OOTD: Outfit Photos on a Rainy Day

Style Blogger UK Picture

The funniest thing happened while I was getting ready to shoot these outfit photos. I was getting glammed up and all, getting ready to shoot, and just when I was about to step out of the house, the heavens opened, and down came the heaviest rain we have had all the week. It was funny and annoying at the same time. I didn’t even know how to react. I knew it rained some hours ago, and it looked like it was still going to rain, but I thought I could get some outfit photos shot in time. I was so wrong. It rained and rained for a good hour.

Once the rain stopped, I quickly had the photos taken. The unpredictable British weather has taught me so many life lessons. Opportunities can come and go in a split second, I need to be present, and make hay while the sun still shines!

I usually get tempted to take indoor outfit photos on rainy days. I tried taking some on this day but they were not as good as I wanted so I had to wait for the rain to stop. Having some form of coverage like a beautiful canopy, in the garden would have been fantastic for rainy days, and days when the weather is just off, and when outfit shots have to be taken. Infinite Canopies can design and build made to measure canopies for all spaces, so it is worth having a look at what they can offer. I am seriously thinking of making the most of our outdoor space, and canopies sound like an amazing idea for blog photos and family use.

Autumn Women’s Jackets Wish-list 2015

Autumn is here and that means it is time to wrap up and stay warm. I don’t know about you, but I am beginning to feel the chill here in Cheshire, and I am seriously contemplating putting the heating on. I am hoping I can hold on for a little longer, probably until later in the month. I feel it is way too early to have the heating on. How are you coping where you are?

The only thing I am excited about this autumn is updating my wardrobe with new season staples. That will get me through this dark and gloomy season. I have been shopping around for Women’s Jackets and I have spotted quite a few. Here are my current favourites:

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania State Coat £520

Womens Jackets

Now I am going to avoid looking at that heavy price tag, and just look at the beauty of the coat, lol. I love the royal blue colour, it is perfect for the season. I also love the impeccable tailoring. I have my eye on this one.

Dorothy Perkins Grey Camo Collarless Faux Fur £59

Dorothy Perkins Coat

I love everything about this coat. The grey colour is another favourite this season, it is trendy and affordable. This piece will blend into my wardrobe nicely. I love it.

Next Black Frock Coat £80

Next

A black jacket is a must have for autumn and this piece is a beauty to behold. It is classy and chic, it will take you from the office to the bar effortlessly. Perfect piece.

Wallis Black Fur Fly Jacket £79 £50

Wallis

This fly jacket is a fashion staple to rock this autumn. It is a versatile piece, it can be worn with skirts or pants which is great. I love pieces like this that can be dressed up and down, because I get a lot of wear out of them.

Oasis Military Coat £130

Oasis Coat

I love this camel military coat. I can guarantee I will be looking sharp and feeling warm, rocking this coat. I have many outfit ideas in my head already.

Topshop Long Padded Parka Jacket £98

Topshop

Rain and autumn go hand in hand, so a padded parka jacket with a hood is a must. This Topshop piece will keep me dry and warm. I am seriously crushing on this jacket

What do you think of these jackets? Which is your favourite? Let me know, drop me a comment.

Thanks for reading.

Hey peoples! This month has been all about dresses and today’s outfit post is not any different, it is featuring yet another dress. I am making the most of the sunshine and lovely weather we are still having here in Cheshire, and rocking every unworn summer piece in my wardrobe, and this dress is one of them. I got this beauty as a gift from my mum all the way from the US and I love it so very much.

I love this pink and black dress, it blended easily with pieces in my wardrobe already and that is one thing I look out for when shopping for new clothing or accessories. I shop to fill up gaps in my wardrobe quite regularly in order for me to have pieces and accessories that complement each other. It makes dressing up so very easy.

In beauty news, I am really loving this MAC Viva Glam lipstick. It is a new lipstick in my makeup bag, I gave one away about two weeks ago as well, if you missed that post, click here, and I got one for myself and it is simply amazing. It goes with this outfit perfectly, and it looks and feels fabulous. I will be reviewing this lipstick in detail, very soon so look out for that post.
