OOTD: Hello March

OOTD: Hello March

Hello everyone. Happy new month. Welcome to March. I can’t believe I blogged  everyday, sometimes twice a day in February. I hope to carry on doing the same for the rest of the year. It is a bit hard to come up with a new post everyday not to mention twice a day, but I am not complaining.  I enjoy blogging.

To kick off the new month, I have an outfit post for you and it is all about this Charlotte’s Web Recycled Brocade Sari top. I received this beauty some weeks ago and I have finally got around to wearing it. I was so inspired by Moji from Moj In Touch, she wore a similar piece some days ago, and her post opened my eyes to how best to style this piece. Check out her cool fashion blog if you haven’t already.

This sari top comes in various colours – red, black, gold green, purple pattern, pink and orange, red cherry and more colours, so there should be a colour for everyone. It is called a ‘jacket’ on the online site, but I wore my as a top. I couldn’t picture this piece looking as good if I wore it as a jacket, so I didn’t.

I wore mine with blue skinny jeans, heels, clutch bag and good old sunnies. Leggings will also look amazing paired with this piece.

All saris are lovingly hand-picked in India by Charlotte, the designer. Once the saris have all been selected, then it is over to the tailors to create each unique, beautiful piece. I love the fact that every piece is totally unique, I won’t find any other sari that is exactly the same as mine and that feels good. Makes this beauty even more special.

OOTD: Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas

Wow I can’t believe it is Christmas Eve today. This year has gone by super fast, in a good way. It has definitely been the best blogging year ever for Fashion and Style Police, and I am hoping 2016 is even better. I have so many blog projects I am working on at the moment, I don’t want to reveal too much, but it is going to be worth reading and maybe watching, crossing my fingers and toes.

Happy Holidays

As for the bright sunny photos I have here, the sun came out some days ago, and it was kind of a BIG deal, since it hardly comes out these days. I made good use of the opportunity and got some outfit pictures taken. Who knows when next I would be this lucky to have good weather, and be outfit ready at the same time. How has the weather been where you are?

I will be taking a well needed break over Christmas, so you should expect my next post to be on or around the 28th. I need the time off to relax with my family and enjoy the festive season, and I am so looking forward to eating, relaxing and doing NOTHING. I need to recharge my batteries, lol, it has been a crazily busy year.

Luxemme Outfit

Luxemme Jumper

As for this jumper, it is an Abella Luxe Chunky Knitted Jumper by Luxemme. I love the distressed look of an otherwise classic jumper, it gives a more edgy look, and the colour is so beautiful. I styled it with a pair of black leggings and cami, and knee-high boots, and I think I nailed the shabby chic look I was going for. Do you agree?

Pandora Earrings

As for accessories, I decided to keep it simple with this stunning Pandora stud earrings, sunnies of course, a scarf, and my Fitbit bracelet. I love the overall look, and I will be wearing the life out of this jumper this season.

OOTD: The Fancy Dress Challenge

Fancy Dress

I am always up for a challenge, as long as it is good fun. So when the good people of Tickled Pink Fancy Dress challenged me to pick an adult fancy dress and style it up, I was super excited. I decided to step back into the 1920s era, and I went for this gorgeous Fringed Flapper Dress. I was drawn to the stunning beaded fringing around the skirt, and the lace front. This dress reminds me of everything glamorous and chic, like 1920s and Coco Chanel. It also reminds me of a wedding scene in ‘Coming to America’, the wedding dancers had on a similar dress I think. I just need to yank off my shoes, and get in the dancing mood, lol…Have you seen the movie?

1920s Dress

Anyways, back to the dress; I love the old school look. I found this dress super easy to dress up. I added a feathered headpiece also by Tickled Pink Fancy Dress to get more of the old school vibe. I knew I needed a WOW necklace to step up the look, so I reached for my new Maleficent. Labradorite Ornate Choker Necklace by Regal Rose. This Natural gemstone beauty is currently sold out, and no surprises there, it is loved by many. This great necklace is perfect for the party season, as it adds the WOW Factor to any look. It was just want a needed to take my fancy dress to the next level.
