Hey people. Happy new week. I hope you all had a terrific weekend, because I did. It is another Monday, and I am ready to set this week off with a bang and finish off February on the highest note.

For this double denim outfit post, I am rocking two denim pieces and accessories with a black and white scarf, gold sneakers, black sunnies and black bag.

I love rocking the denim on denim look. I find it effortlessly chic and easy to style. The weather is getting a lot better, the chill has reduced so it is the perfect time to start layering with lighter pieces, and I am starting off with this double denim outfit. Twice as much denim, is twice as good!

This Joules denim dress is a new addition in my wardrobe. I have not had a denim dress in my wardrobe for years so I was happy to grab this online. I fell in love with it as soon as it landed on my doorstep. I love the free fit of this jersey pocket dress. It is timeless, classic and very flattering. It can be worn layered up with leggings/jeggings during winter, or worn on its own during summer. It is such a versatile piece, I will be wearing a lot of it during the coming months.

Another new wardrobe addition is this Lacoste Aviator sunnies. It is my first pair of Aviator style sunglasses so you can imagine the love I have for it.  I adore the contemporary, oversized look. You will be seeing a lot of this beauty on Fashion and Style Police.

January 2016 Outfits

I know January isn’t over yet but I can’t wait for it to be over. I know it is my birthday month, so it’s automatically one of my favourite months but this month has gone for a very long time now. I can’t wait for it to be February already.

January was a good month for outfits on Fashion and Style Police. I have a whooping 6 outfit posts for this month alone, that is a lot of me, as I never have the time, with juggling two toddlers and a household, to take as many outfit photos as I would like. I would love to take an outfit post everyday and I use to do that in the early days, when I was child-free, and not so busy.

Every photo shoot session is planned days in advance, and it takes the grace of God for it to go as planned on some days, lol..

Anywoo, I am proud of my efforts this month, and I hope it continues for the rest of the year.

Without any further ado, here is a quick recap of every outfit I featured this month. Catch if you missed any.

OOTD: Happy New Year

Style Police

This was my first post of the year. I was in London for Christmas, and I remember it being painfully cold while taking the photos. I was happy with the pictures, so it paid off in the end. This outfit was all about layers, how to look stylish, no matter how cold it may be. That Joules poncho came through, it was dead warm wearing it. A great piece to have in your winter wardrobe.

OOTD: How to Style the Ugg Boots

How to style Ugg Boots

I came across a photo of Rihanna today rocking similar Ugg Boots, and I was like, ‘that is how you do it’, lol..I don’t people who say they don’t like Uggs or don’t know how to style them. I find them so easy to style. The fakes are everywhere, so I guess most people have no idea how the originals feel like. They are the best, trust me. I bought a fake Uggs mistakenly some years ago. That was my first pair and I just thought I got a bargain online, until they came, then I knew I had been scammed. The originals are completely different.

OOTD: Slicker than your Average

OOTD Leather Pants

This is my favourite look for January. The sun was out and I remember being in the mood for pictures (not always in the mood, and I can see the excitement on my face. I loved the outfit as well, and my hair was newly made, I think I went to the hairdresser’s, the day before. I also love the post name I came up with. Happy days.

OOTD: A Tartan Tunic Dress

OOTD A Tartan Dress

I must confess, I wasn’t jumping out of my chair when I received this tartan dress. It looked a bit different from what I saw online, but as soon as I wore it, I fell helplessly in love. It was perfect. I have worn it a couple of times now, and I still love it. It is very different from anything else I hae in my wardrobe.

OOTD: How to Wear Leather Leggings

Max Mara Leather Leggings Picture

This is one post I did was a 100% for my readers. The comment I got on the where I had the leather leggings on made me do another post, styling the leather legginngs differently, just so you could all see how else you could wear it. It was a quick photo shoot, but the pictures do not give that away at all.

OOTD: The Suede Look

This was my birthday outfit. I took the pictures on my birthday before heading out to enjoy my spa day at The Mere. I changed my boots last minute, and the look I was going for worked.

Which is your favourite outfit?

OOTD: Happy New Year

Happy New Year

Happy New Year guys. Welcome to 2016. I am super excited about the new year. I have huge things planned for the 2016, and I hope everything goes as planned, fingers and toes crossed. How are you celebrating the new year? I am pretty much indoors today with the rest of the fam, eating and merrying, I will lose the added weight later, lol….

As you can see, I have a new hairdo on. I am wearing Irresistible Me Royal Remy Clip In Hair Extensions. I reviewed this product some months ago, and this is my second time rocking it. It is a 10 piece set, and it looks and feels great, the only thing I would say is, make sure you add on at least 30 minutes extra to ‘your getting dressed routine’, especially if you are as slow as I am, when it comes to styling clip in hair extensions. However, I am still so in love with the natural look, even if it is a bit of a pain clipping them in every morning.

In other news, I thought about writing some blogging resolutions for the new year, like I did in the previous year, but I decided not to because:

  1. I rather have monthly and realistic goals I can monitor and achieve.
  2. I rather not publicize the goals for now, not to jinx them.

I have my January goals listed in a notepad already, and I will be keeping a close eye on them, wish me luck.

OOTD HAPPY NEW YEAR

I was also thinking of getting a Blogger diary or organiser for the new year some days ago, but I have decided not to, and instead just go with a good old notepad, because the prices of the organisers I have seen are crazily expensive. I can’t justify spending £15 on a journal, so no, I will stick to my notepad like I have done all these years and see how it goes.

As for my outfit, I got this stylish poncho some weeks ago, and I have been waiting for the right time to wear it, and the day finally came. It was a cold windy day in London, and I didn’t feel like having a jacket on, but I still wanted to feel comfy and warm, and this poncho did just that. It felt dead warm in it, and it looked so stylish paired with an old sweater and skinny jeans. I adore this poncho, and I will be wearing the life out of it this season. It is one of my new favourite pieces because it is so easy to style, and with the shawl collar, you won’t be needing a scarf.

I got mine in S/M, and it is a great fit for a UK size 10.

FSP OOTD Happy New Year

Anyways I am off to celebrate the new year starting with some breakfast. How are you celebrating the new year?
