Taylor Schilling Covers Cosmopolitan UK July 2016 Issue

Cosmo UK July 2016

The Orange is the New Black’s (OITNB) star – Taylor Schilling is on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK July 2016 issue and she is looking very good. Now this is one cover I have fallen completely in love with. I love her hair and light makeup. I love the jumper she has on, and the flirty/playful pose. Cosmo definitely got this cover right.

I adore Taylor Schilling. I think she is a great actress and I am a huge fan of OITNB. It is one of my top 10 Netflix series, and her character, Piper is my favourite inmate. So you can imagine how happy I am to know the 4th season of the hit series will be on Netflix from June 17. Happy evenings await me on the sofa!

In the interview with Cosmo, Taylor Schilling talks about how fast paced and lonely her career can be –

“You feel lonely but also so deeply plugged in with your work and you forget almost. But then it gets to the weekend when I do remember and it’s like, ‘Gosh, I haven’t talked to anybody in real life for a week. I’ve only been talking to fake people, my fake friends and my fake family.’ It’s so crazy…”

She also talks about her romantic relationship with another inmate Laura Prepon (Alex) in the series, their sex scenes and her refusing to go nude –

“They’re pretty easy,” she says. “To me it’s a bit of choreography, then everyone is on their way home. It’s not comfortable, but it’s simple. For Laura and me it’s just old hat now.”

There are limits though and Taylor does have a nudity clause.

“I don’t know who wouldn’t,” she says. “But nobody is trying to sneak a nipple in there without telling you. Or an errant pubic hair!”

I admire her for sticking to her guns and I have a new level of respect for her after reading her interview. So many women and men are so quick to yank the clothes off for a few bucks. It is refreshing to see a successful actress refuse to take her clothes off.

Scarlett Johansson Covers Cosmopolitan UK June 2016

Cosmopolitan UK June 2016

The lovely Scarlett Johansson is gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan UK June issue, for the first time in 9 years, and she is looks fierce on it. I love the all black outfit she has going, with a bit of skin on display. The short hair looks amazing on her as well. This outfit is putting me in the summer mood already. I can’t wait to rock some summer pieces, and enjoy the lovely weather. The weather in Cheshire has been up and down like a yo-yo, for the past 1 week, so here is to hoping.

I can see this June issue clearly standing out on the newsstands, the black outfit, pose and blue background works incredibly well. It is a stunning cover, with an even more stunning cover girl. The only thing I would have wanted to see on her is her signature red lips, but her makeup here looks good too.

In this Cosmo issue, the 31-year-old outspoken cover girl bares it all. No topic is off-limits, she dishes out her thoughts on planned parenthood, equal pay for ‘every woman’, losing love and finding love, being a wife and mum to a toddler, and everything else in between. It promises to be a good read so I may be getting a copy of this. Plus it is just £1, which is great.

I love this second look. The white mesh dress and the sandals look so stylish paired together. I am loving the sandals especially, it looks fabulous.

There are other articles on the cover that look quite interesting as well. Articles like – Young, Hot & Loaded – We partied with Donald Trump’s daughter, I would love to read this simply for entertainment, I can’t stand Trump and I hope he doesn’t win the election, How to Rule the Coolest Company in the World, by the Woman who does, sounds like an inspiring read. Blogging Inspiration

I have been asked quite a few times where I get the inspiration to blog every day. Well, when there is a will, there is a way. I enjoy writing so I write everyday, hence there is always a new post(s) for you to read on Fashion and Style Police. Also, the more I write, the easier it becomes, so I try to read and write everyday to keep my brain engaged and my ideas flowing. The brain is a muscle, and it needs to be exercised, so I do just that.

However, writing is one thing, and getting inspiration is another. Without inspiration, I will be looking at a black screen all evening, and the words won’t just flow. So, for this post, I will be sharing how and where I get some of my blog inspiration.

Other Blogs

I read and comment on other blogs a lot. I like to know what goes on in the blogosphere in general, so keeping up with my favourite blogs and discovering new blogs keeps me in the loop, and inspires me to blog. Some of my favourite blogs at the moment are –

Fashion Mommy – I love Emma’s writing voice and the fact that she updates her blog everyday. I enjoy reading her fashion posts.

I Have Always Believed in the Futures – This lifestyle blog run by Rebecca is a mixture of various topics, and I love that. Variety is the spice of life they say, and find the blog posts very refreshing.

Style Pantry – I adore Folake’s style. She has the coolest fashion sense ever! She looks amazing in outfits I won’t even dream of wearing.

Honest Mum – Vicki’s blog gives me life. She has one of the greatest personalities I have ever come across in the blogging industry, and her blog posts inspires me a lot.

You Baby Me Mummy – I recently came across Aby’s blog and I love it. Her posts on blogging keep me very busy, and I love the cute blog name too.

Read

Apart from blogs and online sites, I also read a lot of books and magazines. I try to read an e-book on my Kindle every week at the least, and I usually go for non fiction books. At the moment, I have zero interest in fiction books.

I am currently reading ‘REACH! from single mom on welfare to digital entrepreneur’ by Lorraine C. Ladish, and I am loving it.

As for magazines, I go for the big five in my eyes, so Glamour, Elle, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. I buy some and borrow some every month to keep my ideas flowing.

Life

Life in general inspires me. I get inspiration in the weirdest places sometimes, so I have learnt to just live my life and enjoy it, and the blog ideas will come. However I do find I usually have the coolest ideas when I am relaxing, watching TV, soaking up in a bath tub, going for a walk/drive, or doing chores.

Where do you get your blog inspiration from? Which blogs are you loving at the moment?
