Outfit Post – Silver Autumn Fashion

Autumn is now in full swing and I have been busy getting some new pieces and accessories for the new season. I adore Autumn/Winter fashion. The dark colours and designs are right my street and I look forward to playing dress up once the season is here. I recently got some stylish pieces from Fashion World and I am seriously loving them. Have you shopped the Autumn Fashion collection in shops?

I really like the Black Frill Detail Sweater Dress. It suits my body shape and it keeps me very warm which is great. I found it very easy to style this piece and I know I will be wearing it a lot this autumn/winter season.  When it comes to Autumn Fashion (and Winter as well) I like to go for stylish pieces that would keep me warm. I don’t compromise comfort over style, so my autumn/winter wardrobe is filled up with warm clothing. How is your autumn/winter wardrobe looking?

The Flock Print Jersey Leggings is one of the new pieces I got from Fashion World. I love the plum colour and the design. This pair of leggings stands out in my wardrobe for all the right reasons. I have no other pair like it. It has a great stretch jersey fabric and it hugs my body like a glove. What do you think of this piece?

I am wearing a Rocket Silver Dog Clarita Disco Slip On Trainer. This footwear is the highlight of my outfit. I adore the big bow design and the silver shade. It is such a pretty pair and it is super comfy too! Usually the prettier shoes are, the more uncomfortable I find them. But that is not the case with this gorgeous pair. They are so comfortable, I could fall asleep wearing them if I wanted too! I have worn this pair a few times already and I will be wearing them as often as the weather allows me. It is definitely my autumn staple piece!

What do you think of this look? Are you a fan of Autumn Fashion? Please drop your comment in the comments box below.

Tips for Business Casual Wear

“Business Casual” can be a difficult dress code to interpret due to its ambiguity. Depending on what sector you work in and your office, it could mean a variety of formal and informal clothing.

Until the 1980’s, when business casual was more widely accepted, a formal suit and shirt was basically universally expected in an office setting. But today, “office wear” doesn’t really imply anything since we have people in the technology sector, for example, wearing jeans and a hoodie to work.

Every office will be different, but as a general rule of thumb it’s a good idea to wear neat, well-fitted clothing that is professional and modest.

What you wear to work plays a major your boss’s and colleagues’ perception of you, so be mindful of your choices. Here are my tips for smart and successful business casual wear.

Wear Appropriate Clothing

If you’re unsure of what to wear, the first thing to do is to have a look around your office for inspiration and to see exactly how much the dress code is “casual” and how much is “business.” Or, if there’s a dress code instated at all.

If you’re at a loss, ask a colleague that’s been there for a while. Whatever you do, make sure your outfits aren’t too informal, as it’s better to be a little overdressed than underdressed.

Take Care of Your Personal Hygiene

Looking your best is feeling your best. Each day, ensure you have styled hair, clean skin, brushed teeth and neat fingernails – this is the base of being put-together. Take care to make sure your clothes are clean and that you smell good or at least neutral without offending odors. Try not to wear cologne or perfume with strong scents because even if they’re inoffensive to you, you could be nauseating your coworkers.

You should always have extra deodorant, a comb, toothbrush, and toothpaste on you or at work. You never know what you could forget or what might go wrong!

Smart Shoes

For a cohesive look, choose a pair of smart shoes that you can wear throughout the day. Loafers are a classic, versatile style which works with trousers as well as with skirts and dresses. They work for any season, too.

It’s important to wear a shoe that’s comfortable enough to sustain you from 9 to 5—yet will work for your walk home and those after-work outings.

Play with Prints and Patterns

Business casual does not have to mean your clothing must be boring. Mix and match bolder items with classic, minimalist ones.

You can experiment with a colored shirt, a patterned blouse, a textured jacket, a polka-dot dress–there are many options to explore. These details add playfulness to your outfits without being over the top, and if well-chosen, these details will get you noticed for all the right reasons.

Don’t Forget to Accessorize

Pairing a few carefully selected accessories to your outfit help elevate your aesthetic. A statement necklace and a matching pair of earrings, for example, will add polish to your look, while a watch is an essential to being put-together.

