How to come up with a catchy blog name

Picking a blog name is one of the most important things you would do when setting up a blog. I remember when I was thinking of the best name for my blog. My goal then was to blog solely on fashion, but as the blog evolved, I started to write about other topics I was passionate about. I decided on naming my blog Fashion and Style Police because the blog was going to be about fashion and style. And adding police to the blog name made it more catchy. So I went with it and Fashion and Style Police was born! Looking back after 7 years, I don’t regret picking this blog name. I may have gone with a slightly different version, but this blog name still works for my blog content.

How to come up with a catchy blog name

So how do you come up with a catchy blog name? Here are some tips for you –

Consider what the blog would be about

This will help you narrow down your blog name ideas. Ideally, the blog name should reflect what the blog would be about but you can decide to go for a name that means something to you. Your readers will get used to it and likely love it, as long as the next tip is followed.

Go for a catchy blog name

Catchy blog names are the best. You can look around online for inspiration or check out Thesaurus for fab ways to play with words. Your blog readers will never forget your blog if it comes with great content and a catchy name.

Go for a .com domain

I always advise people to go for a .com domain if possible. It makes the url flow easier and it helps your blog readers remember your blog name faster. Also, .com domains are more universally accepted.

Use your own name

If you can’t think of the best name for your blog, you could just name it after you. Many bloggers have done it and have become pretty successful. It all depends on your blog’s style and what you want. For those struggling with what to name their blogs, going down the self named route could be your best bet.

Inspiration is everywhere

If you are still struggling to come up with a blog name, you could get inspiration both offline and online. Tv shows and books are great for getting inspiration. My blog name is partly inspired by a fashion tv show on E.

Picking the right blog name is so important. A good blog name along with great content can take your blog to dizzy heights. Charity of the month – Dream Catchers Dance Nigeria

To start off 2020 properly, let me introduce you all to my charity of the month. This month, the charity I am supporting is Dream Catchers Dance Nigeria. I have been following this charity for months now after finding their Instagram page by chance thanks to P Diddy’s feed. He shared a clip of some of the children dancing to a track and I was super impressed. The amazing dance moves of the cute kids caught my attention and have had it since. The lady behind this charity – Seyi Oluyole, is doing a fantastic job getting the kids off the streets and providing for them. She created Dream Catchers Dance Nigeria in 2014 to help street kids and children from low-income families get an education.

Poverty in Nigeria

In Nigeria, many children have to go without basic stuff everyday, education being one of them. Around  10.5 million children, between the ages of 5 and 14 years, are not in school. And only 61% between the ages of 6 and 11 years regularly attend primary school. These stats are disheartening, which is why I am glad there is a charity like Dream Catchers Dance helping the education invest in their future. This amazing team are doing a lot to help the children, getting them off the streets, giving them a home and keeping them busy with dance.

I read Oluyole’s story on the Aljazeera website and I was blown away to discover how far Seyi Oluyole has cone with the kids and how they got to where they are now. Here is a brief quote from the interview –

“Millions of children are out of school, poverty levels are high, and thousands loiter in the streets,” she says. “Addressing these challenges take really a lot of time – with our work we’re doing our own bit, and hopefully with more funding and support we can scale it to reach much more children even though that doesn’t necessarily reach everybody.”

You can find out more about Dream Catchers Nigeria on their Instagram page. The children are so adorable and will definitely put a smile on your face.  Also, please join me in supporting the Dream Catchers here.

Thanks for reading, sharing, liking and commenting. All these are ways to support the charity as well, as it means more eyeballs will see this post.

Top 3 Tips For Boosting Your Brand’s Reputation picture

No matter what industry your business is in, it’s vital that your brand has the best reputation possible. In order to be successful, your existing customers and prospective customers need to know that you’re trustworthy and what you’re offering is credible.

Even if you’ve successfully built it and are aware of how to protect your brand, it’s imperative that you continually strive to maintain it and boost it as much as you can. But how do you do this effectively?

Here are the top 3 tips on how you can achieve brand loyalty and boost your brand’s reputation to ensure that it retains its place within the industry. Without doing so, will result in your business being deemed untrustworthy, and your customers seeking a similar product or service from one of your competitors.

Strive For Extraordinary Customer Service

You want your customers to have an exceptional experience each time they purchase one of your products or use your service. Therefore, it’s essential that you put customer service as a priority within your business.

From helping your customers with any queries that they have, to handling any complaints that come in efficiently, it will showcase that your brand is reputable and that it cares about each of its customers. No matter if you’re a startup or a long-established business, this factor should never be ignored – it could even be the difference between business success and business failure.

Showcase Positive Customer Reviews

To effectively boost your reputation, showcase any positive customer reviews you receive on your website or in-store. Customers often seek the opinions of others that have used a certain service or bought a particular product. Which means that you could be missing out on potential sales by failing to represent reviews you get in.

By providing a forum for them to post opinions (or by integrating software from platforms such as Trustpilot), you can also get an idea as to which aspects you need to improve – making your product or service even better in the future. This will also help to boost engagement and show customers the reasons why they should opt for your business over others.

Utilize Key Statistics

Everyone loves a good statistic – especially when it’s relevant to something that they are interested in. Customers tend to trust statistics and other hard data that represents how successful/popular products and services are.

By gathering statistics – such as how many people use your products/services, you can use it through marketing and branding. With this, however, you should try not to overdo it as it makes your business look less authentic.

Final Thoughts

So, there you go. Those are the top 3 tips you can use to help boost your brand’s reputation. The path you take, of course, is up to you and what your business model includes. But if you conduct thorough research and are aware of the key tactics, there’s no reason as to why the credibility and your brand’s reputation won’t thrive now and in the future.
