OOTD: Spring Fashion

Hey we have another outfit post at last! Thank goodness! My posting schedule has been all over the place these last few days, thanks to my laptop going crazy, struggling to keep up with me, and other life stuff. I am hoping to get back on track next week so please hang in there with me.

I took these pictures some days ago while holidaying in Essex. The weather was beautiful, and I had fun rocking some of my spring pieces.

I am really loving the spring weather at the moment. The weather is cool, the sun is usually out and there has been little or no rain. Spring fashion is also looking up, I am loving the new pieces in the stores. There are so many amazing designs, I wish I could have them all! I am also looking forward to summer fashion. Time to show off a bit more skin eh? How are you finding the spring weather?

Everything I have on is an oldie but a goldie. I found the outfit easy to style, the pieces fell into places easily, I didn’t have to over think any part of it. That is the beauty of a capsule wardrobe. I know I have written a few times about having a capsule wardrobe, and the benefits, but it is so underrated in the fashion industry, I think a lot more needs to be said about how beneficial a capsule wardrobe really is. The fashion industry seems to be focused more on buying more, rather than buying what you need to create your signature style capsule wardrobe.

What do you think of this spring look? Are you a fan of a capsule wardrobe? Please sound off in the comments section below, let’s talk.

Thanks for reading, and have a fabulous weekend!

My Addiction to Watches

If you know me well enough, you would know I am a massive watch lover and a recovering watch addict. I love my watches a lot and I am forever growing my collection. I like my watches fancy and luxurious, so they tend to be pricey.

I think a stylish outfit needs a classic watch to finish off the look beautifully. There is nothing like rocking an amazing beautiful watch with an even more amazing outfit. I would personally be lost without a stunning watch on my wrist!

One brand I am yet to shop as far watches are concerned is the Cartier brand. I have always loved and wanted a Cartier watch for as long as I can remember. I have admired the various designs from a distance for donkey years, and lusted after them. I find Cartier watches so classic and timeless. A Cartier watch is like royalty in my eyes.

I recently came across an article written by Emily Seares, on The Watch Gallery site, which was all about the Cartier watch and how the brand has managed to retain its cool factor and classic status. The article really got me thinking about why the Cartier brand is so special, and this quote right here answers this question beautifully –

Cartier is more than just a timepiece; it is a piece of jewellery, offering the perfect balance of elegance and fashion. The Dior silhouette or the Chanel black dress, a Cartier watch is a style statement so intrinsic to today’s notion of timeless classic that it should be central to every women’s wardrobe.

I agree completely with this quote. A Cartier watch is an elegant fashion accessory, every woman should have. It is a watch for every body and every occasion. It is definitely one of those watches you should spend that little bit extra on. It is worth splurging on if you can afford it, because it is a timeless piece that would probably last you a lifetime.

The look of a Cartier watch is so distinctive, it is impossible to miss. The Roman Numerals are a signature design feature along with a blue cabochon on the crown, and the vibrant, strong red of the Cartier packaging wraps it up perfectly.

What are your thoughts on this? Are you a watch lover like myself? Are you a fan of the Cartier brand? Please sound off in the comments section below.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day.

Why I Read Over 20 Blog Posts Every Day

I love reading. It is one hobby I truly enjoy, and as a Blogger and Freelance PR Consultant, I have to read as many blog posts as possible every day. Reading and writing is second nature to me, which is great because my job relies on it! So if I am not able to put on my Kindle because of a busy schedule, I can guarantee I would be able to read some blog posts during the day.

I read over 20 blog posts a day because there are so many amazing blogs around these days, it is so easy to read as many. I also comment on as many blog posts as I can.

Many bloggers underestimate the power of the blogosphere, and just instead stay busy publishing post after post on their blog without reading other blogs, which I find very funny. Except you are in the Mega Blogger Category (Is there such a category?), you should be reaching out to as many bloggers as possible, because the blogosphere world is really small, especially in the UK. We all need each other in a way.

The power of commenting on blogs is so underrated, that many bloggers don’t know the value of it. Apart from the fact that you are reading and gaining knowledge, you leaving a quality comment would probably put a smile on the blogger’s face, it would lead some traffic to your blog, which may lead to you having some loyal blog followers, brands/PRs could find your blog from a comment left on another blog, and so on. The benefits of reading and commenting on blogs you enjoy are too many to list.

I enjoy reading a variety of blogs from fashion and beauty, to lifestyle and even parenting. I also enjoy scrolling through food blogs. They usually make my mouth water and leave me hungry, but I gain so many recipe ideas from them, so I can’t be without reading them.

What sort of blogs do you enjoy reading?
