The Gift of a Scent

The gift of a scent is one of the best gifts you can give a perfume lover like me because you are not only giving me a perfect present I would love, you are also gifting me a memory. And since it is the season of giving, I have been thinking of various fragrances and perfumes and which scents I would love to give and receive this Christmas. Choosing the right scent for a loved one can be very tricky, you have to get it right which means you have to know what scents the person would like. It can’t be too strong or too mild, it can be a weak or an overpowering fragrance, it has to be just perfect. Which is why I won’t recommend you buy a perfume as a Christmas gift except you know the recipient of the gift inside out.

Here are a few perfume ideas you may find useful –

OOTD: Wedding Guest Outfit

wedding-dress-picture

You don’t want to know how old this dress I am wearing is, you really don’t. It is older than Fashion and Style Police (going to be 4 in October, whoop whoop), and it is older than many other pieces in my wardrobe. I was pleasantly surprised to see I could still fit right into it. Quality speaks without saying a word, and that is why I like to spend that bit extra on my pieces so they can last for as long as I need them to. I also take good care of my clothes as well, and I guess the extra care adds to the lifetime of the pieces.

I wore this outfit some days ago. I have a wedding to attend and I needed to shop my closet for wedding worthy pieces to style, so these pieces came to mind. The dress is an oldie as you all know by now, but the navy blue fascinator is not. It was sent some days ago, and I am happy to say I will be wearing it to the wedding. It is my first ever fascinator and I adore it. I also found it super comfy, I always thought fascinators would be uncomfortable because they do look like a bit of work to have on your head all day, but I found this so light and easy to wear.

The black bolero jacket is another newbie. I got it some days ago for the wedding and I am crazy in love with it as well. I love the sleeves, silk material and the fact that it is so dressy.

OOTD: Chi Chi London Dress

Hey peoples, how are we? It is a bank holiday here in the UK, and I am making the most of the break. I have a spa booked for later in the day, and I really cannot wait.

On this outfit of the day (ootd) post, I fell in love with this Chi Chi Divya Dress by Chi Chi London as soon as I laid eyes on it. I love how chic and elegant it looks. This piece definitely stands out in my wardrobe. I really like the blue embroidered mesh detailingand the padded bust. This dress is so flattering; it was true love at first sight!

I like dresses like this because they are so easy to style, and they look glam instantly. I went for an all black look, with a touch of pink and gold for some colour, and I am glad i did. Excuse the picture heavy post, I just couldn’t get enough…..

This pink bag is also a new addition in my wardrobe and I am loving it. I love how compact it is, and the colour is fab for season. I am a bag girl, so I like to add to my bag collection every now and again. I was lucky to grab this bag on sale at House of Fraser (you know I never buy anything full-price, wink wink).
