OOTD: Autumn in Cheshire

autumn-outfit-image

Burgundy is one of my favourite colours and I know that is the same for many. Rocking a burgundy piece in autumn/winter is one of the coolest style things to do. There is something about wearing a burgundy piece that just ticks all the boxes for me. This sweater is no different. I knew I had to have it as soon as I laid eyes on it. I found the gold stud holes details so unique and stylish. It is also dead comfy for a chilly day. I can picture myself wearing the life out of this beautiful piece in the upcoming months.

Some people wonder why ‘fashionistas’ avoid wearing very bright colours during autumn/winter, and instead for ‘dull’ colours. I really can’t say why this happens. I guess people dress based on what they see in vogue in the stores, so fashion designers may be the best people to ask. I sometimes bright colours in autumn/winter, but I tend to go for monochrome, burgundy, khaki and similar colours during this season instead because it works for me.

The weather is getting really cold here in Cheshire, so I am keeping warm with layers. Everything I have on here has appeared on the blog before except the burgundy sweater. I got that some weeks ago at Cheshire Oaks Outlet, and as you can see it is a great complementary piece, that would fit nicely into any wardrobe.

OOTD: A Fashion Blogger Cheshire

I am loving the autumn season and layering trend going on. It is my favourite time of the year as it is not too hot or too cold, and only rains on few occasions in Cheshire, so I am loving it at the moment. But the layering trend is my favourite part of autumn. I wore this outfit some days ago. I had errands to run and some friends to see, and I wanted a very casual chic look; this is what I came up with.

Many of these items are new additions to my autumn wardrobe. I got the sweater, shirt, shoes and bag at my shopping event at Cheshire Oaks some weeks ago. And I love that they all complement my existing wardrobe already. That is 1 thing I look out for when shopping. I always have a plan and a list of pieces and accessories I need to fill in the gaps in my wardrobe. I don’t do impulse shopping. Apart from the fact that it is bad for your bank balance or credit card statement as the case might it, it also messes up your wardrobe. You end of having many items you can’t pair together, which means they can be left unworn with the tags on in your wardrobe for years to come.

Shopping smart means I never run out of outfits to wear, regardless of the season. And that is extremely important as a Fashion Blogger. It would be ridiculous for me to go shopping every week (even if I could afford to) to show off a new outfit, but thanks to having a capsule wardrobe, every outfit looks new.
