My Laser Hair Removal Journey: The Sixth Session

Laser Hair Removal Treatment at Laser Chic Image

I had my sixth and last (for now) laser hair removal treatment some days ago. If you remember, I had my fifth laser hair removal session sometime in April, and I was advised to give it a couple of months before coming in for my last session. Well, I began to notice some fine hairs on my chin some weeks ago, so I got my last session booked. For those who do not know or for those who have forgotten what I am on about, since it has been a while I have written about my laser hair removal journey, let me fill you in……

I am quite hairy. It runs in the family! But I like to have my hair where it looks pretty. So my eyebrows, on my head, eyelashes, looks fab. But any other part of my body, I do not like. So when an opportunity came for me to have a laser hair treatment done, I jumped at it! I decided to have the treatment done on my chin as I find it really annoying when I see hairs on it. Before I started this treatment, I used to have it threaded off, while I shaved or used a hair removal cream on every other part. I found that I had to thread my chin every 6 weeks, and I also found threading very painful.

I started this treatment in November 2015, and so far I am seriously amazed at the results. The hair on my chin do not grow at the terrific rate they used to before, and when they do surface, they are so fine, you can hardly feel them, not half as coarse as they use to be before the treatment.

I had about 6 weeks in between all treatments except the last treatment, I waited 3 months before I realised I needed it. The last session at Laser Chic Manchester, went as smoothly as all other sessions. It was quick, I was done in about 10 minutes. It was slightly more uncomfortable than the previous treatments. My skin felt hot for the rest of the day. I guess because it has been a while. Thanks to the Janssen Cosmetics Sensitive Skin Complex, my chin started to fill a lot better after some hours, and it is completely fine now.

So far I am really impressed with the results. I know I may be needing some top-ups in the future, but for now I am happy I no longer have to go through the painful threading so regularly. And I am happy I no longer have to deal with my coarse chin hairs. I love my new hair-free chin. It feels freaking amazing.

If you think you need this treatment, and you are around the North West, I recommend you pop into Laser Chic Clinic, at Didsbury Manchester, for a consultation. They have a huge offer going on at the moment, where you get 2 sessions free when you pay for 4 sessions. They also offer other skincare treatments like Collagen Facials and Facial Aesthetic treatments. And they have an amazing staff that make you feel relaxed and at ease.

What are your thoughts? Have you ever considered having a hair removal treatment done?

My Laser Hair Removal Journey: The Fourth Session

My Laser Hair Removal Journey: The Fourth Session

Laser Hair Removal Manchester Image

Hey peeps. If you have been following my laser hair removal journey, then you will know all about what stage I am at with my treatment, and this lovely green chair, where all the magic happens. Well if you didn’t know, you know now (wink wink). This is my fourth session, I am having my chin hair permanently removed, through laser treatment, at Laser Chic Manchester, and it is going extremely well. I had really coarse hair on my chin, but it has gone really fine and thin now, and the new growth that comes up weeks after the treatment is almost invisible to the naked eye.

This session went as normal, the lovely Seti, the clinic owner, wiped my makeup off my chin, and then the laser machine got to work. The heat on the machine was increased in order to get to the very thin hairs on the chin, so it was slightly more uncomfortable than my previous sessions, but it was still very bearable. The treatment was over in less than 10 minutes, and then the Janssen Cosmetics Sensitive Skin Complex was applied to the chin to cool off.

I am loving the fact that my chin will be hair-free in a couple of weeks, and I can’t wait. I have two more sessions which I will be having within the next 8 weeks, and I am so excited.

I think most women are uncomfortable talking about their body insecurities, whether it is facial hairs, stretch marks or other skin problems, and will shy away from even telling themselves they need to sort out whatever the insecurities might be, and I get that many people think laser treatment is kind of harmful and will hurt like hell, and they are so wrong. There is nothing harmful about laser treatments as long as it is done at the right clinic, and yea it could hurt, depending on what your pain threshold. I find it a tiny bit uncomfortable, like a sting, but definitely not as painful as waxing or threading, so if you can wax or thread, then you can undergo laser treatment.

My Laser Hair Removal Journey: The First Session

Laser Chic Manchester

So last week, I told you all about me starting my laser hair removal treatment, and I even had a little rant about me wanting my body hairs off and all. Well, here is an update, I had my first session at Laser Chic Clinic in Manchester and I am glad to say it well extremely well. I got in the clinic in time and was attended to immediately by the lovely Seti. Next, I got on the green chair, where all the magic happens, took off all the makeup on my chin with some wipes supplied by the clinic (makeup needs to be completely off the area to be treated in order to avoid burns), got the protective shades on and we got to work.

Laser Hair Removal Machine

The laser machine targets the hair follicles, so you feel a sting (it felt like a sting to me) when it comes in contact with hair, and you smell the hair burn as well, which confirms it, lol. When there is no longer hair in the area, you feel and smell nothing. The lovely laser hair removal machine is pictured above, science is amazing!

My Laser Hair Removal Journey

The entire session was super quick, it lasted for about 15 minutes, I was in and out in no time, which was great. Regarding the pain, I didn’t find the treatment painful at all. In fact, I found this session a lot easier than the patch test, and I guess it is because I knew what to expect, and I had no surprises. Also, the cool air was on the area, alongside the laser machine, so I didn’t feel the heat too much.

Most people would find this treatment bearable. A friend of mine is also having a laser hair treatment done in a different country, and it was a walk in the park for her too.

After the treatment, Janssen Cosmetics Sensitive Skin Complex was applied to the area as you can see above. This lotion prevents skin irritation, reduces redness, improves skin resilience, restores the skin natural protection and provides plenty of moisture. This was applied after the patch test as well, and is highly recommend by the lovely ladies at Laser Chic Clinic, so I bought one of it to take home. They go for £37 for a 30ml. I apply the lotion to my clean chin twice a day for the first few days after treatment, and as when required. To be honest, I haven’t had a real reason to apply since my treatment, but it is better to be safe.

Janssen Cosmetics

I have my next session booked in for sometime in December and I am so looking forward to it. I need to get them hairs all out, and I am hoping to be hair-free real soon. If you are around Manchester/Cheshire, You can book your free consultation at Laser Chic Clinic, not just because I am telling you to, but because they are one of the best in the area. I will be blogging about all my sessions, so look out for the next post.

So, what are your thoughts? Sound off in the comment section.

Thanks for reading.
