Fashion and Style Police Reviews Fat & the Moon Mermaid Mask

I have recently started using this Fat & the Moon Mermaid Mask and I have quite a lot to say about the skincare product. This face and hair mask is one of the products I have been trying this month. I am always interested in any skincare product that promises to improve my skin so this Fat & the Moon Mermaid Mask had my attention as soon as it landed on my doorstep. This Mermaid mask was inspired from a raw dessert that went wrong. The mask promises to tone and moisturise at the same time.

CONS
  1. It can be a bit messy when mixing and applying so ensure you do this in your bathroom/shower room.
  2. I am not a fan of the smell.

Overall, I like the Fat & the Moon Mermaid Mask as a face mask. I can see myself using it again and again. I am yet to try it on my hair because I currently have cornrows on but I will be trying it once I take them out. It is definitely a product worth trying if you are in need of a different type of face mask. It does all it promises to do and more.

Fashion and Beauty Products

I eat and drink fashion and beauty, which is why you read a lot of these topics on Fashion and Style Police. I wonder how the world would have been without fashion and beauty. It would have been dead boring. That I am sure of. I bet I won’t have been able to cope.

These fashion and beauty products were delivered in the last few days, and I have been busy with them.

I got this stunning Calvin Klein Earrings from Browns Family Jewellers and had to Instagram it immediately. I love the shade of gold. It goes so well with my studs. And I am a huge fan of anything Calvin Klein. I think it is a great fashion accessory brand. Calvin Klein accessories always scream quality. I love them all!

What do you think of the earrings? I am so in love and will be featuring them in an outfit post soon.

Olverum Bath Oil

Beauty Product Image

I have used Olverum Bath Oil and I think it is a fantastic bath oil. The fact that all the oil is absorbed into my skin, leaving no greasy residue in my bath tub is amazing.

Before I met Olverum, I always found using bath oil products a chore, because I had to scrub the bath right after, so no one trips. So it is great to not have that problem with Olverum Bath Oil. I can see myself taking this travel set away with me on many trips. Half a capful of this product leaves me feeling so relaxed.

5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment

I had my last session of my laser hair removal treatment last year. There were 6 sessions in total including the patch treatment. Many people have asked me about my laser hair removal experience, and some questions have been asked a few times by different people. So I thought writing a post on 5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment would be useful.

5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment image

The laser hair removal treatment I had was on my chin. I found my chin hairs very annoying. The best option for me was to have the laser treatment, since waxing and threading were not the keeping my chin hair-free long enough. I would 100% recommend this treatment to anyone in need of it. I found it very effective. But before you go ahead, here are some things you need to know you start the treatment.

5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment

Avoid the sun before your treatment

It is best to stay out of the sun before your treatment. You won’t be able to have the treatment done if the area has a sun burn. It is best to have the treatment done in the autumn/winter months if possible.

You should also avoid tanning beds, spray tans, tanning lotion and makeup on the area to be treated. I had to always wipe my chin area completely before the treatment to ensure there was no makeup on it.

You will need a couple of sessions

You will need a couple of sessions to achieve good results. I had 6 sessions and I know someone who had 12 sessions. The number of sessions you have depends on the area to be treated, the type of hair to be removed and many other factors.

Consistency is the way to achieve good results. So ensure you have as many treatments as needed, and at the right time too.  I went for my treatments every 4/6 weeks.

The pain is bearable

I found the pain bearable, but maybe I just have a good pain threshold. Many people I know complain about how uncomfortable it is and I agree. It is uncomfortable but not as painful as I imagined.

It is suitable on all skin types

The laser hair removal treatment I had is suitable for all skin types. You can find out more about it being suitable for your skin type from this short YouTube video.

Do not wax or thread after treatment

You can shave, but make sure you don’t wax or thread after each treatment. Whilst having the treatment, pulling out your hair follicles through waxing and threading hinders the process.

Have you ever thought of having laser hair removal treatment? If yes, what is stopping you?
