I had a mini shopping haul in my local Boots store some days ago, and I decided to step up my skin care routine, and try some new skin care products. I usually never go for Boots No 7 products because I believe they are not made for my skin tone. But there was a 3 for 2 offer going on that day and I needed to try the No 7 Lash & Brow Perfector so badly  (I heard all about it at the Street Style Bus Event), so I went for that and 2 other cool products I needed, which were – No 7 Beautiful Skin Purifying Mask for Normal/Oily Skin and No 7 Beautiful Skin Overnight Radiance Boost for All Skin Types.

No 7 Beautiful Skin Purifying Mask for Normal/Oily Skin

Starting off with this amazing purifying mask, I have used it a few times now and I love it. I wish I could use it every day. It is so far the best face mask I have ever used. It is a new product so no product description on Boots Website but here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. It feels amazing on the skin. Once it is applied on the face, it heats up and feels so warm and nice. I love the warmth. It feels like I am in a Spa.
  2. I like that the application and waiting time is quick. The mask should be massaged for 2 mins, and the waiting time is an extra 2 minutes before rinsing off.
  3. My skin feels AMAZING after. It feels and looks smooth. And it looks brighter as well.
  4. It is affordable at £12.50, and there is usually the 3 for 2 offer to take advantage of.
  5. I like the packaging.

CONS

I will be buying this purifying mask again. I use this once a week now and I really like how clear my skin is looking. No cons here guys.

I use this No 7 Beautiful Skin Overnight Radiance Boost for all skin types every night. I massaged it into my skin, using small circles after cleansing. Here is the product description –

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. I love the packaging. I think it is so chic and pretty. It comes in a pump which I like.
  2. I love the light fragrance.
  3. I love the texture. It feels good on my face.
  4. It exfoliates my skin overnight.
  5. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin. My skin is looking so radiant and healthy.
  6. It is quite affordable at £14.

No cons here either. I will definitely be buying this again.

 

No 7 Lash & Brow Perfector

I have been after a good Lash and Brow Gel for awhile now. I ran out of The Body Shop Brow Gel some months ago, and I have been in search of another since then. So when I saw how brillant this No7 Lash & Brow Perfector was at the beauty sessions at the Street Style Bus Event, I knew I had to get it.

No7 Lash & Brow Perfector is a caring, conditioning gel to enhance and shape your lashes and brows.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. It conditiones my lashes and brows.
  2. My brows stay in place all day.
  3. I love the compact packaging.
  4. It is quite affordable at £8.50.
  5. It has a very light texture. It does not clump the brows or lashes.

I really like all 3 products. And I can see myself buying them again.

Product Review: Vita Coco Coconut Oil

I was sent this Vita Coco Coconut Oil to review some weeks ago, it has been tried and tested and it has a 100% pass mark from me but before I jump right into it, let me tell you a bit about this product.

So after some weeks of using this coconut oil almost every day, here are my thoughts on the product:

  1. This coconut oil is a natural multi-tasker and a good value for money. It can be used from the bathroom to the kitchen, for baking, moisturising, hair conditioning, makeup removal, cooking, you name it, it can do it.

2. Say goodbye to dry skin with this coconut oil. It is a perfect body moisturiser. I have been using it along with my body lotion, everyday for weeks now, and I can see a noticeable difference in my skin. My skin is now smooth and supple.

3. I use it as a weekly hair conditioner. I apply some of it to my hair after washing with a shampoo and I leave in for about 2/3 hours, before rinsing off with a shampoo. It has brought my hair back to life literally. My hair is now growing at a terrific rate, it has stopped breaking and it is no longer as weak and brittle as it used to be.

4. I use this coconut oil as a makeup remover. I apply on my face with a cotton wool and it removes every trace of makeup except waterproof mascara.

5. I love the smell of this coconut oil. It has a sweet, refreshing fragrance, just like a coconut.

6. This coconut oil also serves as my lip balm and it soothes my lips.

7. I love the fact that this Vita Coco coconut oil is readily available in various stores.

Sorry but I can’t fault this product. It is one of the best products I have had the privilege of reviewing this year. If in doubt, just Google up the benefits of the coconut oil, or better still, try this Vita Coco Coconut Oil for yourself, you can grab the 250ml for £5.99 at Tesco, Amazon, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose and many more stores.

We all need our beauty sleep. Sleep does wonders for our skin and mood. I can’t function without sleep. I know I get very grumpy when I don’t have enough sleep and I breakout as well. Awhile ago,I suffered from insomnia quite regularly. My eyes will be open for hours and I will toss and turn till the early hours in the morning sometimes.

With a very busy and demanding job with a long commute, I was miserable. I didn’t want to take pills, I wanted a product to aid sleep with little or no interference with my body system. That was how I ended up with this Boots Sleep Pillow Mist Lavender.

Here is the product description:

Infused with soothing essential oils, this very fine mist creates a calming aroma and encourages relaxation at bedtime.

Before getting into bed, spray the mist into the air above your bed around the bedroom. The calming aroma will help you relax and aid a peaceful night’s sleep.

PROS

  • It did the job, I felt relaxed at bedtime and slept soundly.
  • I love the cute purple bottle.
  • I love the lavender fragrance
  • It is quite affordable at £6.15

CONS

  • None. However this product is now called Boots ReBalance Dream Pillow Mist Lavender and the bottle is slightly different but it is the same.
