Product Review: Boots No 7 & Vichy Laboratories

I have been in search for a fabulous body oil since I ran out of my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour All-over Miracle Oil. I came across this Vichy Laboratories Ideal Body Oil while browsing online and decided to give it a try. I like to have many lip balms around during the autumn/winter months, so I also got the Boots Essentials Strawberry Lipsalve. And I needed a different exfoliator; after using my Clean and Clear for Donkey Years, I needed a change. So I went for the No 7 Beautiful Skin Radiance Exfoliator.

Vichy Laboratories Ideal Body Oil

The unique combination offers smoothing and nourishing properties and combines 10 luxurious oils extracted from: Apricot kernel, Passionflower, Corn, Rice Bran, Sunflower, Blackcurrant Pips, Rosehip, Coriander, Macadamia and Jojoba oils.

Here are my thoughts on this body oil:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging and the rich gold colour.
  2. It has a subtle scent which I love.
  3. It is great for sensitive skin.
  4. No parabens.
  5. It is a dry texture so not too oily, which is great for my combination skin.
  6. It nourishes my skin.
  7. It leaves my skin feeling and looking smooth and soft.
  8. It can be used all over the body, including on the hair.

CONS

None

This is my first time trying a Vichy product and I am very impressed with this body oil. I will be buying it again and I recommend it to anyone in need of a rich body oil. This Vichy Laboratories Ideal Body Oil is what you need. It currently retails for £22 per 100ml at Boots and many other stores.

No 7 Beautiful Skin Radiance Exfoliator

This is a new product from the No 7 range so there is no product description on the website yet. Here are my thoughts on it:

PROS

  1. It exfoliates my skin beautifully, getting rid of all the dead skin cells, leaving it soft and smooth
  2. I like the combat packaging. Great to take along on holiday.
  3. At £8.50, it is good value for money.
  4. It is easy to apply and wash off.

CONS

  1. No waiting time instructions on the pack. So I leave mine on for about 5 minutes, but it would be great to know the recommended application and waiting time.
  2. It does the work but I expected a lot more from it. Maybe because I was blown away by the No 7 products I tried the other day. I expected this to be as fab as they are.

It is a good product but I won’t be buying it again. I am still in search for the perfect exfoliator, so let me know if you have any in mind.

Keep your lips looking hydrated and luscious with Boots Essentials Lip Balm Strawberry.

Dermatologically tested.

PROS

  1. I like the pretty pink packaging.
  2. It is easy to carry around.
  3. It is very cheap – £1.
  4. I like the fact that it is in form of a lipstick.
CONS
  1. I don’t like the smell of this lip balm at all.
  2. It does not nourish my lips properly. I have to apply loads on my lips to get them moisturised.
  3. It breaks easily, making a mess.

I won’t be buying this lip balm again and I do not recommend.

What do you think of these products? Have you tried any?

My Custom Stickers

fashion-and-style-police-stickers-image

Being an online entrepreneur means there is a lot of self promotion going on. I mean it would be silly to set up a blog or any kind of business and not promote the hell out of it. I just published a post on how blogging can be a job, so have a read and share your thoughts on it.

I am not quite a professional when it comes to self promotion. I am better at promoting others but I have come to realise that for me to promote others successfully, I have to be able to promote myself first. And that is where these custom stickers come in.

I got these custom stickers sent to me some days ago and I am loving them. They have been keeping me very busy.

The lovely people at StickerApp got in touch and offered to send me some custom stickers, and I jumped at the offer. I have always wanted stickers with my blog design, so this opportunity was amazing collaboration.

For those who have never heard of StickerApp, it is printing company with more than 9 years in the business of printing custom stickers, so these guys know what they are doing when it comes to stickers in general.

I found the StickerApp website very navigate, I didn’t need special instructions or dummies guide to place my order. It was a smooth process, and I got my custom stickers within a week of placing my order, which was fab. I went for a glossy coated vinyl material (which is actually StickerApp’s bestselling material), 14.4x3cm, and 84 in quantity, which I believe is more than enough. The order was just under £35, so it is quite affordable.

As you can see, I have been playing around with my stickers already, sticking them everywhere and anywhere. I find decorating my notebooks very relaxing. Do you find it relaxing?

The notepad above is where I write all my blog secrets, so many of my blog ideas and freelance work is drafted in there. I got this notepad at the beginning of the year and it doesn’t leave my sight. I am sure I would have covered the entire cover with the StickerApp custom stickers by the end of the week.

I am looking forward to promoting my brand some more with these stickers. I will be sticking them on my possessions and carrying them around with me. Who knows what will happen.

You can grab your stickers on the StickerApp website (link in bio), with this 20% discount code – STYLEPOLICE, valid until 1st December 2016.

What do you think of my custom stickers? Are you a fan of stickers? Sound off in the comment section below.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Review & Giveaway – VITASTIK Vitamin Diffusers

vitastik-picture

I have had my eye on VITASTIK Vitamin and Essential Oils Diffusers for a while now. I previously reviewed some VITASTIK Vitamin Vaporisers some months ago. I reviewed the Energize, Grace, Refresh, Calm and Relax flavours, and I must confess, I was blown away by how amazing they were. It is indeed the Holy-Grail of Vaping and Diffusing. So when I had another opportunity to review the new flavours, I grabbed the offer with both hands.

The science behind these VITASTIK Vitamin Diffusers is simple – a Smoke-Free, Nicotine-Free, PG-Free and Diacetyl-Free, Organic Based Product. The first and only product (at the time of writing) that can boast of all these in the market today. And made from something we use everyday, something that makes up over 60% of the human body and over 90% of plants….WATER! It is a healthy way to vape, which is how the brand got the “If you wouldn’t Eat it, then you shouldn’t Vape it !” motto from.

All “USA” made VitaStik’s contain roughly 1 recommended daily intake of Collagen, Vitamin A, B complex, C, D, E & CoQ10.

The flavours I received are – Energize, Beauty, Relax, Calm, Breathe, Handsome, Amore, Sleep, Tonic and Flora.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging. It is very colourful, pretty and compact. Easy to carry around discreetly if needed.
  2. I like the variety of flavours. There is a flavour for everyone.
  3. I love the fact that this can be described as organic vaping. It sounds a lot healthier than other ecigs in the market.
  4. Most of the flavours names are different. I like different. I also like the name – VITASTIK (Vitamins in a stick).
  5. They smell fab. The names represent exactly how each flavour makes you feel.
  6. You don’t need a lighter, it lights up as soon as you drag on it.
  7. I like the fact that vitamins, therapeutic essential oils and organic flavour waters are the only ingredients in these VITASTIKS.
  8. You don’t have to deal with smoke or bad breath, it is all VAPOUR.
