How I am making the most of my Pinterest page

Pinterest has been around for many years. I have had an account on there for as long as I can remember but it is only until recently, that I have started paying more attention to my pins. Before I go on, I must confess, Pinterest was one of those social media platforms that confused the hell out of me. I never really understood it or what to do with it, but I have learnt a lot over the years, and still learning. Like every other social media platform, Pinterest is always evolving, and I am slowly starting to understand it all.

I am slowly growing my Pinterest following, with the number currently just under 500. That number doubled in the last few weeks, so I know the extra attention I am giving my boards is working. But I am more impressed with my monthly views currently at 208,800 and my monthly engaged number at 15,900. I have also noticed a spike in the number of my blog views from Pinterest, and I want to see those numbers increase some more in the next few weeks. Every extra blog traffic is good, and Pinterest is now my number 1 social media referral for Fashion and Style Police.

How I am making the most of my Pinterest page

Many bloggers have written so many articles on how to grow your Pinterest page, and I am sure you would have read a few of them already. Blogger – Forever Amber is a lover of Pinterest, and has raved about it many times. I know I have read loads and I never really understood the tips and how they worked. So I pretty much gave up on Pinterest. If you ask me what my tip is for making the most of my Pinterest page, the truth is I have none. But I always made sure I pinned every new post on the relevant boards.

I also took some time every week to go through my feed to pin images I liked on my boards. I also pinned images with posts I wanted to read at a later date. So I guess my strategy is consistency. Doing the same thing over and over again. I am happy to see my hardworking is finally paying off on Pinterest, and I am now determined to put in extra time to grow my Pinterest following and increase my engagement and viewers.

The power of social media

Social media is so very important. Any serious business owner knows the importance of having a strong social media presence. You would be living in a hole if you don’t know the power of social media. One of my many goals this 2019 is to grow my social media following. Now that I have seen the power of Pinterest, I now know why most of the American bloggers I know rave about it.

  1. Wow! Thanks, I needed that blog. I have had a Pinterest account for at least 5 years now and have no idea why. I too am confused by Pinterest but I’ll start exploring it more closely from now on.

  2. Ì love Pinterest. Have used it for years. Ì have all sorts of collection boards like travel board, beauty and make up, what to wear perfect recipes and my bakes motivational, bereavement and spiritual boards and more.

Comps on there a few and far between. Alot of the companies don’t make it clear what they are judging. There is far less comps.

Though alot of comp co’s do want you to pin to a board on there which is straightforward. Ì like Pinterest. It’s a great way to save your www touring stuff and beable to go back to to it easily. Ì always have a chrisymas board going on there where I save any good ideas for presents and stocking fillers during each year .

    • Just keep pinning images you like on your boards. Also pin every post you publish, and follow boards that inspire you. It takes sometime but you will get there.

  3. Pinterest is amazing!!! I didn’t know what a great impact it would have on my blog until I gave it a try, may pageviews went up and I was so glad to be able to share my work with so many more people. I didn’t know what the heck I was doing at first but I think I’ve got the hang of it now.

  4. I am a pinterest lover and I can guarantee that if you stick with pinterest and consistently create content for their search engine, they will return the favor by showering your with traffic! Love your blog and I wish you hundreds of thousands of followers!

  5. Amazing article! One more thing I noticed with my Pinterest profile that I made my pinterest page grow to 500k monthly viewership but the monthly engaged was very bad. I think people should also add very high quality info graphics that just catches the attention and spending more time in creation. Loved your article, keep up the good work coming.
    Regards
    Kathy
