Hey peeps. If you have been following my laser hair removal journey series, you would know I was due for my third session sometime in January at Laser Chic, Manchester premier laser and skin care clinic. Well, I had my third laser hair removal session some weeks ago, and I am happy to say it went as well as my previous sessions. It was as quick as my last 2 sessions, it was about 10 minutes for the actual treatment, which was great. To start the treatment, I got my makeup off my chin with some wipes, and got on the green chair as you can see above, and we got to work.
As this is my third session, my chin hair is gradually thinning out, so it was a little bit more uncomfortable than the previous sessions, because the thinner the hair, the more difficult it is for the laser machine to spot it. The level of heat on the machine was slightly increased, so I felt the heat a tiny bit more, but it was bearable.
I am half way with the laser sessions now, and I have been told the last three sessions may be more uncomfortable than the previous sessions, because my chin hair will be getting thinner and thinner, and the level of heat will need to be increased, but I am a BIG girl, so I can take it, lol..
Having this treatment done is one of the best things I have ever done for ME, next to having my second ear hole piercings. I remember having my chin hair waxed or threaded off every 4 weeks, and how I use to dread those sessions, especially the threading bit because it was just too painful All that is now a distant memory. I know I may be needing top-ups yearly or so, but that is nothing compared to having to get them chin hairs off every month.
What are yourr thoughts? Are you a hairy one like me? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.
Thanks for reading.
**I received the treatment in exchange for a review but all words are MINE.
I’ve always wondered about laser hair removal but always been reluctant – it was great reading your experience!
Oh good. Happy to inform.
I’m glad you are feeling more confident having this done 🙂 I hope the next sessions aren’t too uncomfortable x
Yea I hope so too. Thank you x
This reminds me that I need to book in for my next laser hair appointment for my underarms. I am glad it’s working for you and making your life better x
Yes it is. Thanks Rhian x
Laser hair removal is not something I’ve considered for facial hair yet – I only have one annoying black hair that regularly makes an appearance, so tweezers manage that! It may be something I would consider for my legs though, I always forget to shave! 🙂
Yea I am seriously considering getting my legs done too.
It’s amazing you are doing this for you. I had no idea it will hurt, so this kind of puts me off trying. Well done. x
It feels more like a sting, than pain, and it is very bearable. If you can wax and thread, than this is a walk in the park.
Eeeeeeek. I still don’t know how to feel about treatments like this, I think some are a bit over the top 🙁
Are they? Don’t think this is anyways.
I hope it doesn’t get too painful! Worth it in the end if it makes you feel more confident and saves you going through monthly threading.
Yea I hope so. So happy am done with the monthly threading.
I have a similar problem with above my lip. I had never considered Laser treatment before, but I think this is something I need to look into
Look into Tanya. It is so worth it.
I really want to have laser hair removal. I understand Tara’s feelings on it a bit, but I think if someone WANTS to remove hair, from wherever, on a permanent basis, it’s cool that they have the option. I’d have my legs and underarms done if I could afford to.
Legs are the next on my list.
I’ve been following this journey so I’m so happy you are thrilled with the results!
Thanks Charlie x
ive always been inquisitive about laser hair removal, its nice to read someones true experience
Happy to inform x
oh wow I would like this doing just for the lip area more than most great to read a real experience
Just do it Emma x
I’m doing my underarms and legs at the moment, and boy does it get hot! I can handle it on my legs, but I can’t help but flinch when my underarms are being done. It does work though!
Yea it does but it works beautifully.
