Introducing Eves Interiors For Designing and Styling Any Space

Interior design is close to my heart, which is why I write about it quite a bit on Fashion and Style Police. I like it when a house or office is well designed and styled with the right decor. Designing a space does not come naturally to many of us. I know I struggle sometimes with what to do with some parts of our house. Well, this where the professionals come in. Today, I am introducing Eves Interiors. It is a new Interior Designing company run by a lovely lady who knows her stuff when it comes to making the most of every space. All the pictures here are spaces designed by Eves Interiors.

I love the huge wall clock on the wall in the first photo. It is so stunning and captivating. It is the first thing to catch every eye for sure. The wall mirror in the second picture is a beauty to behold. I love the hallway decor so much.

Designing and Sourcing Services

I love it when a brand is passionate about what they do. It says a lot about the quality of work they would deliver. I have worked with Eves Interiors numerous times in the last couple of months, and I love what how the brand works. The designing and styling skills are impeccable and so is their sourcing skills. Sometimes I struggle to fill a space with the right decor for my home and lifestyle. The popular home/interior shops usually stock pretty much the same thing year after year, and this can be a bore.

Finding just what you need can be impossible sometimes, which is where sourcing service from Eves Interiors comes in. All Eves Interiors needs to do is to check out the space in real life if within the London/Essex area, or a video call viewing can be arranged if you are outside these areas. Then, decor ideas are sent to you and shipped down if you are happy with them. It is a great service for those who want their home/office space looking stylish but don’t have the time or ideas to do the work.

How to Cope as a Freelancer by Ageing your Money

*Affiliate links.

I left traditional employment after having my twins, and I have been freelancing ever since. The decision of not going back to my old job after pregnancy was kind of made for me. Going back to my old job was not going to be worthwhile so I created jobs I could do from anywhere for myself. Being a freelancer/self-employed is not easy but it is worth it. I always weigh all options in life, and the pros of working for myself from home massively outweighs the cons, which is why I am still doing what I know how to do best.

How to cope as a freelancer by ageing your money

Coping financially as a freelancer has been a learning curve. I have had to learn how to ask for the right amount of money for what the job I do. I have also had to learn how to manage my money so it covers all my living expenses and a bit more. Having some kind of savings is important for every one of us, regardless of the work we do. But it is really important when you are working for yourself, as you really have no guaranteed income. The only income that is guaranteed is what you currently have in your bank account. It is very possible to not make £1 for a whole week, only to make as much as £1000 the next week. Which is why you have to learn how to age your money.

Ageing your money

Ageing your money is something I have always known about and I have put into practice for as long as I have been earning money. However, I became more aware of this after reading the Wall Street Journal Bestseller – You Need a Budget by Jesse Mecham, earlier in January. The book really resonated with me. It was so good, I couldn’t stop reading it. I finished reading the entire book on my Amazon Kindle within 3 days.

I picked up a lot of tips from this book and I recommend it to all business owners, freelancers, self-employed, and even those doing traditional jobs. The book opened my eyes to ways of really making my money work longer for me, and I picked up many vital tips that I have now implemented in my life.

The whole idea behind ageing your money is you not spending your income as soon as it hits your bank account. It can feel like a delaying tactic but it really works. All you need to do is to try it for a month and see the difference in your bank balance and your mental health. Ageing your money stops you from living pay check to pay check. It helps you get out of debt and stay out of debt.

Having a budget helps age your money

Having a budget helps you stay on top of your income and expenses. Your outgoings are all planned and you are in control of your finances. Being a freelancer means you never really know how much you would make from month to month, so having a realistic budget is important because it gives you that peace of mind.

My income varies from month to month. I have been freelancing for a few years, so I know on average the minimum I would make, so I plan my bills with that in mind. Also, I make sure I keep any extras I get for months when I am short. I age my money by spreading my bills so they all don’t go out in the same week. That way I am never short of cash, and I can keep aside payment for each bill weekly.

Ageing my money is how I am smashing my freelancing/self-employed world. It works great for me.

Are you working for yourself from home? How do you stay on top of your finances?

Kids Section – Surviving Pre School

The kids are wrapping up pre school in the next few days and I am super excited. Surviving pre school was a roller coaster. They have been at pre school for almost 2 years now. And they are heading off to BIG school in Sept, yay!  We are all super excited for them going to Reception. They are the older ones in their class, so they are quite prepared for the big change. But I think I will need to prepare myself a little more. And get the tissues ready for their graduation ceremony. I am sure there will be LOTS of happy tears flowing down.

Surviving pre school was tricky but easy at the same time. It was easy in the sense that the kiddies love school in general and well quite happy to be there. But it was also tricky because they are kids at the end of the day. And on some days, they can’t be bothered to play pre school.

These 2 cuties have grown before my very eyes. I remember their first few months in pre school and how they decided they were no longer interested in going when the novelty wore off. Learning to feed, potty training and increasing their vocabulary all happened are some of the big changes that happened in the last few years. I am already looking forward to see how they would both excel at Reception and beyond.

I know it is still quite early but we have already started getting ready for primary school. So the uniform shopping has started, as well as all the other back to school essentials. I recently reviewed some name sticker labels, which we will be sticking on all their belongings in time for September. I like to plan well in advance and get everything done early to avoid the last-minute chaos.

How we survived pre school

School can be hard work for kids, parents and teachers. Which is why it makes sense to take certain precautions. Here are some ways that helped us survive pre school.

We stayed on top of vaccinations and hygiene

I made sure we stayed on top of all our vaccinations. School is a breeding ground for all sorts of illness. So being on top of all vaccinations and keep the kids very clean does help reduce the chances of them getting very ill. Daily baths are important especially when they go to school. I find it shockingly that some kids only baths once or twice a week. A quick face and hand wash does not count as a proper bath. It won’t get rid of all the dirt they have rolled in during the day at school.

Buy cheap clothes and shoes

Buying cheap clothes and shoes for the kids to wear to pre school or nursery is a way to survive it. Trust me on this one. Your bank balance would thank you for it.  You won’t want your kids messing up their pricey pieces with paints and dirt. So ensure you send them to school with cheap play clothes and shoes you don’t mind them ruining.

Ensure the kids get the right amount of sleep and eat healthy

Bedtime is 7pm. It has been 7pm since the kiddies were babies and it has definitely helped their growth and development. Kids love routine, so that has been a plus as well. The right amount of sleep and a balanced diet does help children and adults deal with the demands of life. So ensure your kids get these basic requirements.

We are looking forward to Reception and the changes it brings. Bring it on!
