OOTD: The Monochrome Look*

Fashion Blogger UK Image Picture

I am currently obsessed with black pieces, like you should know already, with me wearing this sexy Miss Selfridge Midi Black Dress last week, and this elegant Lace Black Dress by Phase Eight, last week as well. Black has an amazing slimming effect, suits all body types, and is so easy to accessorise. What is there not to love right?

How is the weather at your end? My end has been fab. I am loving the sunshine, I can feel summer approaching, and it is getting me in the mood for a holiday. Thomas Cook has some amazing deals on at the moment, with offers like £100 off a Las Vegas trip, £150 off a return trip to Orlando Florida, and many other cool offers. I think it is fair to say I deserve a proper outside the UK holiday, so I will be looking into booking a holiday soon. Speaking of holidays, have you got any planned for the rest of the year?

Now back to this outfit, I got this monochrome short sleeve T-shirt dress some months ago. It is one of the spring/summer newbies in my wardrobe, and I have worn it quite a few times already. It is one of those tops, you can dress up and down easily, which makes it one of my favourites at the moment. On lazy days, when I can’t think, I can just throw it up with a pair of leggings/jeggings and flats, and I am a good to go. You need everyday pieces like this in your wardrobe, they make life a lot easier some days.

OOTD: How to Style a Black Dress

Black Dress Picture

You may have noticed my sudden love for black, especially black dresses. Well, you may think it is sudden but it is not. There was a point in my teenage years when I wore only black. My wardrobe was all about black dresses, skirts, tops, shoes, almost everything was in black back then. I found it easy to style black so it became my personal style. Nowadays, I still like to have a few black pieces in my wardrobe every now and again, but I tend to do colour more.

However when it comes down to investment pieces, black will always win. There is something about the colour black, that just does it for me. Black pieces and accessories are classy and effortlessly chic. You don’t have to over think your accessories when you have a black dress on, because any colour would look great paired next to it. It makes dressing up easy.

A simple black dress is great for those lazy days where you need to get dressed up but can’t think or can’t be bothered to think of what to wear. I love this particular black fitted long sleeve jersey midi dress with a scooped out neck and twist knot detail. I got it some weeks ago and I find it so comfortable, it feels so soft, I could sleep in it.  I think this piece is super stylish. I am going to wear the life out of this one.

The beauty about a black dress is that it never goes out of fashion, always in vogue, and with the right accessories, you could wear your black dress to every occasion, so having a couple may help create a capsule wardrobe.

OOTD: Spring is Here

Outfit Post Image

It is officially spring and I am so looking forward to rocking spring wears this season. I had fun rocking winter fashion, but it felt like it dragged on for so long, and to be honest it still doesn’t quite feel like spring on most days, where I live anyways. So this post is more about me ushering in spring fashion, and hoping the lovely sunshine fills  my window.

This week has been very busy for me,and it is going to get even busier with the short week/Easter holidays coming up. I have quite a few posts I need to get ready before the end of this month, so wish me luck. A lot of writing and scheduling will have to be done, which means multiple daily content for you my dears.

Hello Spring Image

Outfit Post Closet Bolero Lace Jacket

When it comes to spring fashion, I like to layer lightly, just incase it suddenly becomes stupidly cold. For this look, I paired this blue Marchelle Crop Top Jumpsuit I got some months ago with my good old lace bolero and it worked. I felt comfortable all day (travelled down to Essex for a family event), and I looked good, if I may say so myself (wink wink).

Also, for this look I shopped my closet – all pieces were either sent to me or I bought many months or even years ago. The gold lace bolero jacket, I have had for more than 4 years now and it still looks as good as the first day I wore it. That is why buying quality pieces is so very important. When it comes to little things like socks, tights, children’s play clothes and stuff like that, I am happy to buy cheap, but when it comes clothing and accessories, I intend to wear to events and have for years, I like to go for more pricey pieces I like, because they will likely stand the test of time and wash.
