Series I am watching on Netflix

Watching Netflix is one way I relax. I don’t have as much time as I would love to binge watch my favourite series, but I watch a few hours every week and I look forward to it. It is my own way of unwinding. I am super homely, hardly go anywhere and I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything. I guess that’s why Netflix really works for me. Plus there are so many new movies and series to watch on there. It is sometimes impossible to decide on what to watch, which is why I now have a list on there. That way I go straight to my list to watch what I have added previously. If not I am be undecided all night.

Here are some of the series I am currently watching on Netflix –

 

YOU

I found the first season of YOU so entertaining and I am now loving the second season. Initially, I struggled to get into it but Ince I did, it is episode after episode. It is definitely worth watching. The lead actor is such a psycho. Do you watch it?

 

Power

I love POWER so much. It is super entertaining with the twists and turns. I have seen all the new episodes in the new season and waiting on the last set to come through. I can’t wait to see who really killed Ghost. Who do you think it is?

 

The Stranger

I only just started watching this and I am so into it already. It is a fun storyline with a lot of suspense. I think the acting is amazing and I can’t wait to get to the root of the matter. This is another must-watch on Netflix.

 

Don’t F***k with Cats

This criminal documentary was quite disturbing to watch but I couldn’t stop watching. It was full of suspense and I found it very informative because it was my first time hearing about the case.  If you love crime, you would love this.

 

The Witcher

This was a good watch. I have seen a couple of episodes and I like the storyline. Highly recommended for those into the supernatural and fantasy. You won’t want to miss this.

Being a fashion designer is and always will be a dream for many. I remember wanting to be a fashion designer when I was a young girl. I dreamt about designing various fashion collections but I never got into it. The idea was fun but I didn’t have the right skills or passion needed to follow it through. So the fashion designer dream died a natural death. I know many fashion designers personally and I know how difficult it can be to stand out in the saturated industry. It is almost like blogging, you have to bring your creativity to the table, it has to be different from anything else out there, or the competition will bury your fashion designing dream quickly.

If you have your mind set on being a fashion designer, here are some tips I got from a few successful fashion designers, they may work for you –

 

Develop your creative skills

If you don’t have any, fashion designing may not be the right job for you. For you to become a successful fashion designer, you need to have a good eye for colour, shape and design. Some are naturally good at these things, while others may have to work a little harder to develop their skills. Going for a fashion course or apprenticeship may help you acquire the skills needed to excel in fashion designing.

 

Build your portfolio

The best way to learn is to keep practising. Building a portfolio while you work on developing your fashion designing skills is a great idea. As we all know, practice makes perfect, and developing your portfolio is one way of practising. It also allows you show prospective employers or clients what you are capable of creating.

 

Choose a niche

The best way to stand out in the saturated world of fashion designing is to choose a niche, especially in the early days. This allows you make a name for yourself in a niche. It is faster to grow when you choose a niche. You could play around with a few niches until you find your sweet spot! Some fashion designers choose to focus on womenswear only, others pick swimwear or menswear, the choice is yours.

 

Make the most of social media

Social media is one way to promote your creative designs so make the most of them. Instagram is a great platform to start on as it is very visual. You could set up a YouTube channel as well to promote your work even more. The sky is only the beginning.

Mental Health – Letting go is good for the soul

I am a recovering worrier! Back in the day, I would worry over everything. These days, I am trying my best to stop worrying, to let go and let God. Letting go is good for the soul. It is a lot easier to worry about every tiny little detail but it does nothing for your mental health. Which is why I now make a conscious effort not to worry about anything. Sometimes, it is easier to let go and not worry, and other times it can be a lot harder. But the more I make an effort to not worry about all the issues on this planet, the easier it becomes.

Letting go is good for the soul

Since I started focusing more on my spiritual life and mindfulness. I have realised that a lot of the things we are so worried about will not happen. However, the danger of worrying about issues bring our focus and attention to these issues, which can lead to us manifesting exactly what we are afraid of. Letting go does not mean we should be reckless or ignore what we are supposed to do. It just means we focus our attention on what we have power over and take our attention away from outcomes and the rest.

 

The benefits of letting go

Here are some of the amazing benefits of letting go –

 

You will sleep better

Letting go will help you sleep better at night. Being a worrier means you will likely be up for most of the night worrying about all sorts. Letting go helps you sleep peacefully and soundly, which is great for your overall health.

 

Goodbye to anxiety and depression

This is one of the most important benefits of letting go is that you can wave goodbye to anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. Dwellling on your problems will only make you feel anxious and depressed. However, if you focus on positivity and things within your power, you will find you no longer feel as anxious or depressed. Focusing on what you have power over and positive outcomes means you feel good which is amazing for your wellbeing.

It leads to positive outcomes

Apart from the fact that letting go helps you sleep better and can get rid of some mental health problems, it can also lead to positive outcomes. The law of attraction means you manifest what you focus on. So if you are a worrier and you focus on all your cares and worries, it is likely you bring them into your reality just by focusing on them. Letting it all go and focusing on positive results and positivity in general means you attract just those into your reality.

 

I know how easy it is to worry. Just look at the Brexit mess for example. That is enough to keep many people up at night for various reasons. But being up all night won’t make the deal come quicker for example but it will mess up your body clock which will only make up more miserable. That’s the way I see it.
