A new season means we need to refresh our home, wardrobe and life in general, in one way or the other. An easy way to spice things up is by refreshing your jewellery box. Jewellery like many other accessories, has the power to make or break an outfit. Which is why you should pay special attention to your jewellery pieces.
Here are ways you could refresh your jewellery box this spring.
Empty the Jewellery Box
Empty your jewellery box. Take a good long look at all the jewellery you have and decide on what you are keeping and what you are getting rid of. Emptying the contents of your jewellery box enables you to take a good look at all you have. You have to be ruthless here, no room for sentiments if you want to get this stage done properly.
It is ok to have a couple of keepsakes and special jewellery you hardly put on, but any damaged piece of jewellery or any piece you have grown out of, you should get rid of. This will create some gaps for you to fill up with the right jewellery and you can get quality jewellery when you go to the site go to url as there are loads of fabulous options on the site.
Spring Clean your Jewellery
Give the jewellery you decide to keep a good cleaning with a polishing cloth. This will brighten up the pieces and bring them back to life! Ensure you clean your jewellery as regularly as you can. I recommend after every wear to keep them sparkly.
Go for Quality over Quantity
It always pays to go for quality over quantity for most things, and it is so true when it comes to Jewellery. I rather have a few quality pieces of jewellery than a box filled with cheap high-street junk that would go black or fall apart after a few wears.
I like to spend a little bit extra when shopping for jewellery, after learning the hard way. Back in my teen years, I would happily rock cheap high street jewellery because I didn’t know any better. I can’t imagine doing that now. That would be money down the drain. Nowadays I go for high-end jewellery. I am also a lover of vintage jewellery as they always look so good.
Shop for the Right Jewellery Designs
We all have different tastes when it comes to fashion and jewellery. But there are some universal rules that we should always stick to. For example, earrings should always accentuate the bone structure and not drag your lobes down or pull upwards. Uncomfortable earrings should be discarded immediately.
When shopping for new jewellery, ensure you go for pieces that would suit you best and not what is necessarily in vogue.
Invest in a Jewellery Box
Investing in a good Jewellery Box is a great idea. I currently have 2 jewellery boxes and I find them both very useful. I recently got the second box from Find Me A Gift. It is a personalised jewellery box and fits all my little earrings lying around. It also looks very pretty on my dressing table.
How do you plan to refresh your jewellery box this spring? Is it something you normally do? Please leave a comment, and let’s chat.

Glad you do Katy. Love caring for my jewellery.
I agree with quality over quantity. There’s no point of collecting junk and still end up buying a quality one.
