Best Dressed at The 2017 MET GALA

I have not written a “best dressed red carpet” post in months. I used to feature them regularly years ago, but I lost interest in writing about them. But I came across some amazing looks from The MET GALA 2017 red carpet, and I was blown away by the beautiful looks. The celebrities went all out with the dresses this year. Thumbs up to their stylists!

Here are my best looks from The MET GALA 2017 –

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian looked very simple and chic in a stunning white Vivienne Westwood dress. I am quite surprised she showed up looking this elegant and simple. I guess she is still recovering from the media backlash from her butt issue. The off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood Couture gown is a great choice for Kim Kardashian in this time, she slayed it!

Lupita Nyong’o

The lovely Lupita Nyong’o went bright and bold in a coral organza chiffon Prada gown with hand-cut organza flowers at its strapless neckline. She nailed it in this dress. Coral is definitely her colour. Her makeup is also on point too.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner looked amazing in this stunning La Perla Haute Couture dress. I love everything about this look. Her dress, makeup and hair are spot on! She was definitely one of the best dressed women at The MET GALA 2017.

Kate Hudson

I adore this look. Kate Hudson looked amazing in this white asymmetric shoulder Stella McCartney gown with matching platinum tresses. I really like this look. I think she looked beautiful on the red carpet.

Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes played in this off-the-shoulder look from Zac Posen. I love her hair and makeup too. She looked so beautiful.

Gisele Bundchen

Gisele Bundchen killed it in this long-sleeve silver Stella McCartney gown. This outfit ticked all the style boxes for me.

What do you think of these looks? Which is your fav?

So you want a bigger butt?

It looks like the whole world and their dad is suddenly talking about Kim Kardashian’s huge butt, and I can’t understand why. Her butt has been massive since she first appeared on our TV screens, so why is everyone going on and on about it?

Well, it looks like it all started from Khloe Kardashian’s comment about her sister (Kim) being her gym inspiration and having the best body ever! That comment kind of broke the internet, but Khloe’s comment was in the defense of Kim’s silly Tweet. In the now-deleted tweet, Kim wrote: ‘The flu can be an amazing diet. So happy it came in time for the Met lol #6lbsdown.’, and the internet came for her so bad.

I still don’t get what the whole noise is all about. I have watched Keeping up with the Kardashains for years (I have only just lost interest in the show because I think they have lost their mojo or I have grown up), and I know how obsessed the sisters are with their bodies. To be honest, I don’t really blame them. When you are in the limelight the way they are, you can’t be anything but perfect or the trolls would come for you so bad. Even when you are “perfect”, they still come, so I know how hard they must be working at keeping up their looks.

I also think Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are so obsessed with Kim’s features, and are out to make sure they get every one of them, especially Kylie. Kylie is beginning to look more and more like Kim by the day, and Khloe’s butt is almost as big as Kim’s now. Her butt kind of grew overnight after her public breakup with Lamar Odom, and it now looks twice as big as it was before. I wonder what she is using. She swears it is all exercise, but we know better. Just like Kylie swearing her sudden swollen lips were all lip gloss, but we know now for a fact that it is not.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery in my eyes, just own it. I am tired of women having surgery done then denying it or playing it down. It makes no sense. There is no way your ass or boobs would have grown overnight, without some form of help, so why lie/pretend?

Having said that, there are various ways to enhance our features these days, many do not even need to go under the knife if they don’t want to. There are Botox injections, pills and creams that can be used to enhance various areas of our body. One of them is the Glutimax Butt Enhancement Cream.

Now if I wanted to get a bigger butt, I would go for this Glutimax Butt Enhancement Cream, because I rather not go under the knife. I am more comfortable with a cream than a pill or surgery.

I bet these is what many of these celebrities are using too, because there is no downtime, you can use it from the comfort of your home as often as advised, without having to take time off to recover, so it can be very discreet. I think this Glutimax Butt Enhancement Cream, is a smart invention.

What do you think of all the talk about Kim Kardashian’s “natural” butt? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely day.

How to Style your Wide Hips

Floral Summer Outfit Image

A lot of women look at fashion magazines and their heart sinks, when they see models with the “perfect” bodies. As they flip through the pages, they start to wonder why they were not blessed with such amazing figures? The truth is that there’s no such thing as the “perfect” body. Every figure is perfect as long as you know how to style it. Dressing for your body type is the key.

Many of these celebrities we look up to and admire have wide hips, like Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé, and they are rocking them like divas. When wide hips balance out your whole body, it gives you a sexy figure. But when your hips are far wider than the other parts of the body, you need a couple of styling hacks to get you through. And if you are wondering how to get bigger hips, there will be a post on that shortly.

Having wide hips does not mean that your figure is not attractive. The trick is to aim for a balance. The key to styling wide hips is to direct focus away from the hips and to other parts of your body, so your bust, waist and legs.

Here are some styling tips for you:

Say NO to Bright Colours

Make sure you avoid bright colours, patterns or any type of accessories anywhere in the hip region. They attract attention to your hips.
If you have wide-hips, and you have trouble finding the right clothes to style your figure, then I’ve got you covered.

Cover Up

Tunics and shirts, that reach the middle of your hips or below your bum region, help create a balance with your figure. Make sure that the hemlines of your tunic or shirt is loose so that it flares out. This helps create more room for your hips. If you like, you can wear a waist belt over your shirt to keep the focus on your waist and way from your hips.

No Lyca

Although tunics and shirts help in balancing your figure, you need to be extra careful with the type of fabric you choose. Avoid fabrics that hug your body like fitted polyester or lycra. They make your hips look bigger. The same goes for woolly clothing.

Wrap Dresses Are Needed

Tops with empire-cut waistlines or wrap dresses help cover your hips by accentuating your waist and flaring out to your hips thereby keeping your hips away from view.

Layer with a Long Jacket

There may be times when you would like to wear a shirt or top that does not cover your hips. In such a situation, go for a long jacket that reaches your bum area or flows up to your knees. The long jacket will hide your hips and create that needed balance.

Go for Trousers with a Higher Waist

When styling your figure, you need to take attention away from your hips. Trousers with a high waist give you that most needed balance as it diverts attention from your hips and makes your legs appear longer.

Wear A-line Clothing and Straight Skirts

A-line clothing and straight skirts cover the hips and give you a lovely figure. A-line clothing starts at your waistline and flare out all the way to your knees. This way it covers the hips and accentuates the waist. If you want to go for an A-line dress, try the ones with a plunging neckline. This will help create additional focus on your torso.

Straight skirts help to maintain a line such that the hips are in proportion with the rest of your body.

Style with Shoulder Pads

I can see you rolling your eyes at this tip BUT it is a very clever way of creating a balance in your figure. Shoulder pads make the shoulders appear wider. Coupled with your wide hips, it makes your frame look square which helps to prevent your hips from attracting any extra attention.
