Hey Fashion lovers! It is Friday and this post is all about the Style Icon for the month of September. The stunning Rihanna is the Style Icon on Fashion and Style Police. I am a huge fan of Rihanna. She is a beautiful, stylish and talented young woman. I love her music and her Fenty brand is on a whole new level. Rihanna has an amazing sense of fashion. She steps out slaying every look effortlessly. She is definitely a true style icon, which is why she is on almost every fashion/style icon list

Style Icon: Rihanna

Rihanna is one of the most influential fashion icons of all time. Her collaboration with Puma is one of the most successful fashion collaborations ever! Also, many fashion designers have benefitted from collaborating with Rihanna. This natural style icon knows the ins and outs in the fashion and beauty industry, and her work speaks for itself.

I love the fact that Rihanna looks good in various styles. Her personal style is very versatile. You can easily catch her rocking a beautiful black dress today, and see her looking amazing dressed up in a crop top and baggy jeans, paired with stylish women’s sneakers the next day. She makes every look work for her and that is a talent all on its own.

Rihanna’s Bold Personal Style

Rihanna usually goes for very bold looks. Many of us won’t dream of stepping out in some of the pieces she wears on the red carpet. A good example is the Tom Ford dress she has on in the picture above. Rihanna looks amazing wearing this dress. However, it is quite a bold and revealing dress with the long slit in front and the chest region, but she wears it like a pro and that is why we love her.

I personally prefer her looks off the red carpet because they are more relatable and I can see myself wearing most of them. Having said that, the outfits on the red carpet are the main reasons why Rihanna is a style icon. Her bold outfit choices make her a style icon.

What do you think of the lovely Rihanna as the Style Icon for the month? Do you agree with her being an influential woman in fashion culture? Are you a fan of her personal style, music or Fenty Beauty? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below. Stay safe.

Charities of the month: IDAS and The Children’s Charity

Hello everyone! This month, Fashion and Style Police is featuring two amazing charities. Whoop whoop!!

IDAS

The first is IDAS; a domestic violence charity in Yorkshire. IDAS stands for Independent Domestic Abuse Services. The charity was set up in 1977 and previously known as York Women’s Aid. IDAS is one of the first refuge providers in the UK and it all started in 2 bedroom flat donated by a local businessman in 1977. The charity has grown over the years and it now also covers other areas outside York. IDAS is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire and the charity supports victims of domestic violence and sexual violence.

IDAS is doing an amazing job. No one should have to any form of violence, so it is great to see a charity supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. You can support the charity by giving here. Donations go a long way in helping those who need a place safe away from violence. You can also look at supporting IDAS by getting involved in voluntary work.

The Children’s Society

The second charity of the month is The Children’s Society. It is a national charity working hard to transform the lives of young victims of abuse, exploitation and neglect. The charity has been around for over 140 years and won’t stop until every child’s hope is alive. I think The Children’s Society is an amazing charity doing great things for the next generation. The vision is a society built for every child and their goal is:

By 2030 we will have overturned the damaging decline in children’s well-being, setting a path for long lasting growth.

The Basics Of Building A More Spicy Wardrobe

*Collaborative post.

There are many ways you can change your wardrobe to fit your style – we all have a few separate shelves for our winter and summer looks! And if you want to start dressing a little more ‘spicy’, it’s time to update your clothing collection to really reflect how much you’re feeling yourself right now. But we need to start with the basics; otherwise, what are you going to build on? Here are a few tips for helping you curate a more spicy and sexy wardrobe selection for those special occasions.

Straps are a Great Start

If it’s strappy, it’s already got a lot of spice to it! After all, strappy shirts and vests and dresses allow us to really show off our top curves. They let us show off our shoulders and arms, which can then be dressed up with drop necklaces and lacey bangles to really bring the whole look together.

So make sure you’re shopping for spaghetti tops and long drop dresses – they’ll work as great foundations for further accessorizing. They’ll work as the base of the spicy looks you put together, which can also save you a lot of money as well.

Expand Your Lingerie Collection

When it comes to building a wardrobe that makes you feel sexy, what’s spicier than a bit of see through lingerie? If you’ve got a few sets that make you feel both bold and comfortable in your own skin, you’re going to feel so much more confident in your style choices, even if you’re just wearing the lingerie for yourself! Indeed, you’ve got to love your own curves before anyone else’s, and a good lingerie set will really help with that.

So how much lingerie should you own? The most basic types are Bikini and Bodysuit, so make sure you’ve got a couple different sets of those in your wardrobe. If you want to branch out a little more, invest in a Bustier or a Chemise, both of which can be incredibly comfortable to wear while still giving you plenty of support.

Show a Bit of Skin!

Also sometimes known as cut-out dresses, these types of dresses and bodysuits have ‘windows’ cut into them to allow you to show off the areas of your body you’re most comfortable with/proud of. Of course, depending on how much skin you want to show, you can go for quite a few different options here.

Maybe you just want to let your shoulders breathe? Or maybe you fancy having a connector ring between the top and bottom of the dress, allowing you to show off your midriff? And a good slit dress is always going to be a spicy sight! For example, a thigh slit can make you feel like a celeb on the red carpet, and you’ll feel very sexy on a night out when wearing one.

If you want to build a more spicy wardrobe, make sure you’re working from the ground up. Show some skin this season!
