3 Comfy Shoes for Holidays

Walking and holidays go hand in hand. While on holiday, the last thing you want to bother about are your shoes. So it makes sense to ensure you only take comfy shoes for holidays. I have a holiday booked for next month and I am seriously looking forward to it. It is our first trip for the year and it is long overdue.

We like to explore cities we visit, so naturally there would be a lot of walking. I usually stay away from heels on holiday, except there is an event that requires it. If there isn’t, flats work perfectly for me.

Here are some comfy shoes for holidays.

They are super comfy; it feels like I am walking on foam, and it looks so good. I am seriously looking forward to taking this away on holiday with me next month. Walking around in this would be a dream.

I got this TOMS shoes over a year ago and it is still one of my travel favourites. It is my first TOMS, and I love it. I find it super comfy and stylish. It is one of those pairs I find myself wearing over and over again because it is just too easy to style.

I have taken this TOMS on a few trips already and no regrets so far. It will be in my travel bag for my next trip for sure.

I got this Lust Kurt Geiger Denim Shoes last year, and took it away on my trip to Milan for my 30th Birthday. I am a huge fan of Kurt Geiger shoes and this beauty right is one of the reasons why.

It is super easy to style, and the oversize bow gives it the WOW look. I love it.

What do you think of these comfy shoes for holidays? Are you in love with any pair in particular? Can you guess where I am off to next month? I mentioned the city in this post. Please sound off in the comments section below. Thanks for stopping by.

Why January is the Best Time to Shop for a Wedding Dress

It’s the beginning of the year. Everything about it is new and full of promise. January doesn’t just represent new beginnings and excitement; it is also the best time of the year to shop for your dream wedding dress. That is if you have a wedding planned of course.

In the same way we work on making positive changes in our lives, couples believe that January is the right time to make wedding plans. And when you talk about wedding plans, the wedding dress is the highlight of it all. It is appropriate as many proposals are made during the Christmas season.

But ever wondered why January is the ideal time to buy your wedding dress? Well, in this article I’m going to give you all the reasons why.

January is the time when some new collections roll in

In the fashion industry, January is the time when some new collections hit the stores. So if you are in luck, you could possibly be walking down the aisle wearing a unique flowing wedding gown.

January is the time you get to enjoy the best discounts and get great bargains on wedding dresses

Since it is the first month of the year, this is the time when designers and wedding dress merchants want to make killer sales. To get your attention, they sell their wedding dresses at a bargain prices to clear the old stock.

As you shop around for wedding dresses you will be shocked to find classics selling at very low prices. The discounts are more than you have ever dreamt was possible for a wedding dress. So it makes sense to buy a wedding dress while the January sales are on.

January is also the time when sample sales take place. What this means is that wedding dresses are sold below their true value to test the market.

January is the time when the supply of secondhand dresses is replenished

No bride is left out in the month of January. Some brides plan their weddings on a strict budget. And with the wedding dress being usually the most expensive item on the wedding checklist, it can be very difficult for some couples to afford.

The good news is that the supply of secondhand wedding gowns is replenished in January. Like I mentioned earlier the new year is considered a time of new beginnings. As a result of this many people do wardrobe hauls just to create room for new outfits for the year. Preloved wedding dresses are donated to charity shops or sold for a bargain price on eBay, Facebook and other online platforms.  January is indeed the best time of the year to buy a wedding dress.

OOTD: My Love for Backpacks

Since becoming a mother, my fashion life has taken a back seat as expected. I am unable to wear sky-high shoes when out and about with the twins. I only started going out with my handbags. In the early days, I used to share the baby bag with them. I couldn’t see the point in taking 2/3 bags out at the same time.

During those days, I began to appreciate backpacks and shoulder bags. The fact that I could pop everything I needed in a backpack and still have my hands free to push the buggy or grab a child felt amazing. These days, you can easily spot me with a backpack. I find them very comfy and handy to have around. So when the opportunity to feature a Zatchel bag landed on my doorstep, I knew the style I was going for instantly.

I went for the Belgrave Cream Backpack. I really like the design and colour. This beauty is handmade in England from the finest quality soft leather. I adore the quick open clasp concealed behind the buckle and two front pockets with magnetic closures. I think it is a cute and stylish backpack.

The green top is also a new wardrobe  addition. I got it in the sale some weeks ago. It has been worn a few times now because I find it dead comfy and easy to layer with a blazer.

I am still in the process of sorting out my autumn/winter wardrobe. I am hoping to finish up this week. So look out for loads of autumn/winter outfit posts. I have a few lined up already.
