cleansing some weeks ago and I am now completely sold on the product. It is my first time trying out this Japanese brand, and I am glad I got the opportunity. I have used this cleanser a few times now, and I really like it.

Product Description

Rafra Balm Orange Extra Cleansing is multi-functional. This cleanser serves as a makeup remover, facial cleanser, massage cream, exfoliant, and a facial mask. It removes impurities from the pores thoroughly and promotes smooth, luminous skin, with an amazing natural orange fragrance.

It is formulated without artificial fragrance, coloring, mineral oil, preservative, petroleum surfactant, paraben, and alcohol.

 

How to Use

1. Place a small amount into dry hands and rub together to heat up before applying to a dry face.

2. Massage gently in circular motions.

3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

 

PROS
  1. I love the sweet orange fragrance. It smells so good.
  2. The cleanser feels amazing on my skin.
  3. I love the fact that to contains no artificial fragrance, coloring, mineral oil, preservative, petroleum surfactant, paraben, or alcohol.
  4. My skin feels soft and smooth after using this Rafra product.
  5. I like the fact that it is a multi-functional product. It means I can just grab this instead of 5 different product. Great to take away on holidays.

CONS
  1. I would have found it easier to use if it came in a tube.
  2. It is quote pricey at £42.28 if you are shopping from the UK on eBay. I got this from Japan for the equivalent of that so it is quite an expensive product but I understand why.
  3. It does not wipe off my makeup completely especially the eye makeup area and when I have on heavy makeup. So it is best to wipe off the eye makeup before using this product.

 

Overall, I do recommend Rafra Balm Orange Extra Cleansing and I will be buying it again. I like the glow I get after using it.

I have been obsessed with Japanese skincare products for years. So when the opportunity came to review some amazing Japanese skincare products, I grabbed it with 2 hands. I have been using Kanebo Suisai Beauty Product for weeks now and I am so in love with the product. It is so amazing, and I am hoping I don’t run out anytime soon.

Suisai Beauty Clear Powder

Kanebo Suisai Beauty Clear Powder is a Japanese drugstore enzyme powder cleanser. These water activated beauty clear powder comes in handy single use pods, which is so smart. This product claims to exfoliate and cleanse the skin without stripping off the natural moisture.

 

Key Ingredients
  • Lactic Acid
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Tofu Extract
  • Royal Jelly
  • Proteolytic Enzyme (Protease)
  • Sebum Degrading Enzyme

 

How to Use
  1. Empty one pod in the palm of your hand.
  2. Add a small amount of lukewarm water to the powder.
  3. Apply the foam to the face and gently massage in a circular motion for about 1 minute.

  1. The packaging is brilliant. I love the fact that this product comes in single use pods. They are super handy for taking away on holiday as they are lightweight. And these single use pods also ensures there is no wastage.
  2. This beauty clear powder gently removes excess sebum and dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.
  3. It is free of fragrance and artificial colorants.
  4. This product is perfect for all skin types, even sensitive skin.
  5. It  leaves my skin looking clean and bright.
  6. A pack of 32 pods goes for 1,700 Yen (£12).
