Outfit Post – Wearing a White Vogue Crop Top

Many years ago, you wouldn’t catch me wearing a white piece or crop tops. I found white too high maintenance, so I stayed away from white clothing and accessories. Fast forward to 2018, I have quite a few white pieces and I am eagerly looking forward to growing my collection. There is something soft and feminine about the colour white. It is such a pretty shade. I still find white high maintenance but I now like the shade too much to ignore. I know many people shy away from wearing white for various reasons. But I think once you discover how amazing a shade it is, then you are completely hooked.

This stunning White Vogue Printed Crop Top – Molly is a new wardrobe addition that I love so much. I love the fact that I can style it in various ways. It is one of those easy to wear pieces every woman should have in their wardrobe. The skirt is also a new addition. I got it some weeks again and wore it for the first time here. Both pieces are super comfy, which is amazing with this hot and cool weather we have been having for the last few days here.

I am usually not fan of crop tops. I find them kiddy and showing my abs is usually not my style, even if they were dead fit. But I found a way around with this top because I really like it. The easiest way to style crop tops with no outerwear and show as little abs as possible is to style it with a high-waisted skirt or trousers. Which is exactly what I did here.

I usually shy away from maxi dresses because I struggle to find the right fit. As a petite woman, finding the right maxi dress to suit my body shape can be a struggle sometimes. When the opportunity came for me to pick a River Island dress to style, I decided to go outside my style comfort zone, and go for a maxi dress. I am a huge fan of River Island pieces, especially their jeans. They are all I wear. So I was sure I would find the right maxi dress to suit my shape. And I did. This stunning dress is simply beautiful. I love the fact that it is not body hugging. It is such a comfy piece to wear. The sequin embellishment is a beauty to behold. And so is the lace-up v neck and side split. The style of this maxi dress is great for my body shape and with heels, it is the perfect length too!  Styling this lovely dress was dead easy. The dress has the “wow” factor already, so it was best to let it do all the talking. Nothing else should compete with this sort of dress, so all accessories and jewellery wear kept at a minimum. I am so in love with this sequin dress. It is definitely a great party dress. I can see myself wearing this beauty to an event/party.

When it comes to styling maxi dresses, I think it works best when there is a waist-defining design to it. This is why this River Island maxi dress works great because the tie waist keeps the waist defined.

Outfit Post – Loving Summer Fashion

It feels like this summer has gone on forever. I started rocking my summer pieces since April this year. The heat wave has been on and off since then and it feels like this has this has been the longest summer ever. It is definitely the longest summer I have ever experienced in the UK. I am grateful I am able to wear a lot of my summer pieces. I hear the heat wave would be on and off until October, which is great new for summer lovers. Summer fashion has been giving me life this year and I am not in a hurry for that bit to go away. I am seriously loving the summer pieces in the stores and my outfit post category on Fashion and Style Police has been very busy.

I am wearing this stunning Rose Cami Strap Maxi Dress – Serenna. This beauty landed on my doorstep some weeks ago and it has been worn twice already! I love the design of the dress a lot. And I think the colour is really pretty too! Definitely a perfect piece for a cooler summer day. It was very easy to style and dead comfy too! It is one of those pieces you throw on when you can’t be bothered to think too much about accessories, because it goes with almost everything.

This stunning maxi dress features cami straps with a bodycon fit. The flattering body hugging style is right up my street. It is definitely a season must-have!
