OOTD: A Spring Outfit

I can smell spring in the air, can you? The last couple of days have a bit warmer, the heating does not come on as often as it used to, the days are getting longer, and we have even had a few spring showers.

I like the Spring weather. The cool breeze isn’t too cold, so we can gradually start letting go of the many layers, but the endless rain disturbs me, especially when I am out and about. It is extremely hard to get anything done outside with the continuous rain on some days. Except for the rainbit, Spring is cool.

I took these photos some days ago before stepping out. What do you think of this Spring Outfit? I found it very chic and comfy; casual but yet stylish. Do you agree?

I got the blue t-shirt while holidaying in Milan last month. We bumped into a Mercedes-Benz fashion store, and we were blown away by the stylish fashion pieces and accessories. I never knew Mercedes-Benz was also a fashion retailer, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover this store. We got quite as a few things as a group, but I got this t-shirt and a few flat shoes, one of them, you can see me rocking here.

I am also rocking my new Tiffany & Co. Infinity Pendant Necklace. This delicate beauty was featured on my Instagram feed some days ago. I love the Tiffany Blue enamel finish design so much! This powerful symbol of continuous connection, energy and vitality is what I need. It is such a beauty, and I can see myself wearing it for many years to come.

OOTD: Back to the Roots

African Skater Skirt Image

Say hello to my first outfit post in the month of April, and it is an ode to my African roots. This skater African print skirt was a gift from my mum. I wore it for the first time some days ago, and I got quite a lot of good compliments from so many people. I guess it caught so many eyes because it is a very colourful, different skirt, just what you need to see on a dull, gloomy day.

Growing up, I wore quite a lot of pieces like this skirt. In fact, half of my wardrobe would consist of african printed skirts, trousers and dresses, and I loved it. You won’t see this skirt or anything like it on the high street, which makes it even more precious.

Every now and again, I will like to mix my African pieces with my regular pieces, and create a very different look, so keep reading Fashion and Style Police, a lot of fashion and style inspiration coming your way.

I found it incredibly easy to style this custom-made skirt. I love seeing lace paired with African prints, maybe because I have seen a lot of lace African outfits over the years. I think they complement each other perfectly so I went for the look, and I think it turned out great.

OOTD: How to Style the Ugg Boots

Outfit Post OOTD 1

I fell hopelessly in love with Ugg Boots in 2008. Yea I still remember the exact year, I am weird like that. I just started my Masters course at Bristol University, in the middle of winter, and I wanted something to keep me warm and look stylish at the same time. Ugg Boots are my guiltiest fashion pleasure, but I am not so guilty. I have four pairs now; blue, black, brown and grey, and I am not done yet. I find them so comfortable but yet stylish. The bridge between comfort and style, should be called UGG BOOTS, I am giving the brand free press here and I know it, but I don’t care, I love their boots sooooo much.

River Island Outfit Post

I love my uggs

It breaks my heart to hear some women say they find Ugg Boots too casual, not chic enough to wear outside the house, and I am like, WHAT? Don’t get me wrong, I know you can’t pair them with an evening dress or a suit, or wear them to a formal event, like a wedding or a dinner date, but Ugg Boots have their ow place. They can be worn on shopping days, running errands, school runs, and the likes.

They are great with a pair of skinnies or leggings, on those days when you want to look casual-chic. Here are some ways for you to style the Ugg Boots and some ways you shouldn’t:

  1. Wear with no make-up and a messy hair for the chilled out look.
  2. Do not wear with tracksuits. You will look trashy.
  3. They look great with chunky knit, and skinnies.
  4. You can pair your Ugg Boots with a long tunic or tux shirt, and show off your bare legs, if it is not too cold.

Ugg Boots are the winter staple for the fashion conscious, stylish woman, and I see they being around for a very long time, but still, they divide the fashion savvy. Many believe they’re best worn in the comfort of their home, while others like me see them as fashion staple.
