OOTD: Birthday in Milan

As you should all know by now, I turned 30 last week Saturday, and I spent the weekend in Milan. It was an amazing trip. I had fun exploring the beautiful city. There was a lot to see, especially the shops. We popped into all the lovely luxury stores – Gucci, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Mercedes-Benz, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and the likes. I wish I had an unlimited budget, I would have bought all the bags and shoes in the stores. I did get a few things, I just wish I got more.

I took these photos on my birthday. I got the pieces just before the trip, and I like how the outfit turned out. I love wearing jumper dresses in the winter because they are warm and cosy, and also very easy to style, all I need is a pair of tights to bring it to life.

Jumper desses are also very multi-tasking, they can be worn in the warmer months without tights. I have recently fallen in love with the style, and I have quite a few in my wardrobe now.

The shoes are new as well, a gift and I love the over the top bow on it. It stands out and many people seem to like the design. I love it!

We took the pictures below at Duomo di Milano. If you have been there before, you would know how busy the place is. We got a couple of pictures taken in the midst of the birds and chaos. I didn’t like the location much, the birds were a little too many for me, and there were people everywhere -a proper tourist spot.

That is my lovely big sister. She has appeared on the blog twice before as a Fashion Diva and she was with us over in Milan. We were up to no good half the time, lol.

Speaking of Fashion Divas, I need to bring that series back to life. What say you? So get in touch if you are a fashion blogger or lover, and want to feature your style on Fashion and Style Police.

The birds were everywhere  I was worried I would step on them.

Or they would step on me. Or perch on me. I was trying to get some cover from my Sis here, lol.

It was a fun trip, and I can’t wait to go back. I will just avoid the birds in Duomo next time.

November Outfits 2016

November has been a very busy month for me. It is an extremely busy time of the year, with the end of the year rush and all. So I kind of slacked on the outfits bit. And I can see myself slacking even more in December. I doubt I would even have an actual outfit post to publish in December but let’s wait and see.

Here is a quick recap of November’s outfits.

Autumn Winter Basics

simply-undies-loungewear-review

This is really not an outfit post but it turned out to be one, so here it goes.

This post was all about showing off these Simply Beach loungewear pieces. But then it became a casual outfit post in a way.  I love the Simpy Beach pieces. They are so comfy and cosy; great for the very chilly weather we are experiencing at the moment. It is currently freezing here, so the poncho is so handy.

OOTD: Something Blue

quiz-blue-dress

This outfit post is the only real outfit post for November, so I came all out wearing shades of my blue (my favourite colour). This outfit post has been viewed so many times already, so I guess my readers loved this outfit as much as I did. I had on a Quiz Clothing blue dress, a Ted Baker coat, Kurt Geiger shoes, George clutch and Swarovski sunnies.

I enjoyed styling this look. I found it very easy to style and I can see myself wearing this entire outfit again.

Fingers crossed, I am hoping to get back into the outfit swing of things by January, so wish me luck. I may have a few outfit posts published in December, but it is not looking likely,

Styling A White Shirt

If you have been reading Fashion and Style Police for a while then you would know all about my love for designer items. I like to mix high street  with high-end designer pieces and accessories to create my look, and it works for me. So you can imagine my excitement when the lovely people at McArthurGlen invited me to shop at their designer outlet in Cheshire last Saturday. If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t, why don’t you?), you would have seen my updates while shopping at the designer outlet. I had an amazing time as you can imagine. Shopping is what I like to do, I can even do it in my sleep…

This shopping event was centered around styling the iconic white shirt. McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks teamed up with iconic tailoring brand – Brooks Brothers to launch an exciting pop-up concept: The White Shirt Bar. I visited this exclusive custom designed airstream. With over 200sqft of space, the 31ft airstream has been refurbished to create a unique, one-off shopping experience. For those who do not know, Brook Brothers founded in 1818, is one of the most iconic American brands and the oldest clothier in the United States, having dressed 39 of the
44 United States Presidents and being the first to introduce the concept of button-down collar shirts and ready-made men’s suits to the American market.

Today Brooks Brothers has 280 stores across 23 countries and 5 continents and is heavily engaged in the world of film and TV, having created all of the men’s costumes for the 2013 production of The Great Gatsby starring one of my favourite actors – Leonardo DiCaprio, costumes for every season of the popular TV series – Mad Men as well as many other film and TV productions.

The White Shirt Bar would be available at Cheshire Oaks for the whole of October so it is definitely worth checking out.

I was gifted a white shirt by Brooks Brothers, a goody bag with all sorts of goodies and yummies including some amazing white shirt cookies by Corporate Cakery, and a generous gift card to get pieces and accessories in the designer outlet to style the white shirt. I am a regular at the Cheshire Oaks designer outlet so I knew my way around, but I decided to hit the shops early as per my shopping smart tips. After going from shop to shop, I finally settled on the pieces you see below. I had a certain look in my head and I am glad I achieved it.

The white shirt has an amazing fit and screams quality from a distance. I also found it very easy to style. I got a few other pieces and accessories I will be showing off in upcoming outfit posts for your viewing pleasure, so keep your eyes peeled.
