Autumn Fashion Season is Here

Autumn is here! The season of layering is here and it feels good to start wearing my knitwear and coats again. We always grumble about how cold and miserable the weather is but autumn fashion season is something to look forward to and enjoy. I love wearing layers. They are super comfy and stylish, and the season allows me play dress up even more. Apart from the layers and knitwear autumn allows me wear, I am also happy to be able to unleash my boots again. These are just some of the fashion and style reasons why I love autumn so much.

Autumn is so beautiful and stylish

This season is great for people of all styles. If your fashion sense is more minimalist, that would work excellently and so would those with a more maximalist sense of fashion. I am looking forward to taking more and more outfit photos this season. I have not don that in a while for many reasons. My camera roll is filled up with product and travel images, with the kiddies featuring in most. This autumn/winter season, I am planning to take some more outfit hoots outdoors as the autumn leaves are always so beautiful. The photo above was taken years ago in autumn and the background always catches my attention.

 

Apart from the beauty and style of autumn, I am also looking forward to spending time just being and enjoying the season. The darkness that comes with this time of the year can be really SAD and depressing sometimes. I always miss the sunshine and long summery days. However, this year, I am not going to dwell on how dark it is and how much I miss the sunshine. I am just going to enjoy autumn and all it brings.

Product Review – Stella McCartney Pop Eau de Parfum

I recently came across Stella McCartney Pop Eau de Parfum and I have been using it for some weeks now. Stella McCartney’s perfumes are always so good so I had high expectations for this particular fragrance. It was my first time using it and overall I am glad I got it for a discounted price. Top notes: Tomato leaves, Violet leaves, Green Mandarin
Heart notes: Violet, TUBEROSE, Plumeria
Base notes: SANDALWOOD, Cedarwood, Musks

Stella McCartney POP Eau de Parfum is a bold and unique scent with a lovely fragrance. I love the top, heart and base notes. The fragrance suits my personality and it is great for the current season. Here are my pros and cons of this perfume –

 

PROS
  1. I love the packaging. The POP bottle is so pretty. The design stands out from the rest of the perfume bottles around.
  2. The fragrance is long-lasting. It stays on for about 6/7 hours, which is nice.
  3. I like the fragrance a lot. It is not too overpowering and it smells fresh.

 

CONS
  1. I like my perfumes lasting all day, so the fact that this stays on for about 6/7 hours is a bit disappointing.
  2. The bottle has a lid that also wants as a spray and it is a bit tricky to use. I would have preferred if the lid was removable with a regular spray. Those are usually better.

Mental Health – Letting go is good for the soul

I am a recovering worrier! Back in the day, I would worry over everything. These days, I am trying my best to stop worrying, to let go and let God. Letting go is good for the soul. It is a lot easier to worry about every tiny little detail but it does nothing for your mental health. Which is why I now make a conscious effort not to worry about anything. Sometimes, it is easier to let go and not worry, and other times it can be a lot harder. But the more I make an effort to not worry about all the issues on this planet, the easier it becomes.

Letting go is good for the soul

Since I started focusing more on my spiritual life and mindfulness. I have realised that a lot of the things we are so worried about will not happen. However, the danger of worrying about issues bring our focus and attention to these issues, which can lead to us manifesting exactly what we are afraid of. Letting go does not mean we should be reckless or ignore what we are supposed to do. It just means we focus our attention on what we have power over and take our attention away from outcomes and the rest.

Here are some of the amazing benefits of letting go –

 

You will sleep better

Letting go will help you sleep better at night. Being a worrier means you will likely be up for most of the night worrying about all sorts. Letting go helps you sleep peacefully and soundly, which is great for your overall health.

 

Goodbye to anxiety and depression

This is one of the most important benefits of letting go is that you can wave goodbye to anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. Dwellling on your problems will only make you feel anxious and depressed. However, if you focus on positivity and things within your power, you will find you no longer feel as anxious or depressed. Focusing on what you have power over and positive outcomes means you feel good which is amazing for your wellbeing.

It leads to positive outcomes

Apart from the fact that letting go helps you sleep better and can get rid of some mental health problems, it can also lead to positive outcomes. The law of attraction means you manifest what you focus on. So if you are a worrier and you focus on all your cares and worries, it is likely you bring them into your reality just by focusing on them. Letting it all go and focusing on positive results and positivity in general means you attract just those into your reality.

 

I know how easy it is to worry. Just look at the Brexit mess for example. That is enough to keep many people up at night for various reasons. But being up all night won’t make the deal come quicker for example but it will mess up your body clock which will only make up more miserable. That’s the way I see it.
