Product Review: Emjoi Micro Pedi Gift Set

Emjoi Micro Pedi Gift Set Picture

For as long as I can remember, I wanted an electric hard skin remover. I heard a lot about the Micro Pedi and others, and I have always thought of trying one of them. I never have the time to go for a proper manicure or pedicure these days, so I was overjoyed when this Emjoi Micro Pedi Gift Set dropped on my doorstep!

I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a manicure or a pedicure. Motherhood has a way of shoving everything else out-of-the-way like that. But we all need some form of pampering every now and again. And pampering from the comfort of your home from a busy day is the best thing ever! Since my soles have been neglected for years now, I had quite a lot of rough dead skin to get rid of. I was happy to try this Emjoi Micro Pedi gift set out and try I did some days ago. Here is the product description below:

This revolutionary Emjoi Micro-Pedi safely removes the roughest of skin in seconds, leaving you with beautiful soft, smooth feet. The perfect way to get salon results instantly.

Product Review: Guilty Pleasures Body Serum

Guilty Pleasures Body Serum Image

I am so in love with serums at the moment. I have just realised how amazing they are for the skin so I make sure I have at least 1 serum in my bathroom cabinet every time. I used to be one of those people who thought oils were only good for very dry skin. I used to think they would cause blocked pores, which would lead to more pimples and acne. But that is so far from the truth. Body Oils are a necessity. They reduce the amount of water and hydration lost through skin, they cleanse and enhance the skin.Any skin care routine without it is no good. There are so many body oils and serums around now, so it is easier than ever to shop around for the best product for your skin.

I have been using this Guilty Pleasures Body Serum by Simply Skin for some weeks now and it has been so handy. I have quite a lot to say about the serum and the brand so I will dive right into the review.

  4. It is quite affordable t £33 for a 50ml bottle.
  5. For every sale, £1 is donated to a Bunny Centre to provide warmth, shelter and love for rescued bunnies who would otherwise go without.
  6. This body serum is free from dangerous parabens, SLS, petrochemicals, sulfates, artificial colours and microbeads.

Product Review: Clinique Nude Pop Lipstick & Primer

This is Clinique Creamy Nude Lipstick is my very first Clinique Lipstick and also my very first nude lipstick. I got this lipstick sample from a Tanya Blur Glamour Magazine November 2015, and I must say I am very happy I got to try a nude lipstick for free and tell you all about it.

Clinique Nude Lipstick Image

I love seeing nude lipsticks on ladies. I think it is a pretty lip colour but I never had the balls to try it. I always thought it would look weird on me because of my skin tone and I was so right. Before I dive into the review, here is what Clinique has to say about their ‘Pop Lip’ Lipstick range.

Luxurious yet weightless formula merges bold, saturated colour with a smoothing primer. Glides on effortlessly to a modern-velvet finish. Colour stays true, keeps lips comfortably moisturized for 8 hours. Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free.

Here are my thoughts on this lipstick:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging a lot. I looks so pretty.
  2. I like the fact that it is a lipstick and a primer in 1.
  3. It moisturises my dry lips perfectly.
  4. I like the smooth texture.
  5. It is readily available in Debenhams, House of Fraser, Boots stores and many other stores for about £16.

CONS

  1. I don’t like the colour on me at all. It is a pinky nude and it doesn’t suit me.
  2. It is not long-lasting. Wears off pretty quickly.

Overall, I am not impressed with this lipstick at all. The shade is not for me. It gives me the ‘washed out’ look. I am also not happy with the staying power of the lipstick. It does not stay on long at all. I am happy I got to try this for free before buying as I have always wanted to try a nude lippie. There are many more colours in the Clinique Pop Lip Lipstick range, and a few of them do look nice. The Berry Pop, Passion Pop and the Cherry Pop look right up my street. Debenhams stocks the whole range, so may give them a go some day.

What do you think of this Clinique Nude Pop Lipstick & Primer? Have you tried any lipstick from Clinique’s Pop Lip range?
