Affordable Laser Hair Removal in London

*Collaborative post.

I had my Laser Hair Removal Treatment on my chin in 2016. If you are a regular reader of Fashion and Style Police, you would know all about my Laser Hair Removal Journey. I wrote about it extensively on this blog. I had 6 treatments and they were really effective. Waxing and threading were a thing of the past. I didn’t have to worry about going into the beauty salon every month to get my chin waxed or threaded. My chin was smooth and completely hair free for years, but I think I now need some more treatments as hairs have started to crop up again.

I am looking to book a session with an affordable laser hair removal clinic in London over the summer holidays, and I am quite excited about that. Summer is the season to show some skin, and I want every part of my skin looking summery.

Affordable Laser Hair Removal in London

When it comes to having laser hair removal treatments, I always go for clinics with a great reputation and affordable prices. Usually, an average person would need around 6 – 8 laser hair removal treatments, and these treatments cost money. So the cheaper the price per session, the better. I recently came across Premier Laser Clinic and I love their affordable treatment packages. What makes their packages so amazing?

Free No-Obligation Consultation

This clinic offers a free no-obligation consultation which is amazing. Many clinics charge a consultation fee which I think is extortionate. The last thing I want to pay for is a few minutes consultation for a treatment I am going to pay for. So I only go to clinics that offer free consultation.

Free Patch Test

Premier Laser Clinic offers a free patch test. A patch test is a quick 5 minutes treatment on the area to see how your skin reacts to the laser. Many clinics charge for this, but Premier Laser Clinic doesn’t.

Monthly Finance Options

The cost of laser hair removal treatments can be pricey depending on the areas you want treated and how many sessions you need. Which is why being able to pay monthly is a great for those who need it. This Laser Hair Removal Clinic in London has monthly finance options available.

Offers and Discounts

If you are thinking of having laser hair removal in London, and you are on a tight budget, you should check out Premier Laser and Skin Clinics. The industry’s leading laser hair removal specialists have current offers of up to 40% off for 6 sessions, 50% off for 8 sessions, 50% off any single laser hair removal treatment and 10% student discount off course of 6 or 8 sessions of laser hair removal.

As you can see, Premier Laser and Skin Clinic has amazing packages to help their customers save money. Unlike other laser hair removal clinics in London, their packages are very affordable. Their website is also very user friendly and informative. There is so much information on every treatment offered, and I love that about it.

Have you had a laser hair removal treatment before? If yes, what was your experience like? If not, do you ever think of having one?

5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment

I had my last session of my laser hair removal treatment last year. There were 6 sessions in total including the patch treatment. Many people have asked me about my laser hair removal experience, and some questions have been asked a few times by different people. So I thought writing a post on 5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment would be useful.

The laser hair removal treatment I had was on my chin. I found my chin hairs very annoying. The best option for me was to have the laser treatment, since waxing and threading were not the keeping my chin hair-free long enough. I would 100% recommend this treatment to anyone in need of it. I found it very effective. But before you go ahead, here are some things you need to know you start the treatment.

5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment

Avoid the sun before your treatment

It is best to stay out of the sun before your treatment. You won’t be able to have the treatment done if the area has a sun burn. It is best to have the treatment done in the autumn/winter months if possible.

You should also avoid tanning beds, spray tans, tanning lotion and makeup on the area to be treated. I had to always wipe my chin area completely before the treatment to ensure there was no makeup on it.

You will need a couple of sessions

You will need a couple of sessions to achieve good results. I had 6 sessions and I know someone who had 12 sessions. The number of sessions you have depends on the area to be treated, the type of hair to be removed and many other factors.

Consistency is the way to achieve good results. So ensure you have as many treatments as needed, and at the right time too.  I went for my treatments every 4/6 weeks.

The pain is bearable

I found the pain bearable, but maybe I just have a good pain threshold. Many people I know complain about how uncomfortable it is and I agree. It is uncomfortable but not as painful as I imagined.

It is suitable on all skin types

The laser hair removal treatment I had is suitable for all skin types. You can find out more about it being suitable for your skin type from this short YouTube video.

Do not wax or thread after treatment

You can shave, but make sure you don’t wax or thread after each treatment. Whilst having the treatment, pulling out your hair follicles through waxing and threading hinders the process.

Have you ever thought of having laser hair removal treatment? If yes, what is stopping you?

My Laser Hair Removal Journey: The Sixth Session

Laser Hair Removal Treatment at Laser Chic Image

I had my sixth and last (for now) laser hair removal treatment some days ago. If you remember, I had my fifth laser hair removal session sometime in April, and I was advised to give it a couple of months before coming in for my last session. Well, I began to notice some fine hairs on my chin some weeks ago, so I got my last session booked. For those who do not know or for those who have forgotten what I am on about, since it has been a while I have written about my laser hair removal journey, let me fill you in……

I am quite hairy. It runs in the family! But I like to have my hair where it looks pretty. So my eyebrows, on my head, eyelashes, looks fab. But any other part of my body, I do not like. So when an opportunity came for me to have a laser hair treatment done, I jumped at it! I decided to have the treatment done on my chin as I find it really annoying when I see hairs on it. Before I started this treatment, I used to have it threaded off, while I shaved or used a hair removal cream on every other part. I found that I had to thread my chin every 6 weeks, and I also found threading very painful.

I started this treatment in November 2015, and so far I am seriously amazed at the results. The hair on my chin do not grow at the terrific rate they used to before, and when they do surface, they are so fine, you can hardly feel them, not half as coarse as they use to be before the treatment.

I had about 6 weeks in between all treatments except the last treatment, I waited 3 months before I realised I needed it. The last session at Laser Chic Manchester, went as smoothly as all other sessions. It was quick, I was done in about 10 minutes. It was slightly more uncomfortable than the previous treatments. My skin felt hot for the rest of the day. I guess because it has been a while. Thanks to the Janssen Cosmetics Sensitive Skin Complex, my chin started to fill a lot better after some hours, and it is completely fine now.

So far I am really impressed with the results. I know I may be needing some top-ups in the future, but for now I am happy I no longer have to go through the painful threading so regularly. And I am happy I no longer have to deal with my coarse chin hairs. I love my new hair-free chin. It feels freaking amazing.

If you think you need this treatment, and you are around the North West, I recommend you pop into Laser Chic Clinic, at Didsbury Manchester, for a consultation. They have a huge offer going on at the moment, where you get 2 sessions free when you pay for 4 sessions. They also offer other skincare treatments like Collagen Facials and Facial Aesthetic treatments. And they have an amazing staff that make you feel relaxed and at ease.

What are your thoughts? Have you ever considered having a hair removal treatment done?
