My Love for Fashion Events

My love for fashion events has been on for as long as I can remember. I remember when I initially started blogging, and the dream of attending fashion week all over the world. I was reading lots of purely fashion blogs then and they all attended these top fashion events, and I wanted to do the same so bad. The likes of E! and Rachel Zoe’s show (I love her) didn’t help as well as that was all they seem to talk about. Back then, it felt as if I had to attend these fashion shows before I could be an established fashion blogger.

In the early days of blogging, I stumbled upon a little fashion show in an Essex shopping mall and that sealed my dream for me. We were visiting family and friends and shopping in a mall in Essex. We didn’t even know there was a fashion show going on until we stumbled upon the mini stage. It was fun to watch and I even got some lovely pictures I happy to show off. I also got to see some members of the Little Mix Girl Group and Ashley Banjo from the Diversity group. Too bad I didn’t get a photo of them.

The fashion show was in Lakeside Shopping Mall Essex and it was all about showing off the new pieces and accessories on the high street. That has been my first and only fashion show. I haven’t lost interest in attending a fashion show or going for fashion week but my enthusiasm. has reduced.  I know I will attend many fashion weeks in the future but the timing and situation has to be right. Attending Paris Fashion Week or Milan Fashion Week in a private jet charter would be so amazing. That is the goal.

I have attended many fashion events before Fashion and Style Police was born. I was a guest at the Street Style Bus Fashion Event some time ago, and that was so much fun. It is always needed to see the fashion pieces and accessories in flesh since I write about them so much. Seeing the collections before the hit the stores is also great. It makes me feel like a fashion insider.

Celebrity Style: Leigh-Anne Pinnock & Olivia Buckland in Manière De Voir

Hey Fashion Lovers! I have the lovely Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Love Island’s Olivia Buckland in Maniere De Voir, and I am dying to tell you all about what they have on.

Starting with the stunning Leigh-Anne Pinnock, she is wearing a lacy white crop top, black choker, and khaki suede zipper legging by Manière De Voir for £45.99.  The most interesting part of this look is that Leigh is actually bare feet! It took me some time to accept that, I kept looking for her shoes! think she is so crazy but cool in a good way, and I love how confident she is rocking this look without shoes. Only she can.

The zipper legging is very chic and stylish. The detailing is spot on, and the khaki colour is a beauty. Leigh-Anne Pinnock slayed this look easily, and I can see myself recreating this look very soon. That light price tag of the zipper legging is very tempting, plus I have nothing like it at the moment.

The lovely Olivia Buckland is also rocking a light grey leather mini skirt by Manière De Voir for £32.99, and she nailed this look. Olivia styled her leather mini skirt with a paint splattered shirt, heeled mules, and a patent leather bag. I love this leather mini skirt a lot. I have nothing like it in my wardrobe, and it is super affordable.

I am also loving the heeled mules. It would be a great summer addition.

I love both looks, both ladies styled the pieces perfectly but if I were asked to pick the look I prefer, I would go for Leigh’s look. Her look is more me minus the crop top (I don’t do crop) and the bare feet (I would likely have some form of footwear on).

Little Mix Covers Cosmopolitan UK May 2016

The biggest girl band in the world today, Little Mix, cover the May issue of Cosmopolitan UK edition, looking so fierce, and so chic. I am serioulsy loving this Cosmo cover. I have not seen so many pretty faces on one magazine cover in a long time, and I like it. Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, spill all about their private lives, and it is a lot naughtier than we think. The girs talk about anything and everything, nothing is off limits. Love lives, dealing with trolls, handling breakups and heart breaks, their hugely successful career, and more, is all mentioned in this Cosmopolita issue.

I have followed Little Mix’s career since the very beginning at X Factor UK in 2011, and I am a fan. I like a couple of their songs, I think they sound amazing together, and they come across as go-getters, which I admire. I like seeing people aiming for the top, and getting there. I find it so inspiring, so I will be picking up a copy of the Mayissue for sure. Plus, the other features look promising, like: First Dates Tvs favourite show exposed – I love that show, so naturally I am interested in reading more about the exposure, Sleeping with strangers to pay the rent, also sounds like a good read.

I also find the hair and makeup for this cover very ‘grown-up’ for Little Mix, and I find it refreshing. They look like women already, it is like they have grown up before our very eyes. I find the girls really fashionable, especially Jesy Nelson. I am so happy to see them doing so well in the music industry, and I am hope they remain a girl band for a long time. They are one of the last good things still standing as a result of X Factor.
