OOTD: Bare Legs

OOTD: Bare Legs

I took these pictures a week ago when the weather became mild enough to go without tights. That is a distant memory now with the crazy storm we are currently facing, but if you remember, we had  a weekend, I think a week ago, when the chill in the air kind of disappeared. Well, I made the most of the lovely mild weather, went out and about in SANDALS, without TIGHTS, and took some blog photos. It felt so good. it was the best thing ever. I have a love and hate relationship with tights as some of you may know. Sometimes, I love them, sometimes I do not, but overall, I wish I could walk around showing off my bare legs, wearing a skirt or dress in the heart of winter.

I do find the normal plain tights boring, so I look out for pattern designs, to add a bit of fun to my look, when I do have to have them on, and with the horrible weather conditions we have going on in the UK at the moment, I am going to be needing pairs of tights for a bit longer, but for this outfit post, I get to show off my legs.

In other news, I have fallen in love with the poncho trend this season, so you will be seeing quite a bit of ponchos in the next couple of outfit posts. I find them so stylish and chic. It is a cleaver way of looking bang on trend and staying warm, and this piece does just that.

I also adore the leopard print, it is so pretty, it would look amazing on anything, a pair of jeans, leggings, jeggings, skirt or dress like I styled it here.  It also feels soft to touch. I love this new wardrobe addition a lot, can you tell?

Hey peoples. It is a new week and I have a new outfit for you. I am so proud of myself, so far this year, I have had at least 2 outfit posts each week. I have been super organised, planning outfits well in advance, and finding the time to actually photograph them, against all odds. I hope this organisation carries on for the rest of the year. It will be amazing.

There is something about the suede material. I find it so very chic, so it should come as no surprise that I have quite a few suede pieces and accessories. Suede pieces play a major role in my winter wardrobe, I find them stylish, easy to wear, and dead warm. Perfect for the chilly weather.

I love this Red Herring tan sleeveless suede dress. It is the PERFECT dress. It can take you from day to-night easily, and the relaxed fit is so my style. I got this beauty in the sales, it was a whooping 70% off, best bargain ever.

My only issue with this piece is I am not too sure how to get it cleaned. the label say no washing, no tumble drying, dry clean only, but on the website it says machine washable. I know the label instructions should override any other instructions, but I am kind of hoping I can wash it in the washing machine. Not tried to yet as I am scared I will ruin it, but I tend to avoid dry clean only pieces as much as I can because of the whole stress of going to the dry cleaners, every time I need to get a piece cleaned.

Hey peeps. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have known that yesterday was my birthday, yayyy. I took the day off blogging and just focused on having a good time, and I did. I had a lovely spa day, and a delicious Chinese dinner, with my favourite people. I am extremely grateful for another year and looking forward to greater things ahead.

If you remember, I featured an outfit post on leather leggings some days ago and I got mixed reviews. Many liked it, but some did not think it was something they could wear. So I decided to feature the leather leggings again, but in a completely different way, and I hope it changes the mind of those who think leather pants are not for them, because leather leggings like any other leggings is a wardrobe staple

To refresh your mind, this is how I wore my leather leggings last week:

OOTD Leather Pants

I went for a chic casual look by pairing the black leather leggings with a blue crop top sweater, chelsea boots, sunnies and a faux fur coat.

This week I went for a more dressy look. The tall black shimmer high neck tunic top  complements the leggings beautifully. I am petite but I went for ‘tall’ because I wanted it longer than my regular tops. The top hides all the bulges and bumps anyone would be concerned about, and it changes the look completely. Yea, leather leggings are versatile like that.

I hope this post inspires someone out there. That is the whole idea behind the Outfit Post series, to give you ideas on how to match pieces you already own, and what pieces you could add to your collection. Leave me a comment with your thoughts on the outfit.
