I fell hopelessly in love with Ugg Boots in 2008. Yea I still remember the exact year, I am weird like that. I just started my Masters course at Bristol University, in the middle of winter, and I wanted something to keep me warm and look stylish at the same time. Ugg Boots are my guiltiest fashion pleasure, but I am not so guilty. I have four pairs now; blue, black, brown and grey, and I am not done yet. I find them so comfortable but yet stylish. The bridge between comfort and style, should be called UGG BOOTS, I am giving the brand free press here and I know it, but I don’t care, I love their boots sooooo much.
It breaks my heart to hear some women say they find Ugg Boots too casual, not chic enough to wear outside the house, and I am like, WHAT? Don’t get me wrong, I know you can’t pair them with an evening dress or a suit, or wear them to a formal event, like a wedding or a dinner date, but Ugg Boots have their ow place. They can be worn on shopping days, running errands, school runs, and the likes.
They are great with a pair of skinnies or leggings, on those days when you want to look casual-chic. Here are some ways for you to style the Ugg Boots and some ways you shouldn’t:
- Wear with no make-up and a messy hair for the chilled out look.
- Do not wear with tracksuits. You will look trashy.
- They look great with chunky knit, and skinnies.
- You can pair your Ugg Boots with a long tunic or tux shirt, and show off your bare legs, if it is not too cold.
Ugg Boots are the winter staple for the fashion conscious, stylish woman, and I see they being around for a very long time, but still, they divide the fashion savvy. Many believe they’re best worn in the comfort of their home, while others like me see them as fashion staple.

Always had an issue with Ugg boots re: London weather i.e. it rains all the time!!! Never had a pair of real ones, do they get soaked? what about water/mud stains? Also, I don’t know if it’s only fake ones that do that but after a while, the foot hold is not strong enough – how many women walk in their boots with their heels three centimeters away from their foot, effectively they are walking on tissue – difficult to explain sorry!

The original ones do not get soaked but get stains from snow and rain, which I wipe off and leave to dry. The fake ones are horrible, I had one awhile ag o I bought mistakenly frm China and it was horrid. Get an original pair.

I have never owned a pair of Ugg boots but I can see myself wearing them constantly, indoors and out if I bought a pair. Not sure they would cope with Devon lanes but they would be great around town.

I have a pair of tall black Uggs, and a pair of chestnut knitted ones. I find the knitted ones look dressier so I wear them more often. Both pairs are sooo comfy though. Love them.
