Little Mix Covers Cosmopolitan UK May 2016

gallery-1459197875-little-mix-cover

The biggest girl band in the world today, Little Mix, cover the May issue of Cosmopolitan UK edition, looking so fierce, and so chic. I am serioulsy loving this Cosmo cover. I have not seen so many pretty faces on one magazine cover in a long time, and I like it. Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, spill all about their private lives, and it is a lot naughtier than we think. The girs talk about anything and everything, nothing is off limits. Love lives, dealing with trolls, handling breakups and heart breaks, their hugely successful career, and more, is all mentioned in this Cosmopolita issue.

I have followed Little Mix’s career since the very beginning at X Factor UK in 2011, and I am a fan. I like a couple of their songs, I think they sound amazing together, and they come across as go-getters, which I admire. I like seeing people aiming for the top, and getting there. I find it so inspiring, so I will be picking up a copy of the Mayissue for sure. Plus, the other features look promising, like: First Dates Tvs favourite show exposed – I love that show, so naturally I am interested in reading more about the exposure, Sleeping with strangers to pay the rent, also sounds like a good read.

I also find the hair and makeup for this cover very ‘grown-up’ for Little Mix, and I find it refreshing. They look like women already, it is like they have grown up before our very eyes. I find the girls really fashionable, especially Jesy Nelson. I am so happy to see them doing so well in the music industry, and I am hope they remain a girl band for a long time. They are one of the last good things still standing as a result of X Factor.

OOTD: Style My Dress

Style a Dress Challenge

Hey guys. I hope you all enjoyed the Easter holidays, I know I did. I had a long chilled weekend with the family, and I didn’t want the bank holiday to be over. I am looking forward to the next bank holiday already, lol.

Today, I bring to you an outfit post, dedicated to House of Fraser’s #stylemydress challenge. This challenge is all about dresses. Basically, different UK fashion bloggers, styling the same Vero Moda boxy mini dress, in either black or grey, and an additional ‘secret’ accessory (I got a hat), and publishing our various outfit posts around the same time.

Style Vero Moda Dress

This is my first Vero Moda piece, and I love it. I have lusted after, and written so many blog posts about the Vero Moda collection, so having a dress by the designer is great. I went for a black pair as you can see, and I am glad I did. I found it so easy to style the piece. I love the loose fit, perfect for the upcoming summer months.

I really wanted to rock this piece with my bare legs but it was way too windy for that, and I didn’t want to risk flashing anyone while running around the retail park picking up bits and bobs, so I styled my dress with my leather pants, better safe, than sorry right?

However I am looking forward to rocking this piece on holiday, somewhere nice and warm, and at home as well, when the weather is warm and still, there is a lot of wind at the moment. What I love most about this dress is how versatile and affordable it is. You can grab this beauty for £14 only, and it is a great dress to wear for the entire year, once you layer up and down according.

Fashion at the Grand National Ladies Day

We all know, Grand National Ladies Day is the biggest racing event in the racing calendar, we hear all about it on the news and all. However, for fashionistas, it is all about showing off the fancy hats, fascinators, and frocks, and the crème de la crème of your style. I love the very British fashion I spot at this glamorous event, I find it over the top and stylish, especially with the very gorgeous hats and dresses.

To ensure you don’t go to the event under dressed, you need to pay extra attention to your dress, and when it comes to picking the right dress, I will go for a below the knee or knee-length dress. I won’t bother with a floor length dress, because I feel it will get in the way, while moving around at the event. Personally, I will go for a lovely bright coloured dress with a stylish blazer, but you can go for a simple black or white dress if you prefer the monochrome look. The key to getting to getting the ‘races look’ right is to go formal. So no denim, flip-flops, slippers, denim, the whole look has to be very dressy and formal.

Here are some pieces I am currently loving at the moment –

SAO PAOLO PRINT SEREEN DRESS £169

Coast Dres Image

When it comes to Grand National Ladies Day, the dress you wear to the event is everything. It is the foundation of the whole outfit, so it has to be right. This stunning Coast dress will be a great piece to rock, it will definitely brighten up the races. I adore the fit and flare silhouette, and the subtle fresh floral print. This paired with a cream or sky blue blazer, and a cream hat, would look divine. This is a perfect dress for Ladies Day Grand National,  do you agree?

Dorothy Perkins Fascinator

I love the power of a pretty fascinator, it has the power to wake up any look, This gorgeous Dorothy Perkins fascinator, which is now on sale, will complete an outfit beautifully. I can picture this beauty, styled with a little black dress, and white heels. The monochrome look makes it a wardrobe must have for many fashionistas.

Carvela Kurt Geiger Lana high heel sandals £110 £59

Carvela Sandals

This Kurt Geiger Carvela sandals is not a smart choice to wear to the races because of the high heel, but when it comes to looking all glam, smart doesn’t matter. This shoe candy would look lovely paired with a dress like the piece above, and I am loving the amazing sales going on. What do you think?

I am looking forward to seeing the glitz and glamorous this April 2016 Grand National Ladies Day. It promises to be style packed as always, and I can’t wait to see what the outfits the ladies have on. I am always up for some style inspiration.
