Product Review – DE’LANCI Makeup Brush Kit

I have been playing around with this DE’LANCI makeup brush kit for some days now. I won the kit in an Instagram giveaway by the brand a few weeks ago. I was very pleased about this win, I have been eyeing the makeup brush kit for sometime.

I have many makeup brushes in my makeup bag for all kinds of makeup purposes, but I had no brush like these. I have seen these oval brushes around a lot, and I have always wanted to try them. So this DE’LANCI Makeup Brush Kit came in good time.

This kit contains

Oval 1 – This brush is for cheek, blush, contour, foundation, bronzer and settling powder.

Oval 2 – This brush can be used for all of the above as well as for eye shadows and concealers.

Oval 3 – This brush can be used for all of the above.

Oval 4 – This brush can be used for lip contour, eye shadow and concealer.

Linear 5 – This is used for eye shadow colour, brow colour, eye liner and concealer.\

Linear 6 – This does almost the same job as the Linear 5 but can be used with a concealer.

Circle 7 – This can be used for lip colours, eye shadow colours and concealers.

Circle 8 – This does the same as Circle 7 but can be used with concealers as well.

Here are my thoughts on this brush kit –

PROS

  1. I love the packaging of this kit.
  2. A nice variety of makeup brushes in this kit.
  3. All the brushes have multiple uses.
  4. The brushes are soft and very gentle on the skin.
  5. This kit is quite affordable at £23.33.
  6. DE’LANCI is a Cruelty free brand.
  7. You can shop the brand on Amazon and eBay.

CONS

None.

I can’t fault this brush kit. It fulfils every promise on the pack.

I had the pleasure of receiving this pack of 6 Leonhardy VP makeup brushes by Total Partners, and for my first impression, I was well impressed to see the brushes were designed with Swarovski crystals. I have never seen anything like it.

These makeup brushes are so fancy. They look posh with all the crystals blinging out of control. I couldn’t wait to test the brushes.

This set of brushes includes a powder blush, an eyebrow brush, a lip brush, a blending brush, a shader brush and a fluffy eye brush.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. These makeup brushes are so beautiful. The Swarovski crystal design is like no other in my makeup bag.
  2. They are quite light weight. I thought they would be quite heavy, but they are not.
  3. I found these brushes lovely to use. The hairs did not fall out, it felt soft, and they picked up the products perfectly. They performed as good as my MAC makeup brushes.
  4. It is possible to custom design your brushes which is fab. You can decide on the hairs you want on the makeup brushes while ordering, so natural, synthetic or mixed hair. More information on the custom made brushes below.
  5. The prices range from 15 euros to 69 euros, so there should be a brush for every budget.

The only fact you need to know is the makeup brushes are currently only available at Swarovski Stores in Innsbruck, Vienna and Crystal World Museum in Wattens. However, the brushes will be launching on the online store soon, where you can select from 9 different Brush Styles with the same design. You will be able to choose from 8 different Crystal Colours, and also select hair type, so keep your eyes peeled.

Product Review: Estée Lauder Makeup Brush Cleaner

I recently came across this Estée Lauder Makeup Brush Cleaner some weeks and I was eager to try it on my makeup brushes. I aim to clean my makeup brushes once a month, or every 6 weeks. I hardly wear makeup during the week, so I don’t see why I should clean my makeup brushes every week as recommended by the professionals.

I have used MAC Brush Cleanser religiously for years, so when my last bottle ran out, I was happy to try another brand, and Estée Lauder came to mind. One of my beauty resolutions for the year is to try out as many beauty brands as possible, so I am happy I am going ahead with it. I got this bottle from Debenhams, and I am loving it so far.

This professional makeup brush cleaner promises to gently and thoroughly clean, sanitise and condition makeup brushes, both natural and synthetic.

How the brush cleaner works –

Dampen it, then apply Estée Lauder Makeup Brush Cleanser to brush hair. Use your fingers to work into a lather.
Rinse well, then blot excess water with a paper towel and reshape the brush.
Lay brush flat to dry. Place at edge of table or counter with bristles pointing out to air-dry completely. Avoid drying upright, which can cause bristles to spread and handles to crack.

 

Well I put makeup brush cleaner to test, and here are my thoughts:

 

PROS

  1. It is super affordable. A 235ml bottle goes for £12.
  2. I love the packaging. It comes with a spray head, which makes application easy, and avoids unnecessary spillage.
  3. It cleans the brushes throughly. My makeup brushes, especially the foundation and concealer brushes, were in desperate need of a good clean, and this Estée Lauder makeup brush cleaner fulfilled all its brushes. My brushes looked brand new after a good few sprays of this Estée makeup brush cleaner.

None

I can’t fault this product at all. I will defintely be buying it again, and I recommende it to all the makeup lovers out there. This Estée Makeip Brush Cleaner will leave your bushes looking and feeling brand new. It does it says it would do on the pack.
