Product Review: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour All-Over Miracle Oil

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour All Over Miracle Oil Image

This product right here is a vivid example of ‘the blogger made me buy it’ purchase. Prior to buying this Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour All-Over Miracle Oil, I have heard and seen a lot of it on social media and on some of my favourite blogs. And I have recently fallen in love with body oils, so I knew I had to buy it. And I didn’t just buy it, I made my mum buy it as well, lol..

I have used this product for weeks now and I have quite a lot to say about it but before I dive right into it, here is what Elizabeth Arden has to say about it:

Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour® All-Over Miracle Oil is a versatile, multi-tasking formula for the face, body and hair. Infused with Tsubaki oil, an ultra-hydrating ingredient that works to deliver long-lasting moisture, revealing radiant, healthy-looking skin with a firmer appearance.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. I like the packaging. I like when products come in a pump bottle.
  2. I love the fresh smell of this oil. It smells so good and the fragrance stays on for hours.
  3. I like the fact that I can use it all over my body – body, face, hair. Instead of buying 3 separate body oils, I just buy 1. Great to take away on holiday. It is a great multi-tasking product.
  4. My skin feels smooth and soft after each use.
  5. I get this glow after using the product.
  6. It has a dry oil texture and absorbs quickly, so not too oily for the face or hair.
  7. It is easily accessible in most stores for £29 for a 100ml bottle.

Product Review: Clinique Nude Pop Lipstick & Primer

This is Clinique Creamy Nude Lipstick is my very first Clinique Lipstick and also my very first nude lipstick. I got this lipstick sample from a Tanya Blur Glamour Magazine November 2015, and I must say I am very happy I got to try a nude lipstick for free and tell you all about it.

Clinique Nude Lipstick Image

I love seeing nude lipsticks on ladies. I think it is a pretty lip colour but I never had the balls to try it. I always thought it would look weird on me because of my skin tone and I was so right. Before I dive into the review, here is what Clinique has to say about their ‘Pop Lip’ Lipstick range.

Luxurious yet weightless formula merges bold, saturated colour with a smoothing primer. Glides on effortlessly to a modern-velvet finish. Colour stays true, keeps lips comfortably moisturized for 8 hours. Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free.

Here are my thoughts on this lipstick:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging a lot. I looks so pretty.
  2. I like the fact that it is a lipstick and a primer in 1.
  3. It moisturises my dry lips perfectly.
  4. I like the smooth texture.
  5. It is readily available in Debenhams, House of Fraser, Boots stores and many other stores for about £16.

CONS

  1. I don’t like the colour on me at all. It is a pinky nude and it doesn’t suit me.
  2. It is not long-lasting. Wears off pretty quickly.

Overall, I am not impressed with this lipstick at all. The shade is not for me. It gives me the ‘washed out’ look. I am also not happy with the staying power of the lipstick. It does not stay on long at all. I am happy I got to try this for free before buying as I have always wanted to try a nude lippie. There are many more colours in the Clinique Pop Lip Lipstick range, and a few of them do look nice. The Berry Pop, Passion Pop and the Cherry Pop look right up my street. Debenhams stocks the whole range, so may give them a go some day.

What do you think of this Clinique Nude Pop Lipstick & Primer? Have you tried any lipstick from Clinique’s Pop Lip range?
