Product Review: Rimmel London Makeup

These Rimmel London Makeup beauties landed on my doorstep just before I went away for Christmas, and I had the pleasure of taking them away with me on holiday. I have fallen completely in love with all 5 of them.

Volume Colourist Mascara

This Volume Colourist Mascara by Rimmel reveals darker lashes with and without mascara! It darkens bare lashes in two weeks.

Here is the product description:

Rimmel London Volume Colourist Mascara is Rimmel’s first-ever mascara that, gradually over time, makes bare lashes darker and in an instant, the volumising formula loads lashes with jet-black impact.

Its semi-permanent lash-tint complex progressively blackens bare lashes every time you wear it so that, from 2 weeks onwards of regular usage, your naked lashes look darker from root to tip! Rimmel’s innovative multi-tasking formula is a unique combination of creamy, ultra-black lash volumising formula and Lash-Tint Complex with natural colorant which gives 24/7 impact.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. I love the shiny packaging.
  2. It darkens my lashes and gives them my volume.
  3. It is super affordable at £7.99.
  4. It is easy to wipe off with warm water or any regular makeup remover.
  5. No clumps.

None. I love this Volume Colourist Mascara by Rimmel.

MAGNIF’EYES Eye Contouring Palette Keep Calm & Wear Gold

Now this is one eye contouring palette I really like. I have played around with the various shades for weeks now and I love the many looks I have created.

Here is the product description:

8-pan palette with duo applicator and integrated mirror for smart on-the-go travel format.

The high-shimmer, ultra-smooth, blendable formula delivers endless eye looks from bare nude to ultra sultry eyes – depending on the occasion and the individual eye shape.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. The shades are long-lasting, they stay on and in place all day.
  2. I love the sleek packaging.
  3. The 8 shades can create many different looks.
  4. It is very affordable at £7.99.

None. I can’t fault this palette.

Scandaleyes Bold Liquid Liner

This new liquid eye liner by Rimmel is the truth. Here is the product description:

Scandaleyes Bold Liquid Eyeliner, only for the bold!

Intense colour with a glossy finish for an enhanced and impactful eye look.

Lightweight formula that delivers rich pigments for maximum intensity.

Ball tip applicator for a bold look.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. I love the ball tip applicator.
  2. It is super easy to apply.
  3. It creates a dramatic look which I love.
  4. It is super affordable at £5.29

None. It is a great eye liner.

I have not used lip colours in ages, so these were a breath of fresh air. The shades are 410 Not Guilty and 420 Berry Seductive.

Here is the product description:

Provocalips delivers hi-impact 16HR endless colour with a delectably glossy finish. It’s kiss-proof, food-proof and transfer-proof, only coming off when you want it to.

An exclusive 2 step product so incredibly lightweight and flexible and adapts to the movement of your lips. 1 intense colour 2 lock and shine.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. I like the bright shades, great for the season.
  2. I like the pretty packaging.
  3. It stays on ALL DAY.
  4. They currently cost £6.99 each and they are many other shades to choose from.

Overall, I recommend all these products. I think they are worth every penny and definitely worth trying out. You can grab them at your local Boots, Superdrug, Asda, Tesco, Asos and Feel Unique.

Rimmel London Lip Library

I tried Rimmel London’s New Only 1 Matte Lipsticks; all 9 of them, so you don’t have to. Thanks to the lovely people at Rimmel London, these lipsticks landed at my doorstep last week. If you follow me on social media, you will know how busy these beauties have kept me.

I usually shy away from many lipstick shades. I like to stick to the tried and tested shades; shades that look good on me. So to receive these amount of lipsticks in various shades, some I may not have ever considered trying, is great because it means I can experiment for the both of us, and you can go off to get the shades you really like (wink wink).

Before I get into the shades and swatches, let me tell you more about the formula behind the Only 1 Matte Lipsticks – It is a long-lasting, non-drying colour, moisture and wear. It is dead easy to apply and very comfortable to wear. It won’t dry out your lips like other famous matte lipsticks, it actually keeps the lipsticks moisturised, which is a first I have seen with a matte lipstick.

There are 20 colours available, I was sent 9 –

500 Take the Stage

800 Run the Show

700 Trendsetter

200 Salute

810 The Matte Factor

610 High Flyer

750 Look Who’s Talking

120 Call The Shots

110 Leader Of The Pink

I didn’t have the time to line my lips like I would usually do. These pictures are just to show off the lipstick shades.

120 Call The Shots

I really like this shade on me. It is my kind of colour. I love the shade of darkvpink and I will definitely be using this lipstick regularly. It kind of reminds me of a similar shade of lipstick I have in my makeup bag already. Call The Shots definitely does call the shots, it is a keeper.

750 Look Who’s Talking

The Look Who’s Talking is a dark brown shade I kind of like. It surprisingly looked good on me. I wasn’t expecting it to look good. I would likely wear this under a brighter shade of lipstick though, but I do like the overall look.

500 Take the Stage

Now this shade right here is my favourite shade of all. I love the shade of pinkish red. It suits my skin tone perfectly. It definitely takes the stage! Take the Stage is my favourite shade!

The swatch photo didn’t come out right and I only just realised while typing this post, in the dead of the night, so apologies for that.

610 High Flyer

I love the texture of this lipstick, like I love all the others but that is where my love for it ends. I don’t like this nude shade on me at all. It made me look washed out.

800 Run The Show

Now this purple shade took me outside my safe spot as far as lipsticks are concerned. This is one shade I won’t have dreamt of trying or buying but I kind of like it. It is a lipstick I would wear when I want a completely different look.

700 Trendsetter

This Trendsetter shade is a very nude shade and way too pale for me. It didn’t look good on me at all. This shade is my least favourite of them all. I am sure it would suit others, but it is not my shade.

110 Leader Of The Pink

Leader of the Pink lipstick shade is a Barbie kind of pink. I prefer my pink lipsticks darker, so this shade is not the right for me either. But I bet it would look amazing good on many.

200 Salute

This Salute lipstick surprised me. I didn’t think I was going to like it at all but I did. I think I have found the perfect nude lipstick. And I really like it!

810 The Matte Factor

I really like this shade. It is another favourite of mine. I love the deep red shade. It is perfect for the current season. I can see myself wearing a lot of this shade this autumn/winter.

These shades are great. I am certain there is a shade or 2 for every girl in this collection. My 2 favourite lipstick shades are 810 The Matte Factor and 500 Take The Stage.

What are your thoughts? Have you tried any of these Only 1 Matte Lipsticks?
