April 2017 Outfits

April was an interesting month for outfits. I styled some interesting pieces, and I am looking forward to styling even more interesting outfits this month. Last month, the outfits were all about comfort, so they were all casual and chilled, which is how I see spring.

Here is a brief recap of April 2017 outfits for those who missed it.

OOTD: Casual Spring Look

The Denim Look Outfit Image

This is definitely my favourite look for the month of April. The denim and red looked so cool together. I am definitely going to rock this entire look again.

I love everything about this look, and I found it incredibly easy to style, which was good.

The highlight of this look has to be denim shirt by Fulwood London. What are your thoughts on this look?

OOTD: Spring Fashion

This second outfit was styled easily too. I didn’t over think the pieces or accessories at all. They all just fell in perfect places within minutes.

The highlight of this look is the leather jacket by Miss Selfridge. I really like that piece. What do you think?

OOTD: Springtime Staples

This is the last outfit for the month of April, and yes it is also a casual look. I found this outfit stylish, chic and very comfortable. The weather has been up and down over here at Cheshire, so I have had to rely on light layers to keep me comfy.

The highlight of this look has to be the Gilet by Apricot. Do you agree?

Overall, I am loving Spring Fashion. I needed a break from the warm clothes and accessories. I just need the weather to stop going up and down so much.

What do you think of these 3 outfits? Which is your favourite look?

Best Dressed at The 2017 MET GALA

I have not written a “best dressed red carpet” post in months. I used to feature them regularly years ago, but I lost interest in writing about them. But I came across some amazing looks from The MET GALA 2017 red carpet, and I was blown away by the beautiful looks. The celebrities went all out with the dresses this year. Thumbs up to their stylists!

Here are my best looks from The MET GALA 2017 –

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian looked very simple and chic in a stunning white Vivienne Westwood dress. I am quite surprised she showed up looking this elegant and simple. I guess she is still recovering from the media backlash from her butt issue. The off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood Couture gown is a great choice for Kim Kardashian in this time, she slayed it!

Lupita Nyong’o

The lovely Lupita Nyong’o went bright and bold in a coral organza chiffon Prada gown with hand-cut organza flowers at its strapless neckline. She nailed it in this dress. Coral is definitely her colour. Her makeup is also on point too.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner looked amazing in this stunning La Perla Haute Couture dress. I love everything about this look. Her dress, makeup and hair are spot on! She was definitely one of the best dressed women at The MET GALA 2017.

Kate Hudson

I adore this look. Kate Hudson looked amazing in this white asymmetric shoulder Stella McCartney gown with matching platinum tresses. I really like this look. I think she looked beautiful on the red carpet.

Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes played in this off-the-shoulder look from Zac Posen. I love her hair and makeup too. She looked so beautiful.

Gisele Bundchen

Gisele Bundchen killed it in this long-sleeve silver Stella McCartney gown. This outfit ticked all the style boxes for me.

What do you think of these looks? Which is your fav?

OOTD: Springtime Staples

It is so windy outside as I write this post, but the fact remains, it is springtime (or is it?), so time to get the Springtime Staples out of the storage and grab some new pieces from the shops, if your wardrobe is in need of a spring fashion update.

I am yet to get my spring/summer clothes out of storage. I plan to sort that out in the next few days, hopefully before the bank holiday weekend next week. At the moment, this confused British weather is really messing with me. It has been up and down as usual this week, dead warm on some days, and painfully cold on some other days, like today. I hear it even snowed in Scotland some days ago.  Can you imagine that in April?

Light layering is the only way to survive spring time fashion, with the ups and downs of the weather. Thankfully, the fashion gurus saw this coming and got us prepared.

The crazy weather makes dressing up so hard sometimes. You never know how the day would really turn out, so you never know what to wear on such days. It is good to have transitional pieces like what I have on at the ready for when you need it.

Everything I have on here is from my existing wardrobe, no new pieces. I take pride in styling pieces and accessories from my wardrobe in different ways. It gives me joy when I get maximum wear from pieces.
