4 Key Spring Fashion Trends

Spring is on its way, and a new season is about to begin. When it comes to all things fashion and style, that means it is almost time for lighter layers and floral pieces. I am seriously looking forward to the spring season. It feels like this winter has been on for too long, and I am itching for milder weather. The autumn and winter fashion season was fun, but a new era has begun! For those who are looking forward to spring fashion, here are 4 key spring fashion trends to explore this season.

Chic Tweed is Back

The chic tweed trend is back and it is looking great all over the high street (Mango and H&M, to name a few) and with luxury brands like Gucci and Chanel. I am a fan of this old-school trend. My tweed blazer from Next is one of my favourite blazers in my wardrobe, and I am super excited this look is making a comeback. It is such a classic trend and so easy to layer and style up.

Mint-green – The Colour of Spring

Mint-green is also coming back in grand style this spring and I am here for it. It is such a beautiful colour and very easy to mix and match. This lovely shade is back in style and you would easily spot mint-green pieces and accessories all over the high street. Green is a shade that looks great on me, so I am happy to be flooded with mint-green pieces and accessories.

Powder Pink, for a softer look

If you prefer softer colours, you would be happy to hear that powder pink is also on trend this spring. This soft and feminine shade has been all over the spring catwalks, and you would easily spot the shade on the high street as well. I find powder pink very easy to wear and when I am in the mood for a softer pastel look, I find myself reaching for items in this shade.

Tank Tops are Here

For the lovers of Tank Tops, you would be glad to hear that they are back and better than ever! This trend took center stage on the catwalks and the styles and designs looked divine.

To expand on this, I have bought a few tank tops already and they are so pretty. I got mine from H&M and they are not just regular tank tops, the designs are so stylish, with a chunky chain neckline, which took the look to a whole new level. I am looking forward to styling them, and there are loads of options with various price tags for tank top lovers who want to explore this fashion trend.

Style Icon: Juliet Ibrahim

The stunning Juliet Ibrahim is the Style Icon for July on Fashion and Style Police. This beauty is a Ghanian actress, film producer, and singer. She has been in the entertainment industry for years now and I have been a huge fan of her fashion sense. Juliet Ibrahim has an amazing personal style. I admire almost every outfit I see her in. She knows how best to dress her hourglass body shape and she looks fantastic every time. Her outfits always leave me very inspired. If you are in search of some fashion inspiration, you are in luck, Juliet Ibrahim is what you need.

Style and fashion image

Juliet Ibrahim is definitely a style icon. She deserves the spot. Her hourglass body shape is beautiful but it is one of the hardest body shapes to really style because of the curves and all. However, Ibrahim does a good job with hers. Her pieces and accessories always complement every part of her and she has an amazing carriage, which makes her stand out even more. I will describe her personal style as bold and feminine. This style icon loves bright colours and eye-popping designs, and she wears these outfits like a true Queen.

Juliet Ibrahim is one of my favourite Style Icons. She represents her African heritage all the way with her stylish outfits, and I am always blown away. This woman is also a beauty muse and it should come as no surprise, that she has been featured on Fashion and Style Police years ago. You can catch up on that post here. Her skin and beautiful features are on a different level.

What do you think of Juliet Ibrahim as a Style Icon? Are you a fan? Please share your thoughts and comments below. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great one xx

Product Review – Childs Farm & L’Oréal Kids

I have been using Childs Farm for many years now. It is a great brand for the kids, and the kiddies love the products. I decided to review Childs Farm Sensitive 3 in 1 Swim Strawberry & Organic Mint 250ml. We sometimes struggle to detangle my daughter’s hair, so I went in search for a hair product to deal with that. I got L’Oréal  Kids Super Pear Tangle Tamer and we have been using it for weeks now.

Here are my thoughts on both products.

PROS
  1. I love the practical packaging. It looks good and does the job effectively.
  2. It has a lovely smell. And it leaves the skin and hair very clean.
  3. This product has no sting formula which is very handy with the kids.
  4. It contains natural ‘free-from’ ingredients and essential oil.

Managing my daughter’s hair can be very tricky. Which is why I went in search of this product. I got it from my local Boots store, and have been using it on my daughter’s for some time now.

PROS
  1. It has a lovely fruity fragrance.
  2. The packaging is great. The spray pump leaves no room for waste.
  3. It is quite affordable at £2.
  4. You can use this on wet and dry hair. It gets rid of knots and detangles the hair within seconds.

CONS

None. It is a lovely product. I find it a lot easier to manage my daughter’s afro hair with this great detangling product.
