Kids Director Chair

We are almost halfway into the summer holidays and it’s been fun. The twins are staying busy with all sorts of activities. It is not an easy feat to entertain two energetic 8-year-olds, but we are having a great time just relaxing and taking each day as it comes. How are you enjoying the summer holidays?

The twins are so into tech, recording and editing videos, and other creative activities. They have been into these activities since they were very little and it’s been fun to see how these mini directors keep improving their skills. They really enjoy make-believe directing; role-playing and the likes. It is fun to watch them bring their amazing ideas to life. It is amazing to watch.

We finally got around to updating our YouTube page. It has been quiet for many months, but it looks like we will be having regular fresh content now thanks to the kiddies so keep your eyes on the channel.

Kids Director Chair

The video below is one of the videos we uploaded this week. It is all about the journey of some snakes and some monkeys on a ship, and how they kicked the pirates off the ship. The narration was done by my daughter. I found it really funny and the graphics are so beautiful. You can watch the short fun film below.

The video below is all about a robot doggie and his journey into space. The narration here was done by my son. It is a funny story with beautiful graphics. I really enjoyed watching it. The robot doggie and the teacher scenes were entertaining. You can watch the short fun film via the YouTube link below.

You can follow The Kiddies YouTube channel here to stay updated when new videos are up. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great one and stay safe.

3 Foundation Makeup Rules

I have been vlogging a lot about foundation makeup on our YouTube channel, and this has led to me writing this post. It is very important to get your foundation makeup right. When your foundation is applied properly, every thing else will slide on effortlessly. Your foundation is the base coat and it is designed to even out skin tone. I have mentioned in many of my beauty videos, that I hardly ever use just 1 foundation. I prefer blending in at least 2 different shades and brands of foundation, to get the right shade for my skin tone.

Here are 3 Foundation Makeup Rules you may find useful –

Get the right shade of foundation

I struggle with finding the right foundation shade, it is either too dark or too light, hardly ever perfect. Which is why I have taken to blending different shades together. If you wear the wrong shade of foundation, it will appear like a mask on your face, and it will crack, which is not a good look.

The lighter the coverage the better

A good foundation would disguise everything from uneven skin tone and fine lines, to a tired skin and spots. I like my foundation to be as light and natural as possible. I find they easier to apply and to have on. Believe it or not, I hardly wear makeup these days, so I don’t have foundation on my face on most days. But when I do, the look I like going for is natural; I like to look like I don’t have any foundation on.

Apply your foundation makeup quickly

The trick with applying foundations is to apply it quickly within seconds before it dries out. You usually have only a couple of seconds to apply your foundation before it evaporates so time is crucial. I apply moisturiser/primer before putting on my foundation. That way I have a good base to work with. I am testing out a new makeup rule that says the concealer should go on after the primer and before the foundation. I will be shooting a video trying that makeup rule out so do subscribe to my YouTube channel so you never miss a video.

Rediscovering Vlogging

I set up my YouTube account around 2012 but didn’t publish any videos. YouTube has always been an interesting platform to me. I watch multiple videos on there almost everyday, but for some reason, I never got around to publishing videos. I finally got over my cold feet, and started blogging in the summer of 2018. A brand I was working with wanted to see a video content of mine so I had to.

Back To Vlogging

I put up a few videos last year, but abandoned the channel all through this year until last week when the first video of the year went up. I have posted another video this week and I think I am finally getting into it all again. The Kiddies are excited, which is good. I think they are a lot more interested in video content than I am.

Growing My YouTube

I am slowly (very slowly) growing my YouTube channel. I have only 16 subscribers on there, and that is my fault. Who wants to follow a channel that has no videos? That will be changing and I am hoping this my new found zeal stays for good this time. Writing comes natural to me. I can write in my sleep if I have too, but recording myself does not come natural to me at all. Editing the video and getting it on YouTube took me ages to figure out. I am still learning. My videos are not where I want them to me, but they work for now. I have a new respect for vloggers with great quality videos. They make it all look very easy but the whole process if far from easy.

I plan to grow my YouTube Channel by positing videos regularly. I will be sharing reviews, kids content, travel/holiday, beauty, fashion and general vlogs as well, so do subscribe to my channel.
