Invest in an oversized bag

I am a huge bag lover and I like my bags oversized so they can fit in all I need for the day. Especially when I am out of the house for hours. I have not shopped for a bag in ages but I plan to invest in 1 this autumn and it is definitely going to be an oversized bag as they are trendy and handy to have on the arm.

Cinch the waist with a belt

The easiest way to draw attention to your waist is to cinch it with a waist belt. You can put a waist belt over a top, shirt, coat, sweater and pretty much anything else. It is a timeless accessory and it will definitely add some style to an autumn look.

Add some shimmer and shine

I love adding some sparkle to my look especially for important events. Sequin is on trend this autumn so you can happily add some shimmer and shine to your outfit this season. I am looking forward to making this most of this autumn trend. It is one of the easiest way to look fashionable if you know how to mix and match the right pieces with accessories.

Pointed shoes

This autumn season footwear is all about the pointed toe heels. It is a great way to look fashionable instantly. Thankfully, I have a few in my wardrobe already, and I am looking forward to wearing them this season.

Light Layering

The best part of autumn fashion for me is the fact that I can layer lightly. I love being able to wear a top and a blazer or cardigan. It is easy to look fashionable when you have the right layers on. The light layering trend is for comfort as well as style.

Laser Hair Removal Treatment for Unwanted Hair

*Collaborative post.

Having unwanted hair on your face as a female can be frustrating. I know how frustrating it is because I am quite hairy and I have had my fair share of dealing with unwanted hair on parts of my face. I noticed the increase in the facial hair some years ago and I had to get rid of them. Thankfully there are now many ways of getting rid of unwanted hair. From using tweezers, waxing to shaving cream. However, the best way to get rid of unwanted hair on your face or body is by having a laser hair removal procedure done. I have had many laser hair removal sessions done and I can testify to how effective and safe the procedure is.

Laser Hair Removal Treatment

For those who are not aware of this procedure, laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure that makes use of a powerful laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) to remove unwanted hair on parts of your body. The procedure usually lasts a couple of minutes and it is usually pain free, so you can get back to your business of the day as soon as the session is over. Many people usually need only about 6 sessions spaced about 4- 6 weeks apart to get rid of the unwanted hair. I had 6 sessions of laser hair removal treatment on my chin many years ago and it worked great for me.

How Laser Hair Removal Treatment Works for Unwanted Hair

Laser hair removal treatment removes hair by destroying hair follicles in the skin, which disrupts hair growth. I always had on protective googles are to protect my eyes during the procedure, and so did everyone else. While the treatment is going on, you can usually smell the burning hair as the machine stings the area of the body being treated. It feels like a sting every time the machine touches the affected area and the sting only lasts a few seconds, so it is quite bearable for even those with low pain threshold like myself.

Side Effects of Laser Hair Removal Treatment

From my experience, I had no side effects but I know some people suffer from a bit of redness on the treated area. I had an after cream I applied on my chin after every procedure and I stayed out of the sun. That helped my skin heal naturally.

Laser hair removal treatment is an effective and safe cosmetic procedure for getting rid of unwanted hair. I prefer the laser method to others and I recommend it to anyone dealing with unwanted hair.

What do you think of this cosmetic procedure? Have you had it done before? Tell us about your experience in the comments section below.

How to silence the mind chatter when you meditate

If you are new to meditation,  you may be struggling with silencing the mind chatter. I struggled with that on and off for a while when I first started to meditate regularly. Now I don’t have that problem anymore. I meditate twice a day, 20 minutes in the morning and evening, and I can now do so effortlessly with no mind chatter. Now that I mediate on a daily basis, I feel a lot better all over and I can’t imagine not meditating now that I am reaping the full benefits of it.

The benefits of mediation image

Meditating simply means being still. It is taking your mind off everything, sitting comfortably and focusing on your breath while breathing in and out deeply. It is different from the prayer quiet time which I also do multiple time a day. So how do you silence the mind chatter when you meditate? Here are some tips that may help you do just that.

Meditate daily

The more you meditate, the easier it will be for you to go right into it and be still. The more you practise mediation, the more you know how to silence the mind chatter that threatens to keep your mind and head still. If you only meditate once a while, you will definitely find it difficult to be still mindfully, but if you practise on a daily basis at set times, you will gradually get into the swing of it. If you are struggling to silence the mind chatter, don’t give up on meditating. Continue to meditate on a daily basis until it becomes second nature to you.

Pick the right time

It is important you mediate alone and when you know you won’t be disturbed. Picking the right time helps as it keeps your mind focused and free from distractions. It is a good idea to put gadgets on silence so you are not disturbed. I always make sure my iPhone and Apple Watch are on the silent mode so I am not disturbed.

Keep your mind still

Whenever you find your mind beginning to wander, acknowledge the thought, bring your mind right back and focus on your breathing. It is easy to wander off when you are trying to meditate, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Just ensure you continue to bring your mind back and you will find that the amount of time you do this decreases the more you meditate. This is a clear case of practise makes perfect!

Keep your eyes closed and no music

I know some people say they mediate with their eyes open and music on. It can be possible to do this but I won’t recommend it. I struggle to keep my mind focus even when using guided meditations so I won’t recommend you listen to anything. Keeping your eyes closed is also important as it keeps you looking within and your mind is focused on your meditation and nothing else.

Start gradually

If you are struggling to keep your mind still or stay awake while meditating, then it may be a great idea to start small. Start mediating for 5/10 mins for some days and then gradually increase the amount of time you spend mediating.
