Style Icon – Céline Dion

I have been a huge fan of Céline Dion for as long as I can remember. Her voice is so strong and amazing. I remember having all her albums back in the day. This legend has gone a bit quiet in the last couple of years but her music will live on forever and so will her amazing fashion sense. This style icon has an amazing wardrobe with stylish pieces and accessories and she knows how to wear them.

For those who do not know who Céline Dion is, she is a multiple award-winning French-Canadian singer known all over the world for her amazing voice. One of my favourite songs from her is – My Heart will go on. I love that song so much.

I started paying attention to Céline Dion’s personal style some years ago. If I was to put a date on it, I would say in the summer of 2016. I hear the person behind her new look is a fashion stylist known as Law Roach. This stylist is also the brain behind Zendaya’s amazing style, so I guess Dion is in good hands.

Céline Dion has an amazing body shape so most pieces tend to look great on her. She also knows how best to match her pieces and accessories, and has an amazing carriage.

I know many celebrities with a huge wardrobe filled with designer items and have some of the best stylists at their disposal, but with all the resources available, these celebrities never look good. So it is really not about what they have but what they do with what they have.

What I love about Céline Dion is the fact that she can look glamorous wearing almost anything. She can leave her house wearing pieces and accessories from the 90s, and look amazing. That is what I call a Style Icon. Someone who wears her clothes and not the other way round. It is hard to believe this stylish woman is 50 years old already. She could easily pass for a woman in her 40s.

How to Style Polka Dots this Spring

Polka dots are fast becoming a fashion statement. They add fun and playfulness to our outfits. As influencers and celebrities show up more in their polka dot ensembles, it’s only natural to expect more polka dot outfits this spring. So how will you style polka dots this spring?

It seems like the fashion conscious have caught a wind of how versatile polka dots outfits can be. Whether you wear them at formal occasions, to work or causal outings, polka dots have proven to be a must-have item in your wardrobe.

Pair polka dots with a solid coloured piece

This is an age-old unfailing rule when it comes to styling polka dot clothing items. Pair your polka dot top with solid coloured pattern-less bottoms, like a skirt or trousers and you can never go wrong.

Play around with pairing polka dots with other patterns like stripes or checks to add some adventure and edginess to your outfit.

Polka dots do really well not only with the famous black and while. They work great with bright colours like yellow and orange which perfectly depicts the spring time.

Don’t be afraid to go bold and venture into more yellows, oranges, bright blues and pinks. Pair them with your polka dots pieces to add a lot of fun and playfulness with the bright and bold background. It works perfectly either way whether it is a bright top or bottom.

Spring has an easy laid back vibe which people express in their choice of clothing. A good example is easy to slip on clothing like maxi dresses and jumpsuits.
