The 21-year-old model – Gigi Hadid, covers British Vogue March 2017 issue. This is her second Vogue cover and she looks good on it.

I like this magazine cover. It would definitely catch my eye on the newsstands. However, I see and hear about Gigi Hadid a lot so I am not dying to read anymore at the moment. The other features do look interesting though. I would love to the “What Makes An Influencer” and “Spring Fashion Special” as well. They sound right up my alley.

In her interview with British Vogue, Gigi Hadid spoke about her relationship with singer boyfriend – Zayn Malik, her open letter on body shaming and all.

On her relationship with Zayn Malik

“When I’m in LA I mostly stay in because it’s my time off and I like being with my boyfriend and doing art and cooking,” she explained. “We like late-night movies and we order from this amazing place that does lattes and gingerbread cookies. I need coffee to stay up. I’m always like, ‘Babe, let’s go to a movie.’ Then I fall asleep halfway through and he’s like, ‘You’ve seen the first half of every movie out there and you have no idea how any of them end.’”

This made me giggle because I fall asleep halfway through many movies too.

On her open letter

“The response was crazy,” she told him. “From Victoria’s Secret Angels to my friends who are considered plus size, everyone texted me and said they appreciated me saying something. The world puts so much pressure on fashion, then judges models for succumbing to that pressure.”

I have read her letter and I am glad she stood for herself and colleagues. No one should be body shamed.

Claire Danes Covers Harper’s Bazaar February 2017

The lovely Homeland star – Claire Danes, is the cover girl for Harper’s Bazaar February 2017, and she looks stunning on both covers.

Claire Danes wears Prada coat and Nirav Modi jewellery on the newsstand cover, photographed by Alexi Lubormirski.

I am a huge Homeland fan. It is an adrenalin pumping series, and it keeps me at the edge of my seat all through, almost like 24. It is currently one of my favourite series. I have binged watched all the seasons on Netflix as soon as I discovered it. So I am happy to see season 6 is out. I can’t wait to watch that.

This Harper’s Bazaar cover is beautiful as usual. Claire Danes looks amazing on it. I love her hair and makeup (the red lippie always wins), and the outfit looks good too. I would love to read this issue. The interview sounds like a fab read.

Here are some excerpts from Danes’ interview with Harper’s Bazaar:

On Donald Trump and BREXIT

“I do think that England and America are so closely affiliated that it’s not terribly surprising there’s this parallel phenomenon occurring between our two countries,” Danes says. “The Brexit and Trump phenomena are informed by similar forces and social and economic movements. I think it’s been really stressful; it’s been really scary. I think we’re in a fever state and we’re all really anxious about how we’ve gotten here and why we’ve gotten here.”

Yes it is a very stressful time for many.

On her Carrie Mathison Character

“You know, I don’t think of her as female,” says Danes. “I’m playing a person. I’m playing a person. She’s just not defined at all by her sex. She is defined by her ideals, by her patriotism, by her commitment to righting wrongs, by her relationship to her mental condition [but] it’s just really beyond the more conventional stereotypes about what it is to be a woman in this world.”

I love Carrie Mathison! She is not a typical heroine, and that is what I love most about her.

What do you think of these covers? Are you a fan of Homeland?

Supermodels Cover British Vogue February 2017 Issue

Three stunning supermodels – Anna Ewers, Imaan Hamman and Taylor Hill are the cover girls for British Vogue February 2017, and they look amazing on the cover. I know how much Vogue loves having supermodels on their covers, so I wasn’t too surprised to see these beauties on the cover.

I have never heard of these lovely ladies before, so I would love to read this issue.

Here are some quotes from their interview with British Vogue:

On Imaan Hamman embracing her natural hair curls –

“For years, I was trying to please everyone, starting with the fact that I was constantly straightening my hair,” Hammam revealed in this month’s accompanying cover interview. “Well, that was super-damaging, and after a while, I was like, ‘Uccch, I’ve got to chill out with this.’ So I started going to castings with my hair natural – big and frizzy. And that was when my career blew up.”

I am happy to see she has embraced her beautiful natural hair. She is a stunner.

On how Taylor Hill found success –

“There’s always going to be that part of me that’s the girl who got scouted at 14. I was, like, the opposite of cool. Obsessed with Harry Potter. I had all this frizzy hair I didn’t know what to do with; I wore my sisters’ hand-me-downs, which I was too tall for, so nothing ever fitted. When this photographer saw me and told me I should model it wasn’t just me who was like, um, really? Even my parents thought – that guy’s insane.”

I find these quotes so inspiring. I am happy to see all 3 women doing well in the modelling industry.
