Product Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil

Product Review Urban Decay Concealer Pencil Image

I went in search of a concealer pencil some weeks ago, and I came across this Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil. The whole idea of having a concealer pencil is to enable me apply my concealer quickly and on the go if needed. I got this beauty at Debenhams, and I have used it quite a lot now.

Here is what Urban Decay has to say about this product:

Hide dark circles and blemishes with our creamy formula that dries matte and stays put. Because it’s a pencil, it’s easy to apply with precision. A concealer in pencil form equals precise application, and less mess-no brush, no dipping your finger into a pot, or squeezing a dollop onto a sponge. Dot on tiny blemishes, or shade in large problem areas (like redness around the nose and chin). The creamy formula blends easily, then dries down to a smudge-free matte finish.

Here are my thoughts on this concealer:

PROS

  1. I love the shade. I got mine in shade ATF, and it suits my skin perfectly.
  2. It is so easy to apply, with a lot less mess than when I do use a liquid concealer.
  3. It is super affordable and accessible at £14 at Debenhams, House of Fraser, Boots, and many other stores.
  4. It blends in quickly and leaves a matte finish which I love.
  5. It is long-lasting. It stays on all day.
  6. It is perfect for highlighting, and great for under eyes.
  7. I love the light and creamy texture.
  8. It has good full coverage. It covers all blemishes, spots and other skin imperfections.
  9. It is a vegan, cruelty free product.
  10. I love the packaging. I think it is so pretty.

CONS

  1. Be careful not to apply too much pressure when using the pencil so the tip does not break.

Overall, I really like the Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil, and I will definitely be buying it again.

Product Review: Clinique Nude Pop Lipstick & Primer

This is Clinique Creamy Nude Lipstick is my very first Clinique Lipstick and also my very first nude lipstick. I got this lipstick sample from a Tanya Blur Glamour Magazine November 2015, and I must say I am very happy I got to try a nude lipstick for free and tell you all about it.

Clinique Nude Lipstick Image

I love seeing nude lipsticks on ladies. I think it is a pretty lip colour but I never had the balls to try it. I always thought it would look weird on me because of my skin tone and I was so right. Before I dive into the review, here is what Clinique has to say about their ‘Pop Lip’ Lipstick range.

Luxurious yet weightless formula merges bold, saturated colour with a smoothing primer. Glides on effortlessly to a modern-velvet finish. Colour stays true, keeps lips comfortably moisturized for 8 hours. Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free.

Here are my thoughts on this lipstick:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging a lot. I looks so pretty.
  2. I like the fact that it is a lipstick and a primer in 1.
  3. It moisturises my dry lips perfectly.
  4. I like the smooth texture.
  5. It is readily available in Debenhams, House of Fraser, Boots stores and many other stores for about £16.

CONS

  1. I don’t like the colour on me at all. It is a pinky nude and it doesn’t suit me.
  2. It is not long-lasting. Wears off pretty quickly.

Overall, I am not impressed with this lipstick at all. The shade is not for me. It gives me the ‘washed out’ look. I am also not happy with the staying power of the lipstick. It does not stay on long at all. I am happy I got to try this for free before buying as I have always wanted to try a nude lippie. There are many more colours in the Clinique Pop Lip Lipstick range, and a few of them do look nice. The Berry Pop, Passion Pop and the Cherry Pop look right up my street. Debenhams stocks the whole range, so may give them a go some day.

What do you think of this Clinique Nude Pop Lipstick & Primer? Have you tried any lipstick from Clinique’s Pop Lip range?
