Outfit Post – Catching the Golden Sun

Hey Fashion and Style Police lovers! How are we? The weather has been quite chilly here, but some days are warmer than others. I took this photo on one of those warmer days. It was a beautiful morning with some sunshine. I knew I had to make the most of the golden sun, and I am glad I did. I love the photos we shot. How is the weather at your end?

Here, I am wearing a new dress. It was a gift I got some weeks ago and I have been looking forward to wearing it. I am glad I got the opportunity to style the dress without tights now that I still can. I doubt I would be able to do so in the new few weeks. It promises to be very cold here in Cheshire in the next few weeks. So I am getting my tights and warmer clothing geared up in time for the cold weather. How are you preparing for winter? Is your wardrobe ready?

The leather blazer has been in my wardrobe for a bit now. I like it so much. It finishes this outfit beautifully, giving it this effortlessly chic look. I love how it looks here.

I have had the Boots for some years and I always enjoy styling them. They tend to go with most of my autumn/winter ensembles, which is how I like my footwear and bags. That way my wardrobe remains a capsule wardrobe, the way I like it.

Outfit Post – Fashion on the Street

Happy Sunday Fashion Lovers! I hope we all are having a lovely Sunday evening. It has been a very busy weekend here with us doing some home improvements. We are pretty much done which is great because I know I have a busy week ahead. I made time out of our busy home improvement schedule to take these outfit pictures. The weather has been up and down here but I didn’t let the crazy weather take over my weekend.

I got the denim shirt from Macy’s earlier in the year and I am glad I did. It is a lovely shirt, fits great and looks even better. It is a piece that is easy to style. I styled this look effortlessly.

The black leggings is a new addition as well. I am forever buying new leggings because I wear them regularly and they wear out really quickly. I think leggings are an all weather clothing so it makes fashion sense to have a couple of them in your wardrobe. This leggings was bought some days ago. I like the quality and the petite length. Hopefully the new pairs I got would last longer than others.

Another new addition is the Fern Blue Faux Suede Flat Espadrilles Pumps. I love the colour of this flats. It is such a rich shade of blue and I am super in love with it.

This footwear is great for casual looks like this as it is super comfy but stylish at the same time. It is now one of my favourites. What do you think?

Everything else I am wearing is oldie. I have had the bag for a few years now and it still looks great. There sunglasses I have had for many years now and it always looks brand new everything I wear it. That is why I like to spend money on quality items regardless of how much they cost. I know I would get more value from money from the expensive items than from a cheaper version.

OOTD: How to Style a Black Dress

Black Dress Picture

You may have noticed my sudden love for black, especially black dresses. Well, you may think it is sudden but it is not. There was a point in my teenage years when I wore only black. My wardrobe was all about black dresses, skirts, tops, shoes, almost everything was in black back then. I found it easy to style black so it became my personal style. Nowadays, I still like to have a few black pieces in my wardrobe every now and again, but I tend to do colour more.

However when it comes down to investment pieces, black will always win. There is something about the colour black, that just does it for me. Black pieces and accessories are classy and effortlessly chic. You don’t have to over think your accessories when you have a black dress on, because any colour would look great paired next to it. It makes dressing up easy.

A simple black dress is great for those lazy days where you need to get dressed up but can’t think or can’t be bothered to think of what to wear. I love this particular black fitted long sleeve jersey midi dress with a scooped out neck and twist knot detail. I got it some weeks ago and I find it so comfortable, it feels so soft, I could sleep in it.  I think this piece is super stylish. I am going to wear the life out of this one.

The beauty about a black dress is that it never goes out of fashion, always in vogue, and with the right accessories, you could wear your black dress to every occasion, so having a couple may help create a capsule wardrobe.