While it’s better to keep the bulk of your work wardrobe fairly neutral so you can mix and match, accessories can add the spice to keep things from being too plain.

With accessories, you can be a little bolder, so don’t be afraid to try out new things. It’s easier to stay up-to-date and trendy with your accessories. It could be a hat, scarf, or a bold ring.

A Few Go-To Items

A set of versatile staples will make getting dressed easy. For example, a well-fitted jacket will immediately spruce up your outfit, so a few different ones is a good idea.

Some basic trousers like chinos and slacks are a must year-round. Sleek cardigans and jumpers in luxurious materials look dressy while keeping you warm. Use these single items as your go-to pieces, then tailor the rest of your outfit around them.

Business casual doesn’t need to be boring. Every office and job is going to have their own dress code—so, familiarize yourself with the setting, dress the part, and don’t forget to put a little “you” in your outfit.

Charm Buying Guide: Choosing a Charm for Someone Else

Thinking of a gift for someone special is no easy task. For one, you want to give the impression that the gift is well thought out and that you considered the person’s lifestyle and personality in buying the item. For people who want to create an unforgettable gift-giving experience, sentimental gifts are the best choice.

They are called sentimental gifts because they take the receiver back to a special moment in their lives that bring them nostalgia. One example of a sentimental gift that is both meaningful and personal is a charm that the receiver can add to his or her bracelet to signify special occasions and important things in the wearer’s life.

To help you determine which silver charms to give to the special people in your life, Ross from Fraser Ross put together this guide on which charms are best to give on certain occasions:

For your newborn daughter

You don’t have to make your newborn baby wear jewelry at such an early stage, but you can buy a charm bracelet that they will be able to wear when they grow up. Build up a collection of charms that represent important milestones in your daughter’s life, and give it to her as a gift when she’s older. More than getting memorable charms, be sure to get a bracelet that is made from sterling silver, and stay away from nickel silver which can cause allergic contact dermatitis.

For your special someone

Nothing is more unique than your own love story. Mark your special moments with charms that can be customized with a personal message, and charms that are engraved with ‘Anniversary’. Giving a charm bracelet complete with charms that celebrate your love is a great way to make every moment count with your special someone.

Your sister

Charms are a great way to celebrate your special bond with your sibling. To make it more personalized, consider her personal style as well as the activities she enjoy doing, and get a necklace that will fit her lifestyle. For instance, if she likes hanging pendants and charms on her necklaces, you can get her a sterling silver or gold chain that can accommodate the weight of charms. If you intend to give her charms that are large and heavy, go for twisted link chains and heavy rope chains.

Making the gift personalized

If the person you are giving the charms to has a job that requires typing, you may want to get charms that will fit closely onto the bracelet so that they don’t get in the way when he or she is typing. If your sister or your special someone loves creative accents, buy dangle charms and Murano glass beads that will add drama and a touch of color to the gold or silver chain.

Types of charms

When shopping for charms, you will find that there are different types of charms that range in prices based on the material used and on the presence of stones or diamonds.

14k gold charms– luminous charms that are made from 14 karat gold. This type of charm is more resistant to scratch due to the presence of other non-gold metals. You can find 14k gold charms in a wide range of designs including opulent flowers, heart clip, and shimmering droplets

Sterling silver charms – this type of charm goes well with sterling silver chains. You can choose from dangle sterling silver charms, unicorn charms, and dog tag style charms, just to name a few.

Two tone charms (gold and silver) – the perfect type of charm to add elegance into your current charms collection. Two tone charms are made from 14 karat gold and sterling silver.

Murano glass charms – these charms draw on centuries of craftsmanship. Intricate methods and traditional techniques are used to create them. Murano glass charms are crafted to accentuate the beauty of color and the depth of the design.

When buying charms as a gift, it is important to choose charms that will not damage the bracelet. Pandora charms, for example, have an inner thread that allows the charms to move smoothly around the bracelet without causing scratches.
