Rediscovering Vlogging

I set up my YouTube account around 2012 but didn’t publish any videos. YouTube has always been an interesting platform to me. I watch multiple videos on there almost everyday, but for some reason, I never got around to publishing videos. I finally got over my cold feet, and started blogging in the summer of 2018. A brand I was working with wanted to see a video content of mine so I had to.

Back To Vlogging

I put up a few videos last year, but abandoned the channel all through this year until last week when the first video of the year went up. I have posted another video this week and I think I am finally getting into it all again. The Kiddies are excited, which is good. I think they are a lot more interested in video content than I am.

Growing My YouTube

I am slowly (very slowly) growing my YouTube channel. I have only 16 subscribers on there, and that is my fault. Who wants to follow a channel that has no videos? That will be changing and I am hoping this my new found zeal stays for good this time. Writing comes natural to me. I can write in my sleep if I have too, but recording myself does not come natural to me at all. Editing the video and getting it on YouTube took me ages to figure out. I am still learning. My videos are not where I want them to me, but they work for now. I have a new respect for vloggers with great quality videos. They make it all look very easy but the whole process if far from easy.

I plan to grow my YouTube Channel by positing videos regularly. I will be sharing reviews, kids content, travel/holiday, beauty, fashion and general vlogs as well, so do subscribe to my channel.

Leave the name of YouTube Channel in the comments section if you have one. I would love to follow you.

Thanks for reading. Have a lovely day.

Fashion and Style Police is on YouTube

I have finally joined the YouTube crowd, yayyyy! I have had my YouTube account since 2012 but never posted on there until today. Video content and me have never really got on. Writing is my sweet spot and will always be. But I always played around with the idea of running a YouTube channel alongside my blog and social media platforms. I am happy I finally got around to doing this. I think it is about time I finally got out of my comfort zone and see where this new venture takes me.

Fashion and Style Police on YouTube

I will be posting videos on there as often as I can so come find me on YouTube. There are a lot of content creators on YouTube already and it is flooded with similar content. I won’t want my channel to be the same as others. So I plan to make sure I stand out in my own way. Not sure what sort of videos would be going on there yet but will keep you posted as the channel grows. Plan to just go with the flowThe channel name is Fashion and Style Police. Do follow me on there if you can. I currently have an embarrassing 0 subscribers ๐Ÿ˜ƒ and 7 views which comes as no surprise. I didn’t expect anyone to follow an account without videos but I would love for that to change before the end of the day. So please give me a follow. I will be following anyone who has a YouTube channel so do drop your names of your channel on here so I can find you. Would love to grow a mini YouTube Tribe! I enjoy watching loads of YouTube videos and it feels amazing to finally be part of all the fun.

Here is a link to my very first video. Come say hi!

6 Small Business Ideas for Bloggers

Blogging is hard work, and for some, it may be all for little or nothing in return. I always like to look at the big picture, and looking at the Blogging Industry, I know it will be around forever, but will continue to evolve. And that is why I keep thinking of additional ways of making money from home. Which has pushed me to writing this post about 6 Small Business Ideas for Bloggers. I hope someone out there finds this post and the small business ideas useful.

Small Business Ideas for Bloggers
Blogging Coach

The Blogging Coach field has taken off with a bang, starting from the US and now in the UK. There are so many coaches in various fields, and it may look like a saturated market, and it is, but I believe there is always space for Quality. For you to be a Coach of something, means you are a Guru in that field. It means you are successful in what you do, and you want to guide, inform and educate others on how to achieve the same level of success.

The issue I have with many Blogging Coaches and Coaches in general, is that many of them are not successful in what they do. You can’t teach me how to earn ยฃ3,000 a month from blog, when you are not earning half of that. The same way you can’t help me get up to 20,000 monthly views on YouTube, when you are only getting 1000 views a month. Many of these Coaches just sell the dream, and take your money. That is a scam, the success dream is free.

Before you pay a Coach to lead or mentor you, make sure the person has a successful track record in the niche.ย A good Blogging Coach would put the success where the mouth is!

Ghost Blogger

Apart from writing your blog, you could also write for other blogs as a Ghost Blogger. The way it works is, you write articles for other websites and blogs and the blog owners go on to publish the articles as their own, with no reference to you or your blog. I know a couple of people who are Ghost Bloggers and they make a decent income from it. If you are super creative and a good writer, this might be the best job for you.

Copywriter

I am a copywriter. I have a few clients I supply articles on a monthly basis, and I enjoy it. It is a great additional income stream, and it keeps me busy. Most of my clients find me through my blog and my social media platforms. I also find some clients on Upwork and People per Hour. It can be tricky to get paid what you are worth, but I know what I am happy to accept and stick to it. At the end of the day, the quality of my work speaks for itself, and I only target clients I know would appreciate my work and my rates.

Author

I wrote an eBook – How to Cash In as a Blogger, last year, and although I am yet to get rich on it. It has opened doors to loads of collaborations. I plan to write some more books in future, and I think it is a great way of having an additional income, if you have a great topic or theme to write about. It is unlikely you would get rich or even comfortable from your book sales, but it may open doors to greater things. It may also give you the credibility you need to excel in your other businesses. And it could also be a bestseller. You will never know until you try.

Vlogging

Many Bloggers are Vloggers, so YouTube is worth paying some attention, as there is a whole new market waiting to be tapped. I know manyย Vloggers many crazy amounts of money, some earning more than my GP. It is a field I am seriously contemplating getting into. If you are happy and confident being in front of a camera, this might be the right job/hobby for you.

Podcast

This is like the audio version of YouTube, and worth looking into if you have great content to share and you rather stay off the camera. Plus it helps if you speak well and have a great voice. I love the Pro Blogger Podcast.

These are just some of the many small business ideas available to bloggers. Do you find any interesting?
