Celebrity Wedding Dresses to Remember

I remember shopping around for my wedding dress many years ago; it was a fabulous experience. It didn’t take me too long to decide on a dress. I knew exactly what I wanted, and what bridal accessories I needed, and once I wore the dress, I knew it was the one.

Most wedding dresses, and weddings in general tend to cost a fortune. Just take a look at this well researched infographic, thanks to JJ Suspenders. This infographic explains the average wedding costs, so it is great a more great visual explanation, for those who are not aware.

This infographic is based on the cost of products and services in the US, but is also very similar to what we have here in the UK and most parts of the world. Weddings are generally expensive, and a big chunk of a wedding budget is spent on the wedding dress.

The good thing about shopping for wedding dresses is that there are so many options available. And we can also take inspiration from many celebrity brides and recreate more affordable alternatives.

Here are 3 celebrity wedding dresses that caught my eye –

Solange

I remember doing a double take when I first spotted this wedding dress. Solange broke the internet with this Humberto Leon for Kenzo floor-length gown with an attached cape, and it is so easy to see why. I don’t see anyone else pulling this look like Solange. This wedding dress is so her, it suits her style and personality, I guess that is why she nailed the look so effortlessly.

Ciara

Ciara slayed it in this Roberto Cavalli dress designed by Peter Dundas. I love the style of the wedding dress; the detailing is superb, and it looks amazing on her.

This is obviously a very expensive dress, but I am sure there are similar less pricey alternatives for brides to be.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian also broke the internet with this stunning Haute Couture Givenchy. This dress is the TRUTH! It is great for those with a bit of curves; it will show off your figure in all the right places. I love it on her; she looked stunning.

What are your thoughts on the infographic? What do you think of these wedding dresses? Which is your favourite and why?

Beauty Muse – Ciara

Ciara

My home girl – Ciara is the Beauty Muse of the week. She is a paragon of beauty and I am so happy to see this beautiful woman back in the studio doing her thing, and looking amazing doing it. Her new songs – ‘I Bet’ and ‘Dance Like We’re Making Love’ are right up my street, and the videos are so cool. So happy to see her back in the game.

I have been a fan of Ciara since her early ‘Goodies’ days. I love her flawless face and physique. Her ‘less is more’ beauty motto defines her entire beauty regime and fashion style. It is more likely to spot our beauty muse wearing a nude lip than a bright red lip. I am not a big fan of nude lipsticks because I feel they never look good on me, but she looks good wearing it. Her makeup is always spot on and hair is always styled perfectly. She is Perfection.

Here is her skin-care routine for all your beauty lovers:

“My doctor, Dr. Sabina, has this amazing face foam wash. In the morning I wake up, do the foam wash, blot dry, and then take Formula 13 by Dr. Yune and apply to my dark spots. Then I seal the deal with a tinted face moisturizer with SPF 30. I sometime use vitamin C as well, to help get rid of dark marks. And I do all of this twice a day, morning and night. I love the combination of Cetaphil lotion mixed with the classic Johnson & Johnson baby lotion. You get the texture of the rich cream from Cetaphil, which is unscented, combined with the scent from baby lotion, which I love.”

Wow. I might be stealing some of these beauty tips of hers. How could Future let this beauty slip off his fingers so easily?  What do you think of Ciara as a Beauty Muse? Sound off in the comment section pls. Thanks for reading.

1. Zendaya

57th GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Zendaya looked so beautiful on the red carpet last night. Her Vivienne Westwood dress was a breath of fresh air. I love the colours, her sandals accessorise her look nicely, and her pixie cut finishes off her look. So stylish, love it.

2. Ciara

Ciara looked immaculate in this black ruffled Alexandre Vauthier Couture. She is showing off her assets here with the beautiful long legs on display. Her shoes and hair look prefect with the gown. Great choice.

3. Rita Ora

Rita Ora glittered in this Prada dress. She looked so chic and sophisticated all covered up, compared to some with all their goods on display. I love her new haircut too.

4. Gwen Stefani

I always forward to what Gwen Stefani has on the Red Carpet because she dares to be different, and it works every time. Take this Atelier Versace jumpsuit she wore last night for example. She looks divine in it.

5. Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj has really stepped up her style game lately. I have been loving her Red Carpet looks and this Tom Ford piece she wore last night at the Grammys 2015 was no exception. It hugs her in all the right places, not revealing too much. I pray she never goes blonde or any other hair colour again.
