What to Wear on a First Date

I am happy to be off the dating market. I have been off for almost 10 years now and it’s been brilliant. The truth is, I was not a huge fan of the whole dating “thingy”, I have never been a fan of anything new, and the dating world is all about “The New”, it felt so exhausting most of the time.

I am sure many women and men would agree with me on how draining the whole dating stuff is, but date we must! After all, love is a BEAUTIFUL thing.

Thanks to technology, dating is a lot easier now in 2017 than it was 10 years ago. The majority of the dating websites we have now were not available in my dating years. The most we had back then was social media – Facebook/Hi5, and those were still in the developing phases. Who remembers Hi5 by the way? Does anyone still go on it?

I am happy to see how much the online dating industry has evolved. It is super easy to meet someone you are compatible with online now thanks to the many dating websites available. But having a date is one thing, and what to wear on a date is another. Many women usually struggle with what to wear on a first date. They usually don’t want to show too much skin and send the wrong messages or come across as too keen, but they want to look attractive at the same time. The good news is that there are now many great products like pheromones for women available to help you attract the kind of attention you want and get your groove back.

I have featured a couple of outfits I think would be great outfit ideas for a first date. Here are three ideas  –

A Sparkly Look

This is a great outfit idea for a dinner sort of first date. It is a stylish/dressy look and just shows the right amount of skin for a summer evening. Do you agree?

A  Relaxed Look

For a relaxed first date at the cinema or lunch in a restaurant, this outfit would befit the part. It is stylish but not over the top. I think it would be an excellent choice for a first date in a relaxed location.

A Casual Look

This outfit would be a fantastic choice for a casual/daytime date. It would suit a lunch date or any chilled location.

Can you remember what you had on for any of your first dates? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below. I love reading them.

Thanks for reading as always. Have a lovely day.

SHOWROOMIST – An Online PR Showroom

If you run a fashion blog or a lifestyle blog where you write about fashion, then you will be very interested in SHOWROOMIST – An Online PR Showroom, that empowers style influencers to create great content. SHOWROOMIST empowers fashion influencers to connect easily with brands and create fabulous content, with the help of stunning images, product information, samples and press releases. It is like a marketplace for everything fashion editorial.

The SHOWROOMIST’s vision is to disrupt traditional marketing and PR by linking brands directly with style influencers in a digital advertorial marketplace. The brand’s focus is to empower style influencers to create fantastic content showcasing stunning products.

As a fashion blogger, I struggle sometimes to get the right images for my fashion posts. Some websites make it so hard to save or download images. I sometimes find myself spending hours searching for the right images I need for a blog post, and when I do find them, it may not save correctly or come in a different format that WordPress does not like, which brings me back to stage zero. So SHOWROOMIST is like GOLD for Fashion and Style Police! It solves all these problems. I don’t have to go from website to website in search of images, press releases or product information, when I can get them all on SHOWROOMIST.

This website would make my fashion writing a lot easier and quicker. Spending hours trying to find and save the high quality fashion images would be a thing of the past. It is also very easy to navigate with the filters. You can filter your search for the right images and information into seasons, events, price range, brands, designers, and more. Select Fashion, Socks Plus Plus, Bora Aksu, Crysellas, are some of the brands on SHOWROOMIST.

I think SHOWROOMIST is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry. It would make life so easy for style influencers. Discovering brands, downloading images and requesting samples has never been so easy. It is clearly bridging the gap between brands and style influencers, which I think is very smart. I can see myself using this website regularly.

Alexa Chung Covers British Vogue June 2017

The stunning model-turned-TV-host-turned-designer – Alexa Chung, covers British Vogue June 2017, and she looks great on it.

British Vogue June 2017 Image

Alexa Chung is no stranger to magazine covers. She has appeared on many magazine covers already. But this British Vogue’s cover stands out from the rest. I like this bright and bold cover. It was photographed by the legendary Mario Testino and styled by Lucinda Chambers, and Chung looks all shades of amazing on it.

I have read a few negative comments about this particular Vogue cover, and I am not sure what they mean. I love the background and the red fonts on the cover, her makeup  also tick all the right boxes, so it is a good cover for me. I am not sure about outfit she has on though, or the pose, but it is still a good cover. I think Vogue did a great job with this.

I hear Alexa Chung has a new fashion label – Alexachung, and I can’t wait to see how the pieces look like. I am sure they would be super stylish, as she has an amazing fashion sense.

Speaking with Vogue’s Fashion Features Editor, Ellie Pithers; Alexa Chung spoke about why she decided to launch her fashion label and more –

“This is a moment in my life where I felt I could dedicate all my attention in one direction. Age has something to do with it… I’m young enough and excited enough to start something new, but old enough to have learnt a bit. And confident enough to think I could pull it off.”

I am happy for her. Looks like she has found herself. And I am happy she wants to open a shop. I would love to see that dream come true.

What are your thoughts on this cover? Have you read this issue? Will you be reading it?
