Beauty Treatments I Want

There are so many beauty treatments out there, and there are so many I would want to have done. If you have been reading Fashion and Style Police, for a while now, you will know how much I love getting pampered, and trying new beauty treatments. I am currently undergoing laser hair removal treatment for my chin, and I also had a Cryotherapy session some months ago.

One thing blogging has taught me is the beauty of variety and experimenting. I love going to beauty clinics, meeting business owners, having various treatments done and blogging about it. It is the best thing ever!

I find beauty treatments relaxing and enjoyable most of the time, and the fact that the treatment leaves me looking good, and feeling so confident, means I will continue to have them done, as long as it is not Botox, and I am not going under the knife, I am good. I have nothing against these treatments though, they are just not for me at this stage in my life.

FSP OOTD Post

Here are some beauty treatments I will love to have done this year.

Teeth Whitening

I wrote about wanting to have my teeth whitened in the fashion and feminism post last week. Remember the post that ruffled some feathers? Yea, that one.

I had my teeth whitened some years ago, before I had my kids, and the dentist told me I will be needing yearly top-ups, and I am yet to have any, and that treatment was about 4 years ago now, so I would love to have one this year. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed though, as the treatments do cost a fortune. I remember paying about £200 for the first treatment, and it was a home whitening kit I had to wear overnight. It did the job so I will be paying my dentist a visit soon.

Laser Hair Removal

I am currently having my chin hairs removed. I will be having my fourth session this weekend, and I am so looking forward to it, but I will want to have other parts treated as well. In an ideal situation, where money was not an issue, I will like to have my legs and underarms treated. Laser hair removal in London clinics will be the best option for me because I am aware of some fantastic laser hair removal clinics in London, that run 7 days a week, and even operate in the evenings (weekends are the best time for me to get many things done, as I am a work from home mummy).

I am seriously considering having these areas treated this year so let’s see, Maybe I will get lucky soon.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is the new Hollywood beauty treatment and it is quite popular with the A-list celebrities. I have had a session done in the past like I mentioned earlier, but I will love to have another session with a different clinic this time, so let’s see if I get lucky. I will love to experience it all again.

My Laser Hair Removal Journey: The Third Session

My Laser Hair Removal Journey: The Third Session

Laser Chic Hair Removal Image

Hey peeps. If you have been following my laser hair removal journey series, you would know I was due for my third session sometime in January at Laser Chic, Manchester premier laser and skin care clinic. Well, I had my third laser hair removal session some weeks ago, and I am happy to say it went as well as my previous sessions. It was as quick as my last 2 sessions, it was about 10 minutes for the actual treatment, which was great. To start the treatment, I got my makeup off my chin with some wipes, and got on the green chair as you can see above, and we got to work.

As this is my third session, my chin hair is gradually thinning out, so it was a little bit more uncomfortable than the previous sessions, because the thinner the hair, the more difficult it is for the laser machine to spot it. The level of heat on the machine was slightly increased, so I felt the heat a tiny bit more, but it was bearable.

I am half way with the laser sessions now, and I have been told the last three sessions may be more uncomfortable than the previous sessions, because my chin hair will be getting thinner and thinner, and the level of heat will need to be increased, but I am a BIG girl, so I can take it, lol..

Having this treatment done is one of the best things I have ever done for ME, next to having my second ear hole piercings. I remember having my chin hair waxed or threaded off every 4 weeks, and how I use to dread those sessions, especially the threading bit because it was just too painful All that is now a distant memory. I know I may be needing top-ups yearly or so, but that is nothing compared to having to get them chin hairs off every month.

What are yourr thoughts? Are you a hairy one like me? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

YES, I Do Want My Body Hairs Off!

Yesterday, I wrote about my Laser Hair Removal Treatment, and I got all sorts of comments both online and offline. Some comments reassured me, some made me laugh out loud, some made me rethink the entire treatment, some scared the living daylights out of me, many were very informative, some were just curious, and a few just pissed me off. One of the cons of having a blog is everyone has an opinion on what you write, which is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time, and that is fine, I usually delete ignore most of the bitter, negative comments I get on the blog and in real life, but some did get to me and that has triggered this essay, please stay with me.

We are all entitled to our opinions, but I think there is a fine line between sharing your 2 cents and forcing it down on others, and many of us tend to force our opinion down on others, consciously or unconsciously. Many women struggle to come to terms with their body hair, and refuse to talk about them or even acknowledge their existence, they prefer to live in denial, and that is quite understandable. On the other hand, I also know many women are happy with their body hairs and see no point in getting them off permanently. I used to be one of those women, but not anymore. I am a 28 years old woman and I have come to point in my life where I now want some of my body hairs off. To be more specific, I want my chin hairs off. The hairs on my legs, hands, underarms and everywhere else I can live with, shaving once in a while will sort that out. I hardly have the opportunity to show off bare legs in the UK anyways, so I am not missing out too much as far that part is concerned, but with the chin hair, I can’t live with it anymore and I am not ashamed to say it. YES, I do want my chin hairs off!

I am not ashamed to say I don’t like the sight of body hairs, I actually very find them very annoying, and I am always in a hurry to get them off as soon as they crop up. I never had hair on my chin, well that changed some years ago, they just came from nowhere and have refused to go away, so getting rid of them permanently, and only having tops up after some years, if necessary will be a bliss compared to waxing and threading every 6 weeks. I do envy women who do not have to worry about body hairs, I want to be one of those women again…….

The good thing about all this is there is now a treatment available for those who do want their body hairs gone for good, so thank God for that. You can have the treatment done on all skin types, and on almost every part of your body. You can even have a Hollywood Laser Hair Removal done, popularly known as ‘Hollywood’, which is where all hair is removed from your bikini line, from the front to the middle and to the back. That may be the next area from me, who knows, never say never……..LOL.

If you had the opportunity, would you go for a laser treatment hair removal if needed? Sound off in the comment section please. Thanks for reading.
