How to Challenge Yourself in Life

*Collaborative post.

Everyone needs to find a new challenge in life from time to time. If you’ve found yourself lacking motivation and you want to find a new way of challenging yourself going forward, now is the time to make that happen. It’s never too late or too early to challenge yourself and add a little added spice to life. We’re going to talk today about some of the ways in which you might do that, so keep reading.

Create Goals That Scare You

When you’re setting goals for yourself in life, you should try to create goals that really scare you and make you want to run in the opposite direction. Those are the kinds of goals that force you to leave your comfort zone and maybe even learn more about yourself. In short, they’re exactly the kinds of goals that are worth setting.

Unleash Your Creative Side

It’s never a bad time to express yourself creatively, and it’s often something that we overlook or ignore in life as well. We all need that creative outlet from time to time, and it might be a good idea for you to find a way to express yourself too. Finding a project or a creative skill to learn might give you the outlet for expression that you’ve been searching for.

Take on a Physical Challenge You Have to Train and Prepare For

Taking on a physical challenge is something else you might want to consider. For example, some people make it their aim to climb a particular mountain or to run a marathon. It all depends on what you want to do, but having something that you have to prepare for and get in shape for will give you purpose as well as a real challenge.

Start a New Life in a New Place

Starting a new life in a completely new location is one of the most drastic and daunting things you can ever do. But it’s nevertheless something that you might want to do if you’re looking for a real challenge in life. If you are going to do this, take into account legal requirements around immigration and indefinite leave to remain processing time 2017. Laws will differ depending on where you’re interested in moving to.

Make an Effort to Make Connections and New Friends

Finally, you should make connections a priority. If you often struggle to meet new people and put yourself out there, challenge yourself to do precisely that. Making connections and being more social than you’re usually comfortable with being is something that might really pay off for you. You’ll make new friends and enhance that side of your character.

If you ever feel as if life is not challenging you anymore, it’s up to you to create your own challenges. At the end of the day, this is all about finding the confidence to leave your comfort zone and pursuing things that’ll help you to grow as a person and experience new things as you do so.

Style Icon: Anila Sajja

Hey fashion and style lovers! Happy New Month! Welcome to the lovely month of June. The style icon for this fab month is the lovely Anila Sajja from Married to Medicine. This style icon is the new cast member on the reality hit series and she is fab to watch. I love the fact that she is also a fashion blogger. This style queen knows what looks good on her and she nails it every time. I fashion sense is super stylish, trendy and feminine. Her hair and makeup is always on point. I love her accessories in particular. I am always looking out for her bags and footwear. They are always so chic.

Anila Sajja on Married to Medicine

Do you watch Married to Medicine? It is on Amazon Prime TV and it is quite fun to watch the lives of doctors and their families in Atlanta. Anila Sajja and her family are new on the show, this is their first series (the show’s eighth season) and I would say they have added some variety to the show. It is lovely to watch the lives of an Indian family in Atlanta. It is a good change but I wish Mariah was still on the show as well. She was so much fun to watch and very entertaining.

Anila Sajja’s Blog – Peplum & Bubblegum,

You can see more of Sajja’s style on her fashion blog – Peplum & Bubblegum. She hasn’t blogged this year (looks like she is more active on social media) but her blog is filled with fashion posts which showcase her amazing personal style. She also covers beauty and motherhood on her blog.

Staying sane in the midst of chaos

This year has been a rollercoaster for all of us. It has been up and down pretty much from January and the chaos is just getting louder and louder. Many people are struggling and I can literally feel the tension in the air. It is important to stay on top of our mental and physical health. This is not the time to bury our heads in the sand. Staying sane in the midst of chaos takes a lot of willpower and determination. You have to be ready to fight for your peace or else everyone else will drag you into their drama.

Staying sane in the midst of chaos

Here are some ways to help you stay sane in the midst of the madness going on –

Limit your time on social media

I have to spend some time on social media because of my job but these days, I limit the time I spend on the platforms. Social media is a huge drain right now, especially Twitter. There are all sorts of things going on at the same time all over the world. It is exhausting to be online nowadays.

Switch off the news

I don’t watch the news and haven’t done so for years. If you watch the news and you find that you are struggling, I would say you should take some days off and see how you feel. I usually pick up important info on social media and that is good enough for me.

Listen to soothing music

Music is like food to my soul. I am forever listening to my Spotify playlists. My current favourite tracks are Enya’s. I love her voice and style so much.

Workout

I start my day with a good 30-minute workout session. It prepares me for the day ahead and keeps me feeling great.  I would be lost without my workout sessions.

Do something for you every day

With everything going, it is super easy to put ourselves last and be busy worrying about everything and everyone. It is important to do something nice for yourself on a daily basis. It could be something as small as reading a book, watching a nice movie, going for a long walk, or as big as buying that new handbag you have had your eyes on for months now. The choice is yours. It doesn’t matter what it is, the important thing is that it is something that feels like a treat.
